  1. I said it when we signed him, if we had Medlock last year, we would've made the playoffs.
  2. I'd be so mad if that happened to us but I was laughing my ass off at Bond last night. Give that man an award.
  3. Ripper told me today on Riderfans.com that he'd rather have Holley and Collins than any one of Denmark, Smith or Dressler.
  4. Eventually we're going to need to get better output from our offense whether it's the tough thing to say around here right now or not. Nichols got it done when it mattered, but if he had of gotten it done earlier in the game, this one might not have been even close. You shouldn't go +6 in the turnover game and win by 14. You should be stomping teams by 20, 30 points when you get that many short fields. I like what Nichols is doing right now, but I truly don't believe it's sustainable. I'm not saying Willy is the answer, but he's going to need to get a look at some point. Then again, maybe once Dressler/Smith are back, Nichols can show us some more offense as well.
  5. I'd rather Loffler play on the edge like that and take those 15 yards every once in a while.
  6. It's basically what John Chiles did. Off the radar for a bit and then got scooped by another team. Clever move. I remember being surprised at the time that he was even on the radar.
  7. I would like the delay of game idea if the officials were even semi-good at getting the calls consistent.
  8. Just sold mine to a fellow member here, he WAS a beauty Mike likes this
  9. Just wait until you see Ray and I on the Untapped tonight. We've got three dozen beers coming to our beer night tonight after our group's individual trips through BC, Alberta and Minneapolis/ND The beer flights will be flyin! Mike likes this
  10. I'll risk my timeout on this.
  11. I'm gonna laugh if they were stupid enough to do this IMMEDIATELY as in starting tonight. They've already played a week 9 game under the "old" rules. You can't change it for the other three this week. That's just dumb.
  12. I love the atmosphere around here when we're winning
  13. Blue is the colour!
  14. I can't read that link right now, so I don't know what it says but whatever it says, it probably can't dispute that Yantz has posted pictures on social media of him being at EA Sports HQ doing motion capture work. There's one he posted with the entire crew of guys doing the work and they're all CIS guys.
  15. Dennis Skulsky was the guy who said the game IS happening within the past month. Orridge has confirmed they're working on it too. It's further along than you'd suspect ... Jordan Yantz has been part of a team of CIS players working with EA Sports to do the motion capture work.
  16. I see it here too from a few specific people. I just don't get it. The guy is doing a whole lot and just doesn't seem to get any credit because he's not shaking as many hands or kissing as many babies as Cohon did.
  17. Honestly. I don't get it. Is it just unfamiliarity with what he is supposed to do? Is it because people just insist on disliking the commissioner no matter who it is? Inherent bias because they were unhappy with his appointment in the first place? Because he blew a deal in the NHL when he was with CBC? What is it? I see so many comments blaming him for things that have nothing to do with him or complaining about how he doesn't appear to be doing anything. It's a joke at this point. Orridge has done a BUNCH for this league and he's only been in office for 16 months or so now. Since his time in office, he has: - Introduced a domestic violence policy that applies league-wide, includes mandatory training for every employee - Introduced a drug policy that now tests 100% of the players in the CFL - Rebranded the league and while I can't give him credit for the Adidas deal, the entire marketing venture surrounding the rebrand has been what I would call a success - Introduced a partnership with DraftKings that has expanded the CFL exposure in the US and seen a substantial boost in the ESPN ratings - Introduced an initiative that gets the CFL partnered up with the NFL for referee cross training - whether this proves to work or not, it's an intelligent move for a league that greatly needs to improve their efforts in regards to officiating - Confirmed development of a CFL video game that is LONG overdue So what's the deal? What is this guy doing that is so wrong?
  18. Which is brilliant.
  19. Football is the game!
  20. That game definitely showed me that we can hang with either of those teams. BC OL was pitiful last night, that Ottawa pass rush isn't anything to be scared of. On the flip side, the key to beating the Ottawa D is to work the underneath stuff, which we have more than enough talent to do. We'll compete with both of these teams.
  21. I'm hopeful that when Willy gets another opportunity, he'll show that the time he had riding pine was to his benefit. The guy used to have a pretty good deep ball.
  22. Me neither. But when you look at it ... I guess the way you pitch it to him is "do you want to restructure or do you want to find a new employer?" (nicer than that, obviously) Not a big fan of this but I trust Walters can get it done in the best interests of all of those involved. For all the perceived knocks against him, contract negotiation definitely hasn't been one of them.
  23. The rare big guy face vs. small guy heel
