Guess I'm more referring to the lower bowl which can be a bit of a gong show. We sit just behind the Bomber bench in 130 and getting out was awful.

Lots more folks than usual hanging out in the concourse in the North End and then making their way to the South after the game. It was a gong show trying to get out. If there’s anything wrong with the stadium it’s that it doesn’t empty well. I REALLY wish they’d have built exits on the east / west sides of the building which are only used end of game.

I guess we can finally put it to bed - Strevy is banged up.

When? He’s always been the very model of a guy who should have been pushed to keep his roster spot. Haba makes the occasional play but, for the most part, he’s just there.

Unless Neufeld returns to his 2023 form (where he was largely dependable) then I'm not entirely sure that him returning is a positive thing. I said it earlier in this thread: the tandem of Neufeld and Lofton were abysmal to start the year. It was only after Neufeld went down, and Randolph was inserted into the lineup, that things started to smooth out. I'll reserve judgement until I see him play but, to date, 2024 Neufeld has not looked good in any way shape or form.

I don't know if that's a good thing. Neufeld wasn't good to start the year and the combination of Neufeld and Lofton was absolutely horrible. Things actually settled down a fair bit AFTER Neufeld went out. My sincere hope is that Bryant returns, Randolph kicks back inside and Neuf is that 6th / 7th offensive lineman.

This. And you’ve alluded to some things which are / were similar between him and Buck. Both guys extended plays with their legs, got outside of the pocket and made things happen with their athleticism. Both guys were / are warriors. I think if Buck tapped into some of those things that made him successful (particularly in his earlier years in the league), he’d find a lot of success with Strev. Buck had better touch on the ball. He would let it rip and had better footwork and pocket presence (but was still only a career 64% passer with a 1.2:1 TD / INT ratio). He also had a **** tonne more opportunity and came up under Buono with better a better system and coaching. Streveler is the better pure athlete who has put quality passing reps on tape both here and in the NFL. The coaching and the game plans he’s been given have failed him. If I have any criticism of Strevy it’s that he needs to set his feet and be more patient. He’s such a physical presence and that instinct “to survive” kicks in and he looks to run and never really establishes a proper platform to throw from if something opens up downfield. He can evolve as a passer, it just comes down to reps .. something he’s really never had in abundance outside college.

We’re finally seeing some good QB play league wide .. you’d THINK they’d crack down on this BS hard. The league, as a whole, needs quality quarterbacking.

1. Zach. I’ve been really critical of his play this season (it’s been warranted) but through one half of play he put the team in a position to win. Without him performing for the first 30 minutes, we don’t get the W. 2. Sergio. The dude has been pretty spectacular this season and I’ll be shocked if he isn’t our nom for special teams player of the year (if only by default). 3. Tony Jones. Two great plays in the final minutes of the game (the tip as he’s dropping into his zone and the knockdown in the end zone). He’s been the low key great addition to the defence and he continues to get better. HH - Hallett. He gave up a couple plays while on D but he’s always been a very capable special teams guy and was able to capitalize on the muffed kick. Great job on ST getting us a much needed score. Random Thoughts: Saskatchewan did to Strev what I thought they’d do all game - eliminate Brady and force him to throw underneath. Zach had success because he was able to attack the seams. We ALLOWED him to attack the seams. I’m so disappointed in how they game plan when Streveler is in the game. From the opening whistle this season it has just felt like they have no real plan for him. They’ve never disguised their intent when he’s in the game, have never given him an opportunity to run the offence and Buck seems incapable of tailoring the passing game to his strengths. The irony of that, considering the QB Buck was, is insane. Back to back years Zach takes an unnecessary shot in Regina. Second time this year Zach takes a late hit which knocks him out. Why is it that we suffer both from an injury standpoint and when the CFL tries to “reinforce protecting the QB?” (ie. get flagged for really marginal calls) I think the approach vs Harris last night was wrong. I get what Younger is trying to do pre-snap and dropping guys into coverage but if there was ever a game that screamed for attacking, pressure, knocking someone around and getting a guy off his spot it was last night. Maybe the Banjo Bowl? Our return game sucks. Blocking is a big issue and Grant made that unit look far better than what they are. Our cover team has been lights out this season. Ayers is such a physical presence continues to make plays game in game out. To the Winnipeg fan involved in the dust up during the game - you’re an idiot. I don’t know what precipitated the fight, I don’t care that you were pushed .. what makes you think it’s going to end well if you throw a punch? You’re in another teams stadium, surrounded by their fans and get aggressive? All you accomplished was getting another Bomber fan (who was trying to break things up) worn out.
