  1. Running Backs need to hit the hole hard .. I get being patient but both guys are too hesitant at times.
  2. It’s only a statement if they close it out, otherwise it’s simply noise. Play all four quarters.
  3. It was far enough away from the return that there’s a pretty good chance Grant scores.
  4. BC’s offence has been two big plays. We eliminate those bang plays and this isn’t close. Second half need to make Rourke uncomfortable.
  5. At least we put points on the board to end the quarter.
  6. Taylor just had no clue where that ball was.
  7. Hate the way this second quarter has been played. Poor execution and penalties. Need to clean it up.
  8. Rose got on his horse .. have to give him that. Can’t give ANY QB that much time in the pocket and expect coverage to hold up.
  9. He’s still looking for the step he’s lost.
  10. That’s horseshit but not surprising
  11. Let’s just keep the hammer down … All. Game. Long.
  12. I watched that play on Robertson a number of times and I’m not entirely convinced that he hadn’t injured his foot / ankle before the Ottawa player fell on him. It probably didn’t help any though. You’re right in saying that linemen do this all the time. Defender falls down while a QB is rolling out or scrambling and a guy will fall on him .. essentially eliminating him from the play.
  13. People were hemming and hawing over what’s wrong with the CFL, debating whether or not we need to make changes to the game .. to the ratio .. to adopt four downs .. in an effort to increase viewership and and appeal to newer / younger fans. What’s wrong with the CFL isn’t the game .. it’s the CFL’s complete lack of commitment to player safety. Nobody wants to see stars, dynamic playmakers blown up on completely unnecessary plays.
  14. I have NO idea what he was doing on that play. Obliviously as to where the ball was.
  15. He’s soft (mentally and physically).
  16. In terms of containing Rourke, it all starts with a disciplined pass rush which is supported by solid communication on the backend. Overall, as a defense, we've played well but I think this is where we've seen some growing pains so far this season; new faces, still establishing trust / chemistry with one another, trying to do too much as individuals. Rourke is making great plays but we simply can't give him easy outs. Can't have receivers running free. Make them earn every .. single .. yard. That team hasn't faced adversity yet, so let's punch them in the mouth and see what happens.
  17. It might not be popular opinion but it's not as cut and dry as many might think (hell even I was pissed right off by the call last night). To me, it absolutely looks like Houston has possession of the ball and is down when his hip / butt hit the turf but the thing is, he has to survive contact. As he's going down, the ball is pulled / pops free and he no longer has control. It absolutely looks like the nose of the ball is on the ground between Bank's legs and I think that if they ruled it an incomplete pass, it would have held up to review but I'm not certain it's definitive. At best this is an incomplete pass and at worst .. well .. we saw the result of that last night.
  18. Can we ditch the screens?
  19. That’s complete horseshit
  20. The tales of Rose’s demise have been greatly exaggerated.
  21. Well .. this should make for an interesting night.
  22. Montreal isn’t going to be an easy out this year, especially with Harris at QB. Wishing Mike Jones was still part of this team. An underated part of our secondary. Good god is the Rider offensive line … offensive. They are terrible and in trouble if they can’t figure out their protection.
