I don't mind Bridge. Definitely learning but I like his tools. Still think he's be best served moving to receiver but his heart is in playing QB. Played well last night. I don't know if I'd want him over LeFevour this year but ... only because he's got less experience and DLF is *safer*

You want to joke around, fine. Don't do it with domestic violence. Use your head. Stop. -
Lapo is a great play caller, however with the caveat that he overthinks himself at times where keeping it simple would suffice. The first drive against Edmonton would be the best example.

CFL No Contact Practices Good Or Bad For League?
Mike replied to USABomberfan's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
No offense, but I think any fan (not just you) who thinks they know better about this than players. former players and our commissioner ... have a mistakenly high opinion of themselves. If the players like this, I'm all for it. -
As of right now - very little interest in Thorpe and I would bet Claybrooks gets an offer to HC before Lapolice. Lapolice is showing the whole CFL the same things he is showing us - same things that don't make him a good bet to be a good HC. He designed a great offense but still plenty of issues with game management and play calling.

Nevis is only under contract this year anyways. He'd be an easy bet for a guy we could shed the salary of next year by not bringing him back. Going to be necessary now, since we need to sign Westerman and Dressler hypothetically ... Westerman, especially. Among others. I feel like Flanders, Bond, Hardrick, Chungh and Heath will all need new deals too. -

Getting injured was about the best thing he did for us all year. One sack in 5 games is not good. At all. That's not good for somebody like Shayon Green, nevermind a guy we're paying 140k a year to. PS - as for Okpalaugo's QB pressures, you can't really see how many he has because CFL has awful statistics but what you can see is that he couldn't possibly have more than 3 otherwise he'd be on the published list of leaders that CFL puts out. So that puts him at 1 sack and no more than 3 pressures in 5 games, which prorates out over a full season to less than what Jeffcoat has already in half a season. -

How has he not? He's been a fairly big disappointment, IMO. -

Mulumba is the signing that would easily have the most impact. Sign Mulumba, cut Okpalaugo, dress Poop+Nevis, problem solved. -
Yup.

Our DL hasn't had a sack since Poop went out.

I agree - I absolutely hate how we deploy our ratio, mainly with Lankford and Okpalaugo, but it's prevalent throughout the roster. What really baffled me last week was when Knox went down and Santos-Knox stayed on the sidelines while Briggs went down. If a guy isn't good enough to replace a player instead of Jesse Briggs, what's he doing on the roster? And moreso, what's he doing starting this week? Now, I don't look at it that way, I think Santos-Knox is going to prove very capable but what's the logic by the staff on that one? To me, our DI in a perfect world would be Medlock, Poop, Fogg, Flanders and a LB - Thorpe wouldn't need to DI because he'd be starting as Lankford would be out entirely. 5 obviously because Jake Thomas starts on their chart, giving us 8. I'm really hoping we can close a deal with Mulumba, that should get Okpalaugo off the roster for good.

Mulumba has nothing to do with the MLB spot, he's a rush end. -
I fully expect Glenn to throw for 350+, our D is just way too soft. That being said, they're looser with the ball than we are and if we can capitalize off a mistake and not hand them any free points, Glenn's stats won't matter.

First Central Scouting Bureau Rankings

Julien Laurent will be top 3 by the time this is all said and done. I like Lenius too. -
Unfortunately, the reality is this comment doesn't seem to carry as much weight when it's coming from somebody who has been just as guilty of initiating arguments. I've watched you harass Ripper over one opinion of his for what seems like days now and as an uninvested reader, it's just annoying to keep reading. I didn't like Ripper's attitude of trolling either. Didn't think it crossed the line as something I could moderate, so I didn't but I didn't go out of my way to bother him (and by association, people trying to read threads) about it endlessly. My main thing is this: some folks here are incredibly quick to criticize Riderfans.com for the way they treat opposing fans. And I agree. Some of them are ignorant to all but the team some people cheer for. But look in the mirror. We're doing it too.

If I was Walters, I'd be really looking to sign Mulumba, cut Okpalaugo and make way for Poop to get back on the roster. Okpalaugo over Poop at this point seems like such a mistake. -
Lankford sucks and IMO, he should be the one coming out. He's not a very good kick returner, he's just behind a very good coverage team. He's miserable as a receiver to the point where I'd honestly rather have Coates/Feoli both in. And let's not act like our staff doesn't make personnel mistakes. They benched another young outstanding rookie last year for a veteran and look how well that worked for them - another one they better not replicate this week.

Personally I wish that the nice Rider fans were treated with a little more respect, because it makes it tough to roll my eyes at the people at RF who do it to me when everyone here is doing it to. i'm all for rivalry and pointing out when Rider fans are being douchy, but at the same time ... some aren't so bad. looking forward to leaving to go watch the game Saturday!

I had it closer than the judges did, but it was pretty obvious the fight went (including the first 3, maybe 4 rounds that I had for McGregor) just about how Mayweather wanted it to. No losers anywhere though, great fight, great event, great result for both men.

Not even remotely comparable. Far, far, FAR worse. -
Didn't Winnipeg and Montreal both have a successful 2 point conversion in the last game?

I really hope our commissioner is smart enough to not allow this to happen.
