This probably sounds ridiculous but if "experienced head coach" is part of the criteria for what we'd be looking for with an O'Shea replacement, the guy at the top of my list very well could be Jeff Reinebold.

In what world is Demond Washington able to play both outside linebacker spots? SAM, I'll give you. WIL? Absolutely not. I don't know where you're getting all these ideas about players ability to play positions they're not.

To me, his need is that he's an excellent special teams with the versatility to backup multiple positions. I've always held the belief that your roster backups don't always NEED starter potential. For example, Burnett would be a great backup in-game if Bass were to get hurt, but obviously Knox would likely start if the injury kept Bass out of more than just the one game. I think the reason we don't have an import backup for DB is because we have so many serviceable Canadian backups. Morgan, Loffler and Jones are all major assets for the club.

I think the only relevant thing you mentioned is the noise we bring. But I don't think it's up to us.

How am I trolling? I've held the same belief for a very long time -- Burnett is not a SAM linebacker. Or a DB. BC didn't think he was. We don't think he is. It seems like the professionals are on the same side of the argument that I am. Nobody has been able to suggest anything that has led me to believe otherwise.

We're all watching the same dumpster fire. Not everyone responds the same way, and I definitely do believe the way some people respond and behave is something that could be improved upon. But at this point, I don't think I can blame anyone. I think we're all sick of it and we just choose to cope (is that the best word?) in different ways.

I don't understand this comment. The positions Burnett backs up are healthy. He literally backs up two spots on our defense and both of them are healthy. What are you getting at?

I've always found it interesting that the level headed individuals on this forum that describe their interactions with executives, players, coaches, etc always seem to come away with a positive impression. It's only a "certain" type of individual who seems to describe their experiences as poor. Almost as if their behavior is what led to the way they were treated.

Half those guys didn't fall through any cracks in the CFL though.

Initially last night, I didn't think I wanted O'Shea gone. For that exact reason - I don't want LaPolice or Hall as the head coach either. Because we've seen that story one too many times before. But you're right - if the best reason we can keep a guy is that at least it's not another guy, that's not a reason at all. Get rid of him and make sure management does the right thing in the offseason. O'Shea is done.

If the coaching is so bad that even our all-stars underperform, how do you know the new talent is bad? Maybe they're being brought down as well. PS - if you think our Canuck talent is weak, you should look again. Did you see Jones/Morgan/Loffler out there last night? All depth. All young. All Canadian. All very respectable performances.

Willy has been telegraphing every single thing he does almost all season. He telegraphs his hand offs, he basically stares down Dressler every time he throws that screen pass ... he's so broken it's not even funny.

Cuz they're hungry to play and our starters are just walking around defeated. One thing that caught my eye. Darvin Adams - who is an easy example, because he's probably got the most obvious body language of any player on our team - walked around looking pissed off all game until Nichols came in. Hit Adams with a 10 yard catch. Adams gets pumped up. Because there was some hope.
