  1. What part of his resume has impressed you? The part where he curbed padded practices (ironically, in the name of player safety) even though not one party involved was incredibly for it because it lowers their ability to practice effectively? The part where he has instructed teams to not pay offseason bonuses to players, which is an incredibly heavy handed bargaining tactic that serves no real purpose other than to agitate players? The part where he’s had an inconsistent handling of players with criminal charges, to the point that he had to “personally approve” the contract of a guy who was never found guilty of anything, while they let Euclid Cummings play for a year without having a hot clue he had been charged with a crime? The part where he’s literally changed rules mid-season in what can only be described as a true effort to make our league look bush league? The part where the only thing he’s done to address player safety is reiterate the same statements he made the first time the issue came up a year ago? Or maybe it’s the part where the best efforts he’s made to grow a market in his tenure here is to ignore the three struggling markets that are essentially to the stability of our league and instead choose to focus on a partnership with a Mexican league that has been in existence for three years, and let’s keep in mind this is in the face of two upstart American leagues that are becoming a serious threat to poach significant talent from our league in the short-term, but hey, don’t worry I guess, the brand new “designated Mexican” position will save our talent pool. Ambrosie has been catastrophic.
  2. This idea of adding a “designated Mexican” sounds like far and away the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard of this league doing in my lifetime. Ambrosie has been an awful commissioner. His ideas are ridiculous and this whole Mexico nonsense sounds like a horribly thought out way for him to expense his annual resort vacation and nothing more. Imagine trying to explain this to somebody new to the league if and when it goes through. ”Okay, so the CFL has a few different rules ... for one, since it’s the Canadian Football League, teams are required to have a set amount of Canadians on the roster ... also, every team must dress one Mexican” “Mexican? Why?” ”............”
  3. Bryant Mitchell would be my number 1 free agency target if he’s out there
  4. An upgrade from Dressler to a dominant receiver that pushes Darvin to #2 on our depth chart. A replacement for Chris Randle A more steady, solid third import receiver (but this should ideally be a new recruit, to be honest) A safety, since I’m going to assume Loffler leaves town
  5. Even when Nichols completed a pass today, it forced the receiver to hit the dirt and made it impossible for them to make a play. He was absolutely terrible.
  6. Honestly, learn to handle having these conversations without the insults. Period.
  7. What straight up drops have we had today? The only one I can think of would’ve resulted in a loss of yards. Are you serious?
  8. Canada Day 2017, saw it live with my fiancee and my best friends. Amazing experience.
  9. I don't come around here very much anymore but I'm just wondering - are you always this annoying? If yes, why?
  10. I honestly don't think there's much that Saskatchewan could offer Walters that he'd be interested in. What do we need more than stability at the backup QB spot? Even an offer like Willie Jefferson + a first-rounder, even as an overpay that they would never come up with, is not an offer I would take.
  11. I can’t see Reilly going to Saskatchewan ... the Jones connection is there but still, seems like he would want to be closer to home, not further, if he’s going to make a move.
  12. Brandon Bridge needs to swallow his pride and realize if he wants to be a pro football player, it's not going to be as a QB. He would be a great fit at receiver.
  13. Man ... it's the morning after and I honestly woke up feeling the same way I did last night. I got home from work at about 9 PM after going stealth mode all day and not spoiling the results, and I watched the game on the PVR ... and honestly, I'm SO happy we beat the Riders and I'm so happy they have so many things to whine about all offseason in regards to how they could've, should've and would've. No Collaros, questionable Bridge hit, blah blah blah who cares, I absolutely love to see that fanbase get whooped in the playoffs and have zero answer. All week long I had to listen to them throw out every ridiculous thought about "mind games" and how "they didn't even need a QB" and how we couldn't and wouldn't handle their world class defence. Forget about it. Our team dominated that game, score be damned (don't even get me started on the weak ass play calling inside the 35) and we did it in their stadium and ruined their first ever playoff game just like we ruined their first ever regular season game. Good. Riders suck. Have fun whining the rest of the offseason away.
  14. Pretty simple answer to this one .. do you think Riders wish they had their challenge when Bridge got hit? We could’ve been in that same situation. I don’t see the need to blow the challenge on a call they’re clearly not going to reverse.
  15. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA they deserve this so bad
  16. Super duper secret.
  17. In a move that will probably surprise nobody, Poopmane is going to join the Riders.
  18. He's an end not a tackle.
  19. Poop asked to go home, since he could make more money there. Understandable.
  20. I think you have to aim for skill players in this draft and I think you need to look towards the idea of making a move on a future guy (a la Geoff Gray) with one of those firsts. This draft, from what I've heard, is pretty loaded. I'd look to take a linebacker or d-lineman, and a receiver. Maybe a safety if there is one, since I think Loffler may be a question mark going forward for us. Then again, I'd love to see us transition to an American safety if he leaves. Dejon Brissett seems like the kind of guy O'Shea and Walters would be all over ... can play all over the field, on offence and special teams, honour roll student at Richmond ... big bodied receiver. Maybe you grab a guy like that or Oliviera with the BC pick and aim for a guy like Kongbo with our pick later on.
  21. He's caught every ball that has been thrown his way, according to CFL.ca He's been a very key contributor in other packages, including our punt cover team Not really sure what more you could ask of a receiver. And before you play the "Peterman has jumped him on the depth chart" card, they don't play the same spot. Simonise plays WR and right now, we have two starting WRs that have yet to miss a game this year.
  22. I think Oliviera is a heck of a talent, but let's be realistic, he's not even close to a NFL caliber back.
  23. Just out of curiosity, what is your opinion of Simonise based on? Seems pretty wild to be that down on a guy who comes with the background he has, especially as a Canadian.
