  1. I thought that was a valid penalty. Pretty obvious he grabbed the stick and pulled the Leaf back to get his break away.
  2. Here is an interesting stat, if O'Shea gets extended, he will be our longest serving head coach since Dave Ritchie, who made it part way into his 5th season (fired in 2004). That is 10 years of instability of the head coaching position. Ritchie - Fired in his 5th year Doug Berry - 3 years Paul LaPolice - Fired in his 3rd year Tim Burke - 1 full season as Head Coach, part season as interim when LaPolice was fired Jim Daley - 1 full season as Head Coach, part season as interim when Ritchie was fired Mike Kelly - 1 year
  3. I'm okay with O'Shea at 3 years, as that is a pretty "standard" extension. You've had 3 years to evaluate what he is. If you (as in the club) are happy with him, believe he is your guy, then you make the commitment. If you don't believe he is that guy, then walk away. Walters for 5 seems a bit too much, especially given that he is already under contract next year, so you are really committing to him for the next 6 years. I'd rather that extension wait until mid season next year when we've had a chance to see if this team is for real or if this season has been a bit a blip.
  4. I think in general, Hillary's strategy has been to not even engage or respond to the accusations he makes because so many of them are just ridiculous and outlandish, and if she did it would quickly devolve into an argument that Donald would want. In these cases, this might be the first accusations Trump has that actually have merit (other then the email thing). Agree completely that Hillary loses against most other career politician in these debates. Although last night was probably her strongest, in general she doesn't come across as sincere. Everything seems practised, rehearsed, and planned. The good ones will use the practising and rehearsing to come across as sincere and believable.
  5. Glad they don't. Their website is horrible and I hate having to use it.
  6. This Laine kid might just turn into something.
  7. This is a bad team.
  8. I've been using www.capfriendly.com
  9. Not a fan at all of Arash Madani on Twitter, but I think he has had some very interesting articles since joining 3downnation. His latest is the challenges teams face in developing a QB at the professional level. Some nice work in getting quotes and info from people around the league. http://3downnation.com/2016/10/18/feature-hard-develop-quarterback-cfl/

  13. This is really just training people not to buy tickets early ... more so then they are already.
  14. Inductees this year: Chris Walby Ken Ploen Gerry James Milt Stegall Dieter Brock Leo Lewis Bud Grant Herb Gray Doug Brown Going forward, there will be one new one per year.
  15. Walby was the first one they put in.
  16. Only single seats now available.

  18. Have to redo the Pick 'Ems with the site reset. If you already submitted your pics, you will need to do them again.
  19. Heritage classic is coming up so time for a thread for it. Found this tweet interesting. Remember the outcry from last year and backlash on the Bombers for delaying this event due to not wanting to cannibalize Grey Cup sales? Grey Cup ticket price point and the tickets to both Heritage Classic games are very similar (can only buy the heritage games as a package). If the Jets can’t even have this event sold out a week before the game, I think the Bombers were justified in their concerns over what the effect would have been on the Grey Cup.
  20. Actually, here is an interesting question for everyone. There are some things I could have tried, but only from home, and I won't be home until after 10:30 tonight (Jets better win tonight). So my choices were revert back to last Tuesday or keep the site down for the day and probably get it back with a couple hours work (I'd say my odds were 80 / 20). Which would you have preferred? 1) Have the site down all day and wait until tonight to find out if I can get it back. 2) Lose 5 days of posts My reasoning is it sucks to lose all those posts. but it is usually the current and ongoing dialogue that is more important. Any other thoughts? And lesson learnt, no more remote upgrades..... I seriously didn't think that a failed upgrade could do what it did....
