I'd have to give Fogg #1. Offence struggled in the first half and the D kept them in the game. Defence caused 6 turnovers, need to give them the love.

Good point. I think what he means though is the commissioner cannot take away draft picks as punishment unless there is tampering. Losing picks for cap reasons isn't punishment from the commissioner, it spelled out clearly in the rules that govern how the cap is run. -

Found this tweet interesting. Then can however hand out suspensions. -
If a player has any junior eligibility left (which Stanley should), there really is no choice in the matter. He has to go to juniors.
-
If this were true why wouldn't every team fire and hire a coach every year?

A "Tourist Hit" by definition in the 2015 CFL Rule BookUnnecessary physical contact, including but not limited to, running into, diving into, cut blockingor throwing the body on a player who is:A) out of the play, orB ) should not have reasonably anticipated such contact by an opponent, before or afterthe ball is dead;C) throwing a ball carrier to the ground after the ball is dead. -

This really does set the Avs back this season to lose their head coach in August. Training camp opens in a month. That new coach will have little to no time to assess his players and to prepare for an NHL season.

The payoff for doing something like this is not immediate. If they really are bringing in mass amounts of players, they payoff for this will be next year and on going if they keep doing it. They will have a constant supply of cheap players that have already been vetted and have had time to learn the system and can step in for injuries and players leaving in free agency. -

If this is what they are doing, then wouldn't they would have to enter the country with a visa for that other job? Then how easy is it to transfer the Visa to a completely different job (when they want to roster them)? -

How do these players get into the country without a contract. Wouldn't this make them in the country illegally? -
Week 1, 36 of 37 people picked Winnipeg. There is always optimism at the beginning of the season

The majority of his contract is in pure bonuses not performance bonuses. This is the new rage to future proof players from lockouts and buyouts.

I find it highly unlikely that Willy will be released mid-season. I don't see how it makes sense. What player would you sign at this point that cutting his salary would allow you to bring someone else in? Muamba is someone that comes to mind, but he has already signed on with an NFL team, and I think I'd still rather keep Willy around this season for depth. Most other players brought in at this point won't be commanding a large salary. But if we did want to cut him: 4 year veterans get their full salary after the 11th regular season game. 5 year veterans get their full salary after the 10th regular season game. This is Willy's 5th year in the league (not sure if that makes him a 4 or 5 year veteran), so you'd have to cut him before one of those games if you wanted to re-coop the remaining salary. Also to take into account is how much of his salary was paid in pre-season bonus. Of course, in the off season, the QB situation will have to be reconsidered and addressed.

Anyone wanna sell their jersey(s)
Rich replied to Bomber_fanaddict's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Way too many jerseys to list but I think one of my coolest is a game worn gold Charles Roberts jersey from the 2007 playoffs that I found in a bargain bin in a locker room sale one year. I took it to the cashier and the guy said hmmm that shouldn't have been in there, but they sold it to me anyway. Don't know if it was worn in the Grey Cup or one of the other playoff games. Not sure if I would want it to be that Grey Cup jersey..... -
