It's one of the things that made Marvin Coleman great back in the day. He was never going to be a dynamic returner in the mold of Janarion Grant but he was SUPER dependable and never lost you field position.

A couple of quick thoughts about tonight's game: Offensively and defensively the big boys need to do their job. Ottawa has a load in the interior of their defensive line, can our hogs hold up? Defensively, we need more pressure. Brown will extend plays with his legs but he's no real threat to run. Hit him. Hurry him. Get hands in his face and don't let him see the field. While I love the "go for the throat" instinct, Zach needs to be patient and not force the big play. The killshot is great but so is staying on the field and playing complementary football. Some sustained drives and not settling for 3 will be essential. Let's not rely on our special teams tonight - please? Ford needs to shake off last week and show some of what made him so intriguing when he was here last. Called it out last week and will call it out again - chemistry and communication in the secondary is still a question and it needs to improve. Will Augustine show he's more than a one trick pony? Great speed, works hard on teams and can make a defence pay but can he be a reliable target when he needs to? Can he pick up the rush and help keep Zach clean? Is he capable of getting those gritty yards to salt away a game? I think Drew Wolitarsky may have a big game. Is this the week I'm pleasantly surprised by what Mitchell brings to the team? Not counting on it.

He would be .. if he could only get out of his own way and allow the teams he's coached to keep firing bullets.

I was one of the biggest Neuf haters early on in his career here (health) but he's been a pretty steady part of that line for a long while and can play multiple positions in a pinch. Hell, at this point, I'd kick him outside as he's an upgrade over Lofton. As long as the center of our offensive line continues to routinely struggle, Zach and the offense will struggle.

The one spend that I wish Kyle would have made was to re-sign Desjarlais when he came back from the NFL (I know the decision came down to more than just money). Imagine a line right now of: Bryant Desjarlais Eli Dobson (insert right tackle here) That would be all sorts of nasty.

Brady is on a rookie deal? To me, making running back as big a part of your cap picture as we have, isn't the best use of resources. While I love Brady, I wasn't going to be too disappointed if another team overpaid for him because I think we could have better used that money elsewhere.
