  1. I love the atmosphere around here when we're winning
  2. Blue is the colour!
  3. I can't read that link right now, so I don't know what it says but whatever it says, it probably can't dispute that Yantz has posted pictures on social media of him being at EA Sports HQ doing motion capture work. There's one he posted with the entire crew of guys doing the work and they're all CIS guys.
  4. Dennis Skulsky was the guy who said the game IS happening within the past month. Orridge has confirmed they're working on it too. It's further along than you'd suspect ... Jordan Yantz has been part of a team of CIS players working with EA Sports to do the motion capture work.
  5. I see it here too from a few specific people. I just don't get it. The guy is doing a whole lot and just doesn't seem to get any credit because he's not shaking as many hands or kissing as many babies as Cohon did.
  6. Honestly. I don't get it. Is it just unfamiliarity with what he is supposed to do? Is it because people just insist on disliking the commissioner no matter who it is? Inherent bias because they were unhappy with his appointment in the first place? Because he blew a deal in the NHL when he was with CBC? What is it? I see so many comments blaming him for things that have nothing to do with him or complaining about how he doesn't appear to be doing anything. It's a joke at this point. Orridge has done a BUNCH for this league and he's only been in office for 16 months or so now. Since his time in office, he has: - Introduced a domestic violence policy that applies league-wide, includes mandatory training for every employee - Introduced a drug policy that now tests 100% of the players in the CFL - Rebranded the league and while I can't give him credit for the Adidas deal, the entire marketing venture surrounding the rebrand has been what I would call a success - Introduced a partnership with DraftKings that has expanded the CFL exposure in the US and seen a substantial boost in the ESPN ratings - Introduced an initiative that gets the CFL partnered up with the NFL for referee cross training - whether this proves to work or not, it's an intelligent move for a league that greatly needs to improve their efforts in regards to officiating - Confirmed development of a CFL video game that is LONG overdue So what's the deal? What is this guy doing that is so wrong?
  7. Which is brilliant.
  8. Football is the game!
  9. That game definitely showed me that we can hang with either of those teams. BC OL was pitiful last night, that Ottawa pass rush isn't anything to be scared of. On the flip side, the key to beating the Ottawa D is to work the underneath stuff, which we have more than enough talent to do. We'll compete with both of these teams.
  10. I'm hopeful that when Willy gets another opportunity, he'll show that the time he had riding pine was to his benefit. The guy used to have a pretty good deep ball.
  11. Me neither. But when you look at it ... I guess the way you pitch it to him is "do you want to restructure or do you want to find a new employer?" (nicer than that, obviously) Not a big fan of this but I trust Walters can get it done in the best interests of all of those involved. For all the perceived knocks against him, contract negotiation definitely hasn't been one of them.
  12. The rare big guy face vs. small guy heel
  13. I'll speak for myself here when I say that I do think this forum is above falling apart, and for good reasons. Could it happen? Obviously. Will it? I strongly doubt it.
  14. Neither one of us said either of those things. I suppose Rich in a way says that, but I didn't take it to mean a fence-sitter, I just took it to mean that someone who doesn't allow their emotions to lean too strong in either direction, no matter if their opinion is favorable or critical. Not a "middle of the road" fence sitter who shares nothing but a neutral opinion.
  15. It's like you read Rich's post, then fabricated one in your mind and replied to that. Because you certainly didn't address anything Rich said.
  16. All I know is that if Rider fans are worried about a team (us, they seem to think) scooping John Murphy in the offseason, his body of work this year has sure done a good job of ensuring we won't want to. He's been miserable this year.
  17. Never understood why once we have QB depth, people are in such a hurry to dispose of it. Look down the line right now at the 6 playoff teams. The backup quarterbacks, without Willy in the equation, would shake down like this: Kilgore, Burris, Masoli, Tate, Lulay, Dominique Davis ... other than Kilgore, would anyone be in a worse position than us come playoff time? I feel bad for Willy, honestly. It's sad how people have turned on him.
  18. "On our radar to some degree" would be a fair guess.
  19. My friend is in the top 3 in Canada and I don't think he's watched a single game all year
  20. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that I don't see the 'Macho back at safety with first team defense' tweet pop up anytime soon ... (ever)
  21. I take serious issue with this post for so many reasons that I don't know where to begin. There's no alignment with "pro-team" members. There's no "clique" on this website. And if you think we wouldn't select someone to be a staff member here simply because they're critical of the club, you're absolutely mistaken. Many of these critics need to take a look in the mirror if they don't understand why there tends to be what could be conceived as a "bias" against them. It's not because of their views. It's because a fair share of the critics also tend to be the emotional, volatile type of poster that requires the most moderation. We have never and will never punish anyone because they are critical of the team, but if that criticism is shaped in a way that violates the few simple rules this forum has, then it's handled appropriately.
  22. I wouldn't be so sure.
  23. What about Johnny Adams and Hardrick?
  24. He's a freak. Love this signing.
