It's not a stretch to say that one wouldn't affect the other, now would it? Wouldn't affect play design as much as the order of the reads and the decisions of the QB pre-snap. You're still talking theory about play design.I want to know if anyone saw shorter, same depth route runs, as in what actually was run during the games, not how it theoretically should be. You saw all kind of routes when Willy was playing, but less so after he was out. Based on 10 games I would assume. Did anybody else notice route running? The answer to your question is yes, there were instances (multiple instances) where receivers were running routes to the same depth .. where receivers were in the same vicinity .. where there was nobody to drive a defender off to clear up the underneath route. Whether that's the play design or the receivers running poor routes .. I'll leave that to others to speculate on .. it did occur. I'm not the only one who noticed this.

Bombers Under Investigation for 50-50 Fiasco

The former prize wasn't unclaimed .. if I remember correctly, the original winner wasn't eligible to participate in the draw .. therefore the pot was carried over. -
I don't think I would suggest that yet. There's little proof in his capabilities so far that I would suggest he's ready to lead a team, or even think that he'd be successful with a different team in an OC role. It's the same appeal that O'Shea had when he was being considered for a HC position .. hot new commodity .. largely unproven but CFL people are excited about his prospects.

Again, this is where I will re-iterate my disgust for the fact that Sinopoli won MoC over Westerman. Guy isn't even an all star at his position but hey .. let's give him a participation ribbon because of the REDBLACKS stellar season.

Vice President of Player Personnel if I remember correctly ..

Chris Jones to Saskatchewan Roughriders confirmed
voodoochylde replied to blueandgoldguy's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
There was an interesting article (don't know if anyone has linked it here) that talked about the need to implement an "administrative cap" .. thought it was on point. I'll see if I can dig it up .. edit: here it is - http://3downnation.com/2015/12/08/its-time-again-for-a-cfl-spending-cap-it-saved-the-riders-once/ -
And yet he had the second highest scoring offence in the CFL while in Saskatchewan .. also helped Durant to a Western all star nod in his rookie year. Not endorsing the hire, just refuting a point.

Hopefully Chung sticks around .. we only have him locked up through 2016 IIRC ..

Not a fan of the desktop experience to be honest .. more suited to mobile.

Cortez among OC's on Bomber wish list

With Jones apparently leaving Edmonton for the Riders .. what are the chances LaPolice gets the head gig in Edmonton .. especially in light of the fact that there is a decided lack of head coaching talent in the league.. -

That's what I was thinking as well .. though I have to admit .. I'm woefully ignorant when it comes to the rules governing assistants in the CFL. -

It's pretty sad that one of their peers is "calling them out" on their lack of interest in the goings on at IGF .. -
Casey Creehan. Great position coach .. lackluster results as a DC ..

That's the one thing I really noticed as well .. how good IGF looked on TV last night .. really impressive actually.

RedBlacks Logger Chain Saw Team Banned
voodoochylde replied to iso_55's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Saw this story as well .. not sure what prompted the CFL to reverse their initial decision to allow them to "perform" at the game. -
I guess one could say .. only 50k in attendance in one of the most desirable locations in Canada at this time of year .. only 50k when they are drawing from almost 2.5 million people a population that's 4x that of Winnipeg .. but one wouldn't do that because there are infinitely better / more important things to ***** about. Winnipeg sold out its Grey Cup. By all accounts the festival and events have been a success and positively received. We're going to have decent weather for what should be a great game .. in front of a packed house. Are we. going to ***** about HOW we got there or simply enjoy the spectacle? I know what one I'll be doing.

As "real" a Canadian as Ben Cahoon ever was .. I think it's been said .. Offensive Player over the Defensive Player .. and the RedBlacks are the story this year .. the fact that a guy wouldn't recognize Sinopoli as an all-star but found him worthy enough to be the Most Outstanding Canadian over a guy who was both an all-star and a league pacing impact player (regardless of passport) speaks volumes about the people voting. As far as I'm concerned, Westerman got ******* robbed.

And Westerman didn't win ...

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are being sued for $50,000 over the cancellation of a Grey Cup contract. Local 63 of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees claims that earlier this month it was awarded a contract by the Canadian Football League to work the Grey Cup half-time show earlier this month. Two days later, the Bombers and CEO Wade Miller interfered in the process and convinced the CFL to rescind the contract and award it to another company, according to the lawsuit, filed Tuesday at the Court of Queen's Bench. "They gave us a contract saying that we were going to be providing the labour. So obviously we had to take steps to be able to get people the numbers that they required available. Then all of a sudden they pulled the rug out under our feet," said Barny Haines, who represents the IATSE workers. "So we have no recourse, other than to sue them." The lawsuit also names as defendants the CFL, Triple B Stadium Inc. (the consortium that owns Investors Group Field), Wade Miller and a number of individuals. Matt Maychak, vice-president of communications for the CFL, said the league had no comment on matters that are before the courts.

East Division Final - Ottawa over Hamilton

Their coaches were under contract from the inception of the organization .. and .. it's not like that ownership group .. that franchise .. has the same checkered history that the WBB Football Club has earned over the last 15-16 years .. Not exactly an 'apples to apples' comparison. -
Signed to the Ravens practice squad.

Hindsight is always 20/20 .. I think that given his previous track record .. a lot of the skepticism was well founded .. and it remains to be seen how sustainable the success they've realized this year will be. That said, he deserves all the credit in the world for piecing together the team he did for the run they've made .. it's the right team .. at the right time .. realizing a great measure of success. Good for them. -

Good for Hunt ... Saints signed OLB Phillip Hunt. Hunt made his name by leading the CFL in sacks in 2010, but he has just four sacks in 24 career games in the NFL. One of those takedowns came in Week 1 of this season with the Lions, but Hunt was released the next week. He should be nothing but a depth signing even on New Orleans' struggling defense. -
