  1. I don't disagree with what you're saying here, I just find it odd that this is something that you find "funny", seen as how you're more or less the exact same way, only you put a negative spin on everything.
  2. Well ... you're certainly not going to start Demski AND Bagg, seen as how you have Roosevelt, Carter, Holley, Edwards and Collins on the roster. They aren't going to sit two of those guys. Crapigna doesn't count towards your ratio. Gaydosh, well ... good luck. That leaves you with Best, Clark, Francis, St. John, Labatte, Muamba and Bagg. Overall, not bad. But what happens when one of Best/Labatte goes down? Which they will.
  3. We've seen how the "I swear he's not plan A" approach goes. (as an experienced veteran of it, let me tell you: it doesn't go well)
  4. Somewhat underwhelmed but on the bright side, if we were going to recycle DBs from two teams right now, BC and Winnipeg are at the top of the list (with Calgary, as well) for recruiting those spots. Lankford, however ... why bother is my immediate opinion.
  5. Me too, although I don't necessarily know if he's going to have a choice. You'd think with Bighill gone, it's a natural fit but I feel like at this point, if it was going to be an easy signing, it would be done.
  6. Lokombo over Greenwood, please.
  7. Personally, the game day thread works just fine for me. But I can see why those who enjoy the chat room would.
  8. Kluchk isn't Migs, just for the record.
  9. Jeez that 2013 Draft was bad. Sure would like to see the Bombers pursue Bo Lokombo in free agency though, that guy can ball. Could be a starter at LB for us. And a ratio breaker at that.
  10. You bench your most consistent forward all year for a lack of effort, while you let a guy like Drew Stafford hog premium minutes while he game in game out skates around in the defensive zone like he's doing his best Ray Charles impression. Maurice is a lost cause. He's a terrible coach. PS - Pavelec sucked last night.
  11. Well, it really depends (imo) on who we still sign of our own. Bass, Cummings, Burnett and Denmark are probably the only ones that we have a level of interest in. For me, at this point ... I'd be interested in some of the receivers out there, but that'd probably mean we have to cut Ryan Smith. The big one for me is the DT market. Between Cummings, Brooks, Laing, Johnson, Nevis and Hall ... there's going to be movement on that front and IMO, we NEED one of those guys.
  12. that makes sense now. The text I got said "good news drunk: Nichols is back!" and I thought my friend was telling me he was worried I have a drinking problem. Turns out he has a texting problem.
  13. Just heard Nichols signed.
  14. Big signing for the Bombers. If healthy, Adams is a 1500 yard receiver in this league.
  15. I think it's great. It's nice to see the NHL actually have some guys with personality.
  16. The silver lining is that Wylie did enough with these hoggies that they should be developed to the point where a new coach can more or less come in and be status quo. They should be able to manage themselves at this point, it's not a young group.
  17. Imagine the opening game at their brand new stadium and the last guy out of the tunnel during player introductions is ... AAAAAAAAAAAAND YOUR STARTING QUARTERBACK Jake Waters
  18. Drew Willy nets us a first overall pick and a divisional all-star defensive back Darian Durant nets Chris Jones two middle round picks, one of which is conditional ... hehe
  19. I've basically had it with Paul Maurice at this point. I always struggle with my hockey opinions because while I actually played the game at a fairly high level, compared to football where I never played at all ... I feel like my knowledge of hockey as a viewer is way lower. I don't really expect to be right, but here's what I would say about Maurice: - no creativity on zone entries, just standard dump and chase and we can't sustain secondary pressure on the dump in to win any battles on the boards. Our one-and-done attack in the offensive zone is frustratingly inefficient. - I don't see our players being used efficiently in their roles on offense (Wheeler on the PP1 comes to mind immediately) - the line juggling is just nonsensical to me at this point - our power play deserves an entire paragraph of it's own but I'll sum it up by saying the combos are stupid and we still can't run a successful PP with this much talent so what the hell are our coaches doing? - too many forwards lost on defense, which leads to sustained pressure in our own end and discombobulated breakouts when we finally control the puck POMOMUSTGO.
  20. I was a big Hellebuyck fan before and I still believe he can get there. But we need a #1 until he gets there.
  21. If he was traded for Adams, I'm sure they'd be thrilled.
  22. Wouldn't touch Bourke these days. He's cooked.
