Frankly, while wins in the regular season are fun and easy to rally around, championships are what matter and the "pieces we've brought in" haven't been up to the task.

Total knee jerk reaction but ... I know Free Agency hasn't truly started and that you don't win a Grey Cup in February. I know it's still early and that the braintrust has their plan. It just feels like the market is saying "Anywhere but Winnipeg .." Ooof. Hard to look at the pieces we are losing and losing out on then reflect on the guys we've had in camp the last while (and how we've used / evaluated those players) and feel good about the coming season.

That's a damn shame. I loved Wolitarsky as a player and always felt he was misused in our offense over the years. Thank you for your years in Blue and Gold!

If I'm being honest .. I'd say, no ... we don't. We may have a few pieces but, overall, we lack physicality and presence on both sides of the ball.

He's as much a lock as anyone can be. While with the Blue and Gold he's been a CFL all-star 6 times, 4 time most outstanding lineman, 2 time Grey Cup winner and has been an anchor on our offensive line for (now) 10 seasons.

Ford is erratic at best and I wouldn't trust him to hit the broad side of a barn with any regularity let alone be willing to hand him the keys to what has been a model franchise the last half decade.

Lapo is a student of the game and while I think Lapo’s system is stale (and him too conservative overall) he IS an upgrade over Buck.

And yet, it wasn’t until Lucky turned it over that game got away from us. If we played complimentary football in any way all those perceived weaknesses are just a blip. It wasn’t the middle of the defense that got us beat us tonight, it was (essentially) two pick sixes and a fumble on special teams. Younger’s unit, for the most part, played well.

Despite the score, this is on one side of the ball.

They hadn’t matched up well with Toronto all season. Both games their D soundly outplayed our offense. This is on Buck and on the personnel side of things.

When the ball is live, when is it EVER a good idea to put your hands on a players back. Wilson dives at the ball. No penalty. Wilson taps him down. No penalty. Wilson could do NOTHING and the ball is recovered and we take over. No penalty. Wilson chooses to give the guy a shove. It’s a penalty.

Still .. don’t hit him in the back. How hard is that to understand? Take off the blue coloured glasses .. it was the right call.

He didn’t have to touch him. Let it play out. Touch him down. It was third down. We get the ball.

Wilson just has to keep his hands off the players back and we get the ball. It’s a bone headed mistake that cost us possession.

Dynasty or disappointment? As it stands now .. disappointment. We’re being beaten by ourselves (and Nick Arbuckle FFS).
