  1. Geesus. If I could produce *ANY* sort of documentation about purchase during that time I could easily get more than the basic amount .. Computer .. yep. Printer .. yep. Memory module .. yep. Graphics card .. yep. DVD Player .. yep. Gaming Console .. yep. MP3 Player .. yep (had a Rio Diamond). I know for a fact that I've made those purchases during that time frame .. no way to prove it though .. doh!
  2. Lamar and Bass both have prototypical CFL MLB size... so that's start... What's really exciting about Bass is that he appears to have grown three inches since his pro-day. http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=90582&draftyear=2013&genpos=ILB I think both Joe Lobendahn and Ryland Wickman clocked in around 5’10 / 5’11 .. both were effective for us in the middle ..
  3. Will never understand why they didn't do more, early in the season, to make an effort to improve the running game .. best friend of a young quarterback is a solid running game .. takes pressure off of him and keeps him from taking unnecessary shots.
  4. at it's best it was pretty ******* epic, but that was a long time ago and a lot of those posters don't do the message board thing anymore. Back when men were men, dames were broads, and you could tell a moron that he was a moron without fear of repercussion. And pour me a scotch damnit!
  5. Yes because the bonus money pool for undrafted FAs in the NFL is about $80,000. Thanks for that. By contrast, Brett Jones, who signed with the NYG received no signing bonus and despite the three year deal has no guaranteed money in his contract. But you can't turn your nose up at the $435k he's scheduled to make (at least in comparison to what he'd earn in the CFL).
  6. So happy about the limited # of Thursday games ..
  7. Huge. Two late season games against Ottawa? Yes please. Depending on how (dys)functional Ottawa is this year .. those two, potentially standing padding games at the end of the season are a gift ..
  8. Yes .. he's a NI .. drafted under Mack I believe.
  9. Personally I'm hoping for Curran.
  10. Congratulations to Ian Wild. A great guy who deserves this shot.
  11. Still classic rock. And country sucks ...
  12. Doug Brown tweeted that Watson asked to be traded so the cost/benefit may not have been the main reason he's gone (I'm sure it played a part in it though). Probably didn't ask to be traded .. rather .. he was likely told he was being shopped and asked his preference .. Watson indicated that he'd want to go back East ..
  13. We also got the rights to a neg list player as well .. curious to see if anything comes of that ..
  14. Sustainability and cap management.
  15. I see 2, 11, 15, 20, 29, 38, and 46. Traded 35 (which we acquired from Sask in the Neufeld trade) to Hamilton for Brohm. Traded 55 to the Argos for Portis. We just traded 26 and I have no idea where we got it. Thanks. Had a brain fart going into the second round (9 instead of 11), chalk it up to a lack of caffiene. 4 picks in the first three rounds .. that's gold .. especially in this draft.
  16. So right now .. we have picks at 2, 9, 15 .. ? I know we traded conditional picks for Portis and Brohm .. can anyone enlighten me as to the rest of our picks for this year?
  17. I read this on twitter this morning too... this one blew my mind.... Getzlaf is good, yes... but that is a ludicrous amount of money to spend on a 3rd rec... Well .. let's be honest here .. cap management has never been Taman's strong point .. can't see how this is going to help that perception .. Insane amount of money for Getzlaf.
  18. Loved Cory Watson when he was on the field .. epitomized the way this game should be played .. best of luck to Cory going forward. That said .. I think we made out like bandits in this trade.
  19. Pittsburgh or Tampa Bay. Thought Minnesota was giving him a look ..
  20. I think Belichek was fined 500K for the "spygate" thing .. this time it's going to cost the organization draft picks ..
  21. We interrupt your childish ongoing pot shots at the Riders for this public service announcement: The Riders at least won the grey cup in 2013 unlike the Cats who have lost 2 in a row. Are you going for a three peat this year? You're aware of which forum you're on, correct? Shots at the Riders are encouraged, expected and welcomed. In fact, that's in the disclaimer when you register for an account here! /innocent look
  22. Three phases to a football game: offense, defense and special teams. If, as a team, you've given up a TD in overtime it means you've ceded the entire length of the field. You want a chance to win? Go play defense and get the ball back. Hell, hold the other team to a field goal and get the ball back. Don't expect a shot if you completely **** the bed at the most inopportune time. The Packers had a chance to get off the field. They had Seattle 3rd and 7 .. a favourable down and distance .. and a situation where GB had been dictating play most of the afternoon. Instead they gave up back to back 35 yard bombs for a score. The rule is fine as it is.
  23. TRADE HIM! Seriously if we can get the Evan Gill rights from the Ticats for him. I will do that. Pruneau for Watson? Seriously though .. I'm a huge fan of Cory Watson .. love this play style .. it's just a shame that injuries are starting to become more and more prevelant .. but that's the thing with soft tissue injuries ..
  24. Some Shamari Benton highlights ..
  25. Agree. It's like taking one step backward for every step forward .. the idea is to build on and improve the base that's already there .. I'm not a DeJardins fan by any stretch but for the health of the league I want that Ottawa team to see success and I don't see this as helping the situation any.
