Westerman Out For Season
Seems to me more and more like it's a health issue, not an injury.

Bombers Release Thorpe
If I was Dave, I would've mentioned how now that Thorpe is gone, I couldn't ever be proven wrong on the second. Lol But really, I love about 95% of what our front office and coaching staff does. The other 5% just so happens to be the roster management on game days. I feel like we don't get the most out of it.

Bombers Release Thorpe
To be fair, I've harped exclusively on two things and on one of them, I turned out to be entirely right.

Bombers Release Thorpe
It's a big deal to me because Thorpe wasn't just a one year schtick for us. He's a player we could've used for years to come, not just this year while we're winning.

Bombers Release Thorpe
I'm not negative about the management at all. I love our management. I just don't think they're perfect. No idea how I could be exhaustingly anything when I post like 5 times a month anyways.

Bombers Release Thorpe
You're like a condescending 2007 Spuds. It's tiresome.

Westerman Out For Season
I have to admit ... I'm a bit worried about this in the sense that this doesnt lend itself well to a scenario Osh can be realistic about. im expecting we'll see an internal fix, roster management we'll all disagree with and an "everyone is a starter" mantra from the coach

Westerman Out For Season
How, exactly?

Westerman Out For Season
Open up the vault for Mulumba at least for this year

Bombers vs Redblacks: Bomber Football Is Back Edition
Oh, I'm not concerned about it. Personally, I think we roll them by at least two scores. Our D is not a D that is going to allow us to win by 20+, Lindley or not, we'll let the final score be closer than it should be.

Bombers vs Redblacks: Bomber Football Is Back Edition
I don't see a scenario where it's anyone other than Lindley and while he doesn't intimidate my opinion on our chance to win, I hope we don't "take a W to the bank" ahead of time. Prepare as if he's the #1 because he is this week. We're at home, place should be rocking, let's get it done. Go Blue!

Ridirts @ Tabbies: Cellar Bowl
I don't mind Bridge. Definitely learning but I like his tools. Still think he's be best served moving to receiver but his heart is in playing QB. Played well last night. I don't know if I'd want him over LeFevour this year but ... only because he's got less experience and DLF is *safer*

You want to joke around, fine. Don't do it with domestic violence. Use your head. Stop.

What to do about the D?
Lapo is a great play caller, however with the caveat that he overthinks himself at times where keeping it simple would suffice. The first drive against Edmonton would be the best example.

CFL No Contact Practices Good Or Bad For League?
No offense, but I think any fan (not just you) who thinks they know better about this than players. former players and our commissioner ... have a mistakenly high opinion of themselves. If the players like this, I'm all for it.

Montreal Fires Chapdelaine and Thorpe
As of right now - very little interest in Thorpe and I would bet Claybrooks gets an offer to HC before Lapolice. Lapolice is showing the whole CFL the same things he is showing us - same things that don't make him a good bet to be a good HC. He designed a great offense but still plenty of issues with game management and play calling.

Nevis is only under contract this year anyways. He'd be an easy bet for a guy we could shed the salary of next year by not bringing him back. Going to be necessary now, since we need to sign Westerman and Dressler hypothetically ... Westerman, especially. Among others. I feel like Flanders, Bond, Hardrick, Chungh and Heath will all need new deals too.

Around the League - Regular Season Discussion (Redux)
Getting injured was about the best thing he did for us all year. One sack in 5 games is not good. At all. That's not good for somebody like Shayon Green, nevermind a guy we're paying 140k a year to. PS - as for Okpalaugo's QB pressures, you can't really see how many he has because CFL has awful statistics but what you can see is that he couldn't possibly have more than 3 otherwise he'd be on the published list of leaders that CFL puts out. So that puts him at 1 sack and no more than 3 pressures in 5 games, which prorates out over a full season to less than what Jeffcoat has already in half a season.

How has he not? He's been a fairly big disappointment, IMO.

Mulumba is the signing that would easily have the most impact. Sign Mulumba, cut Okpalaugo, dress Poop+Nevis, problem solved.

CFL to make announcement in Winnipeg
Yup.

What to do about the D?
Our DL hasn't had a sack since Poop went out.
-
What to do about the D?
I agree - I absolutely hate how we deploy our ratio, mainly with Lankford and Okpalaugo, but it's prevalent throughout the roster. What really baffled me last week was when Knox went down and Santos-Knox stayed on the sidelines while Briggs went down. If a guy isn't good enough to replace a player instead of Jesse Briggs, what's he doing on the roster? And moreso, what's he doing starting this week? Now, I don't look at it that way, I think Santos-Knox is going to prove very capable but what's the logic by the staff on that one? To me, our DI in a perfect world would be Medlock, Poop, Fogg, Flanders and a LB - Thorpe wouldn't need to DI because he'd be starting as Lankford would be out entirely. 5 obviously because Jake Thomas starts on their chart, giving us 8. I'm really hoping we can close a deal with Mulumba, that should get Okpalaugo off the roster for good.

Mulumba has nothing to do with the MLB spot, he's a rush end.
