  1. I wonder if it's DiAndre Campbell ... we released him after rookie camp, when I thought he looked pretty decent and I wondered if it was injury related ... he wore #19 in college/NFL ... he'd be about the right size
  2. I'd be surprised, but I suppose it's possible.
  3. I mean, I'm not sure how you don't work to get that information. Our media just doesn't care, I guess.
  4. Noticed that too. Easily a free bet on either side.
  5. Looks like in addition to Blaszko, we added another (unnamed) receiver today as there was a #19 working with the offense. Looks like he's close in height to Blaszko, so 6'3"/6'4"ish.
  6. That would worry me, except ... it's nothing new and we don't play for 11 days. Heal up.
  7. Sorry, worth noting that it's just a guess. Looks tall enough to be him for sure though.
  8. It's Blaszko, I'm guessing? Or did a junior guy stick around?
  9. not enough room for him I suppose
  10. Hearing a few whispers we may be signing Canadian receiver Brett Blaszko, which I'd be all for. EDIT: Penton seems to be hinting at it too.
  11. Wait, they're planning on starting Coleman and Dyakowski? Oh lord.
  12. The other thing is regarding their offense: they have an incredibly talented group of receivers but unless McAdoo all of a sudden wakes up and realizes he needs to run the football as well AND they all of a sudden have a threat at that position ... you're not going to see them being effective.
  13. Their defensive backs are Ed Gainey, Jeff Hecht, Tevaughn Campbell, Mike Dubuisson, Erick Dargan, Mike Edem, Chris Lyles, Kacy Rodgers and Sam Williams. That's nine guys, with a grand total of zero that would crack our roster. Between Lyles, Dargan and Williams, maybe there's an unknown commodity in there that can impress but really - that's not going to do much for them in the first few weeks of the year. That alone is going to sink them, especially when they can't generate pressure up the middle because they struck out on finding an impact DT and are likely looking at starting some combination of Mrabure, Gaydosh, Minter and Steele in the middle. Good luck.
  14. Just basing that off who's on the roster right now. We literally don't have another Canadian on there at this moment.
  15. Not a big John Hodge guy, for most of the reasons already mentioned. Tries very much too hard and he's overly critical about the most minute of details, which irritates me because he's also not very up on the more minute details of the CFL. Nothing bugs me more than when a blogger portrays themselves as an expert and then passes along inaccurate or vague information. Blurbs like this ... ... are just irresponsible to put in an article, considering there's literally no risk at all and anyone who understands the league at a level they should require to be writing about it would understand that. ... this kind of thing also bothers me, because there's nothing players dislike more than when people speculate about their well-being and again, if you're going to be a "writer", you should know this. It's also just stupid to gauge a player's well-being based on the "severity" of a limp immediately after an injury. ... and for the most part, I find he just doesn't really know what he's talking about.
  16. That would make sense too, I'd be okay with that. I'm a big Flanders fan, but he's a luxury at this point more than likely.
  17. I mean, I don't really mind Nichols' deep ball. He doesn't sling it much, but when he does, it's pretty bang on. Thing is, we've built a group of receivers where we don't need to do that a whole lot.
  18. I'm going to pick ... Jeremiah Johnson
  19. All that would do is make Poop the other DI. There still isn't really a spot that I see for Knox, unless he's playing in favor of one of: Flanders, Fogg, Carmichael or Jeffcoat I just don't see his role, to be honest.
  20. In this scenario, I'm operating under the assumption that Mo Leggett isn't going to play for us in our first game. QB - Nichols, Davis, LeFevour RB - Harris, Flanders, Normand, Rush, Miller REC - Adams, Dressler, Denmark, Lankford, Feoli-Gudino, Coates OL - Bryant, Bond, Goossen, Chungh, Hardrick, Neufeld, Couture DE - Westerman, Okpalaugo, Jeffcoat, Corney DT - Nevis, Johnson, Thomas, Ekakitie LB - Wild, Hurl, Carmichael, Miles, Briggs, Gauthier DB - Alexander, Randle, Heath, Johnson, Fogg S - Loffler, Jones K - Medlock LS - Rempel Not sure that at this point in time, that makes total sense for us. Fogg, Medlock, Jeffcoat and Flanders as designated imports sounds great, but I'm not thrilled with Lankford starting. I see him in the lineup somehow though, so I don't think they DI him and start Washington - although I am optimistic that it's a possibility, since O'Shea singled Washington out as a guy who made Stafford expendable yesterday. If I had it my way ... Washington replaces Lankford, who isn't even on the roster at all and they swap out Couture (2-man reserve) and put Yachison on the active roster. But if Leggett starts, where does Carmichael fit in? I still want him on the field, but you can't have Flanders, Carmichael, Fogg, Jeffcoat and Medlock all playing. Would Fogg sit? So many questions.
  21. I just don't see how we get both on the roster, unless we're not using a single DI on offense which would be a terrible idea in my opinion.
  22. What happens with Saskatchewan when they get hit with injuries? If we lose a Canadian to an injury, we're starting Patrick Neufeld or Mike Couture or Faith Ekakitie or Thomas Miles or Matt Coates. If they lose a Canadian to an injury, they're starting Makana Henry or Greg Morris or Tevaughn Campbell. There's a huge difference there. Add in the fact that there are injury concerns about ... well, nearly half their Canadian starters almost ... and they better hope they stay healthy.
  23. Drunk at 9 am?!
