Around The League Regular Season Discussion
Mike replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Here's what I'm predicting for all-stars: RB - Andrew Harris OL - Travis Bond, maybe Matthias Goossen DL - Jamaal Westerman LB - Khalil Bass, Mo Leggett DB - TJ Heath, Taylor Loffler K - Justin Medlock -
Trouba wants out (Trouba has signed)
Mike replied to FrostyWinnipeg's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
This deal doesn't mean Trouba is going to stay here, it simply means he's an easier asset to get rid of (and for a better return) -

I'd love to see Popp head to Saskatchewan. I'd love the laughs to be only one province over when he starts trying to sign Randy Moss Jr., Snoop Dogg's kid or Ronald Ollie from Last Chance U. -

I hope Bombers make a play for somebody who isn't Nichols. I'm just not sold. -
Let's do this

I'd trade OUR first round pick for Franklin no questions asked. Too bad we didn't just sign him when we had him on our negotiation list years ago. -
Former Als Player Goes Off On Alouettes Gong Show

Popp apparently didn't show up for the meetings teams traditionally have with each player on locker cleanout day. -
You wanna hear strange comparisons? 1983: my dad was 27 years old, won a trip to the Grey Cup, Bombers were in a 20+ year Grey Cup drought but won 11 games and made it to the Grey Cup and eventually won it 2016: I'm 27 years old, I've got a 1 in 20 chance to win a trip to the Grey Cup next week, Bombers in a 20+ year drought and won 11 games this year Come on good juju

I won't get into it, because I'm certainly not knowledgeable enough to do so but basically what it boils down to is that it's nowhere near that simple. Few things I'll touch on: - the other team gets paid to show up and make plays as well, sometimes you can do everything right and it's still not going to work - Harris making a cut back read or going off tackle is great, but if he's freelancing and not following his blocks, the percentages don't favor him being productive in the long term ... Van is going off tackle, but it's nowhere near as simple as that - he doesn't just decide that he's going to freelance that kind of move, it's all within the play call and the blocking he's receiving is intended to flow with that If you want to read a bit more: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/football-insider/wp/2015/05/21/differences-between-the-zone-and-power-running-schemes/ Good read.

The thing to keep in mind is that fans generally need to see results to understand something isn't working, whereas coaches generally look at the schemes to understand that something isn't GOING to work. *hypothetical* Harris runs 5 times in a row, 8+ yards on every single carry. Lapo calls an option with the primary being a run again, because it's working (of course) Nichols comes to the line, sees D stacking the box when the primary is a run between the tackles and audibles out to a passing play Fans wonder why we didn't keep running - Team sees a good read by the QB to stop a play before he knew it wasn't going to work *end hypothetical* That's why we pay them to make those decisions while we sit and watch.

Some of the comments in this thread are absolutely hilarious. "WE LEFT NICHOLS IN WAY TOO LONG HE COULD'VE GOTTEN HURT" "WHAT A JERK FOR PULLING HARRIS TO KEEP HIM FROM GETTING HURT" This thread only confirms for me what I've seen all year - Bomber fans have been ruined by all these seasons of losing, we have no idea how to cheer a winner.

I've asked Gov to delete my account as well and shared with him exactly why. He actually replied to me by telling me he took what I told him seriously and while he certainly didn't have time to look into the specifics of what I mentioned to him, he would make time for it in the offseason and let me know. There's one administrator over there that has gone completely off the deep end. I don't expect Gov to do anything about it and truthfully, I can't fault him for being loyal to his people but I'm at least optimistic he may be honest in saying that he's going to look into things. Sometimes people reach out and tell me that I'm a bit of a **** and that the way I post can sometimes be abrasive. Fair enough. I'm not always the most sensitive person when it comes to discussing football on the internet. But I would never use my authority here to start threatening a member I did not like or deleting their posts just because I felt like it. When that starts happening ... you have an issue on your hands. Decided it wasn't worth the effort. Won't be participating on RF.com anymore until that administrator is no longer a part of their staff. -
It's Medlock and it's literally not even close.

I absolutely cannot stand Jason Maas. -
How would Fantuz ever be a justifiable choice over E-Jax for Eastern MOP? 88 catches, 1225 yards, 10 touchdowns 101 catches, 1059 yards, 5 touchdowns I know who I'm taking. I mean no offense to Fantuz, but even Nik Lewis is having a more productive year.

These comments are always worth a chuckle.

As someone who has been open in suggesting Wild may be a casualty in the offseason ... this is ridiculous.

Nooo Quinshad. They keep bringing in all these good looking prospects at receiver and none of them seem to stick. -
Riders winning their last game at the old barn would be an amazing help to us in every single way

Darvin adams getting healthy, who comes out?
Mike replied to wbbfan's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Okay - let's do this then. In his last 18 games, he has 1181 yards and 8 touchdowns. I'm not benching that either. -

I'm not sitting a guy who was on a 1500 yard pace any longer than I have to. Maybe he doesn't have a lengthy resume, but he was on pace to be a breakout receiver this year and if the choice is Gurley or Adams, it's Adams easily. -
I'm more upset none of the players who did dress played.
