A lot of the success in the running game had to do with backs making something out of nothing. At the half, Nichols almost had more yards rushing than both Walker and Marshall combined.

Because they proved it with success on the field. Hoping these lead bars will turn to gold is truly insane That success didn't come overnight. It was built on a foundation that was years in the making.

In the end, it won't come down to money. I have every belief that Walters will match any offer .. it's going to be about where Henoc feels he has the best opportunity for success personally and professionally.

Yeah, I don't get it... basically Willie sits because Longo is in - going with JFG and Kohlert again... Starting Shell at Safety instead of Sherman or Jones seems strange to me as well Longo slides in relatively cleanly, just needed a roster spot, no ratio issue. Just means that both of the scratches to get to 44 will be imports, likely Kearney and Johnson. Veltung is knocking Willie off. Sherman can't cover well enough to take a regular spot in the secondary, Jones is a corner, not a safety. If anything I'd use Simmons at safety a bit. Shell has lost many steps. Leggett is a cornerback too, what's your point. Sherman and Jones are probably the fastest guys on our roster... I'll take a safety with closing speed over Lin-J Shell - if anything he should backup at SAM Veltung and Johnson probably sit... still drives me nuts that Rempel, Cronk AND Pontbriand take up spots on this roster Liking this because it's always struck me as odd seeing 3 FBs rostered on game day ..

I think you're right. I just saw highlights of last night, gronk and brady made the steelers look useless. Glad Wild wasn't on the field for that. Disagree about the Vikings… Bridgewater was under-rated, now, he's overrated. They just lost their centre, their O line is dicey. Offensive coach hasn't won anything since the nineties. The Colts …. what have they done since last season to get better? Luck throws too many Int for them to win. sneaky team…. the Saints. Maybe the forty-niners will be better than expected. Still have a good quarterback, who came within an inch of Super Bowl win. I might follow the Bills, you know the defence will be good, and Rex is entertaining. The inability for the Steelers defense to even line up properly made them look useless .. I mean how do you NOT cover Gronkowski in the red zone. But as long as Gronk's healthy, that duo is going to be tough to beat.

They're pretty ugly right now. Should the Bombers lose on Sunday Saturday, we will see anger on a scale we have not seen since the Kelly era. Fixed that for you.

I'd settle for not feeling like I'd been kicked in the nuts week in week out .. it's hard enough to win games with our "stable" of available quarterbacks but we definitely can't give points away in what should be nothing more than a change of possession.

I remember one block and one partial. Which games were the TDs off blocks? (BTW there is no need to be snarky. I made a mistake. As much as I want to see MB replaced, we really have no viable replacement in house to take on his responsibilities. Everyone pisses and moans about hiring an "inexperienced" GM and HC .. but who is there on our staff with ANY experience running or designing an offense? Howell? Buck? These guys are position coaches and while one of them could potentially make that leap .. anything they implement at this point of the season will simply be an extension of what MB already has in place. You elevate either of those guys to OC now, it won't make a lick of difference and you'll have the same people bitching about newbies.

Walters has done quite well winning auctions for Bryant, Westerman and Waggoner hopefully his luck continues with Henoc and or Wild. Walters had done quite poorly losing auctions for Collaros, Burris, Lemon, and SVR. Just saying...it's not like he's got the magic touch or something. He loses as many auctions as he wins. We NEED this one. An addition like Henoc would invigorate our organization right now. It's a watershed moment for Walters. I would argue that "losing" the Burris auction is actually a win for us. As an organization, I wouldn't want that albatross tied around my neck. We also landed the best left tackle available on the market in Stanley Bryant .. we were going after one of him or Rogers. Frankly, this team has demostrated they are willing to spend to bring in free agents .. it's not for a lack of effort on our part. There are other intangibles at play which may make Winnipeg a less than desirable destination for some players.
