  1. So tired of Doug Brown giving us his ridiculously negative take on everything. Even when he likes something, he has to go out of his way to say 'but I don't like it THAT much'
  2. That would be his dad.
  3. Not a bottomless pit of money, per se and I'm sure that's not what he meant beyond the figure of speech. The difference is their ownership is basing decisions on how much money they FEEL like spending, our directors are basing decisions, quite probably, on how much they're able to spend. There's a very big difference.
  4. ... what I'm implying is there may be no decision to be made. I don't know what restraints they have or regulations they're forced to abide by,
  5. ... what I'm trying to say is that maybe they are not able to spend that money as they are not privately owned.
  6. I don't know how you're saying he's 110% wrong when you're basically saying the exact same thing, Noeller is just saying it's a difference in wallet size and you're saying it's a deliberate choice (which I don't believe is correct)
  7. I guess that really depends on what the coach has asked of you. Some coaches will simply demand their kickers don't go all out on those plays. Try and wrap up or knock the returner out of bounds, maybe trip him up if you can but you're not going to ask your kicker to full blown submarine himself at a returner in most cases.
  8. This is very untrue. A kicker not selling out to make a tackle might cost you 7 points. Losing your kicker for the rest of the game could cost you far more. Losing your kicker long term? Even worse. If Medlock didn't sell out to make a tackle, I'm not going to be upset. Kickers wear next to nothing for equipment. They're basically 50/50 to get injured if they have to sell out for a tackle.
  9. It's ironic that you make that kind of ignorant comment, considering his problem is I didn't share an opinion and the reason I didn't is because I don't know enough to have one. All I was sharing in this thread were the facts. But carry on.
  10. lol it's a joke, simmer down.
  11. I see you're in full mental gymnastics mode today. Oh well, congratulations.
  12. Here's how I know you're not even bothering to read the posts before you continue to backpedal and argue: I never shared an opinion on him.
  13. So if, in your estimation, we have very little to go off in forming an opinion, why did you choose to form such a strong one based on that limited information?
  14. That's not what you meant and we both know it.
  15. Calling it the Hurl defense is insinuating it's a defensive statement I made, when in reality it's just the truth. If you're going to sit here and try to argue with me that every guy on special teams coverage is assigned the same job (to make the tackle), that's narrow minded and unintelligent. Waggoner didn't play a position on teams that was primarily responsible for tackling the ball carrier. It's not an opinion, it's not a defense, it's a fact. Your inability to want to address it and simply throw out terms like "the Hurl defense" really doesn't contribute anything.
  16. I never said he's really good. I never suggested anything about his abilities whatsoever, but as was predicted, you're just going to completely ignore everything thrown at you as far as actual football discussion. What's the point of discussing football if you don't want to actually discuss football? You're just going in circles complaining.
  17. I know the likelihood of you scoffing at this is high, but I just wanted to bring up the fact that he didn't play a position on special teams that is meant to be making tackles. He was primarily playing what I'd call, for lack of a better term, the L5 spot on kick coverage and really the only time he'd be doing anything other than lane contain in that role is if the gunner blows a tackle and there's an opening down the sideline. Not every player on ST is out there to make the tackle. What you're doing is similar to accusing the offensive guard of being no good because he didn't get enough touchdowns.
  18. To say that is ridiculous, if you ask me. What you're really trying to say is "his second round drafting has been poor", which I'd tend to agree with. But considering it's been two drafts, I'm not sure how you expect to really measure his success in the later draft rounds. Derek Jones as a fourth rounder is probably capable enough to start in the same role as Bucknor at this point - that alone makes his later round drafting a success to me.
  19. Considering we know for a fact his first choices for OC/DC were Jason Maas and Rich Stubler, I'm not going out of my way to bash him for his preference in assistants yet. I'd like to really see what O'Shea does now that he has something to work with. This staff (on paper) is solid. The talent (on paper) is the best we've had yet. If Drew stays healthy, there are zero excuses if this isn't a playoff team.
  20. I do, but I won't bother getting into it because I know you won't buy into anything related to that anyways without proof.
  21. You don't really know how accountable he holds players. I've been critical of him hanging onto Kuale as well, but that's one instance and it was two years ago. Hurl wasn't as bad as everyone thinks, although he is a popular whipping boy. We'll see where he fits in this year.
  22. Nothing in this piece really says any of that.
  23. So many complaints, zero reports.
  24. Good to hear. It seems like it should be relatively easy stuff to grasp too. I remember last year I went to grab my dad a bottled drink, hot dog and fries. I paid and the girl immediately handed me my drink and hot dog and after about a 5 minute wait for the fries, I asked her if she could put it back and give me product that hadn't been out of the cooler/warmer and she looked at me like I had sprouted a third eye. Simple things like that. It also surprises me how they don't have the buns prepped in advance if they're waiting on meat. So many times I see them waiting for burgers to be done, but they don't bother to prep the buns with whatever goes on them until they have the burger ready to go. That seems counter productive as well.
