Pretty much. As long as by "they", we all know it's two specific posters.

But imagine a Clarence Denmark face turn?

Heenan didn't make anywhere near that much in his first year. the 400k is a ridiculous ask - that's not the issue that I'm laughing about over on Riderfans. The thread is a great read right now.

Was thinking about this earlier and I'm really torn on who I expect more from this year between Ryan Smith and Weston Dressler. Smith is younger and probably has more room to grow, but Dressler brings that increased professionalism to a group that really needed an injection of it on the offensive side of the ball. I'd love to hear opinions though because I'm fairly torn. Dressler or Smith?

DL Cameron Henderson added to retired list WR Lestar Jean added to roster (6'3", NFL experience)

Or how about whoever scores gets to punch out the guy defending him
-
Plus then you can keep your eyes on the clouds so you don't miss the chance to yell at them as they go by.

New plane would be cool. I don't like the plane right now, but I think part of that is because it looks like it's decades old.
-
I think the guy that could make the biggest impact this year is Loffler, to be honest.

*If* Jones actually did offer the league minimum to JSJ, he's an absolute idiot. I don't think he did, for what it's worth. Rider_Stronson is going on and on over at Riderfans about how this is a market correction to make up for the deals Walters and Desjardins gave out last year to Chungh and Mateas, but what a joke. He wants to blame this on some valiant effort to right the wrongs of past GMs, but really it strikes me as Jones (again, *if* true) trying to combat stubbornness with stubbornness. The #1 overall pick hasn't made league minimum for years. Heenan didn't, Muamba didn't, even Shomari the Marshmallow didn't make league minimum. I don't know what is going on with these negotiations, but if there was a league minimum offer tabled then Jones is going to find out in a hurry that JSJ isn't in any hurry to sign for that amount.

No doubt in my mind Saskatchewan has a worse defense than us this year. The only spot they rate out evenly to us on paper is in the linebacking group. They've added some great pieces but that secondary is going to be a nightmare early on.

Guaranteed you.

Is Henoc Muamba pi**ing away his football career?
Mike replied to IC Khari's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I don't dislike Muamba - I just choose to not even factor him into my thought processes regarding this team because let's face it, his agent will be a headache no matter what. I like Henoc. His agent is an absolute ****. -

Who cares about Henoc Muamba - he's dead to me, to be honest -
I really like that we brought Carlos back - I'm also a big fan of the Singleton and Mayo signings. Singleton could factor in at safety.

Not worried about Corney, he's been getting ready for his graduation so it's probably no worry that he hasn't inked his deal yet.

As an Oregon fan, I'm not really sold on Adams as a pro QB. He's got some serious flaws in his game that will make his transition into the pros a rocky one, if you ask me. That being said, he is very well suited for the CFL IF he can work past those technical issues and a few personal question marks. First rounder though ... jeez what a joke

They're both from the NCAA, they've turned pro now and can't go back.

Not that I really understand what this comment has to do with anything to begin with, but it's also incredibly inaccurate. Westerman plays on the edge. Good. He's also 100% one of the leaders of our defense, along with Wild and Randle.
-
As far as problems go in the overall scheme of things, our Canadian depth is literally the least of my worries. We'll be starting 3 NI OL, Harris, Shologan, Westerman and Kohlert - that leaves us Hurl, Bucknor, Thomas and Waggoner as what I'd call flexible depth on the defensive side of the ball and our OL would be in alright shape if we have to trot Jeff Keeping out there as well. Add in guys like Corney, Derek Jones, Loffler to take some defensive snaps as well and I feel pretty happy about the Canadian contingent on our team. But I suppose I don't blame you for suggesting we don't play an American kicker - we're a playoff team more times than not with Medlock doing our placekicking last year.
-
You're largely overstating the impact of a Canadian kicker towards the ratio. You act as if it counts as a number towards the seven starters. It doesn't.
-
You can see it in all of the pictures posted in this thread from the press conference.

Honestly, the only guy I see getting picked is Francis. Gallo hasn't played football since 2014 and he was an underweight offensive lineman with a minimal resume at a lower level university. Tizzard may get a look because of his long snapping ability, I suppose. Francis at least strikes me as a guy who has athletic potential.

With a small signing bonus to boot.

Just like Eichel wasn't guaranteed to be a Sabre last year. But he was. The media just speculated otherwise because if the top two picks are so obvious, what else are they going to talk about? If Laine isn't a Jet, it's because Matthews is. Not because Puljujarvi is. That's no slight on Puljujarvi either, by all accounts he's a hell of a hockey player. He impressed me a ton during the WJC. But not only is Laine better, he's exactly what this team needs.
