I wish I had said this *before* the lottery, but I never dreamt it would happen anyways so I didn't think I'd need to but I'm happier with the 2nd overall pick than the 1st personally. The decision is either Laine or Matthews. For our roster, I actually prefer Laine but now there's really no decision for us to make. We simply take who Toronto doesn't and the pressure is on them to make the right pick. If we had the first overall pick, I'd still want us to take Laine. I understand Matthews is a center, but I'm taking the Ovechkin prototype over the Kopitar prototype every day with our roster built the way it is.

I think we like being an alternative to the "official" forum. That being said, my own personal opinion is that I'd be curious about Tait's approach to dealing with a forum like this one seen as how he's posted here before.

What rant? And I wouldn't be so quick to suggest the pants will be blue. If anything, I could see them doing something similar to what Nike did and have a specific "color rush" style uniform they wear once with the blue pants, but I believe the pants will ultimately be gold.

I guess when Ohio media called the Bombers to do a piece on Chris Garrett in 2012 and asked for comments from his coach, it was just a mistake that Kyle Walters was the guy they tabbed to do the interview. There are some things worth being stubborn about, but good grief is this ever not one of them.

People will be happy with the uniforms - trust me. I'd expect the numbers to have gold trim this time instead of just being plain white (or blue, on the road uniform) and other than that, they'll stay mostly the same although the road uniform is decked out a bit to give it a bit of a more modernized look.

I would say you're entirely misinterpreting that quote if you didn't gather that willingness to adapt from what he said.

It's a lot easier to spot certain things from a different vantage point.

The intent is to have the "eye in the sky" communicating AS play is occurring, not forcing a stoppage after the fact. I say intent because I highly doubt that's actually what will happen but the initial goal is not to force any extra stoppages.
