  1. Until the referees actually figure out what the hell they're doing on the field AND in the command center, this would be a disaster.
  2. We've had this guy before too.
  3. We might be looking at an import guard, but that will not be this guy. In my opinion anyways ... that's a real CFL tackle frame. I could see Martin and Hardrick getting looks at guard though. Maybe though ... who knows ... I'm really just guessing.
  4. They don't have Muamba.
  5. Bingo. Lots of work to be done prior to draft day, mostly in regards to determining what kind of OL depth we're going to see. If a few of the fringe guys like Jamieson and Intzandt establish themselves ... there could be some worthwhile OL picks in that range. If not, it's going to be tough because Dunk is right - the good ones could go very early.
  6. We have to find a way to use a pick to get a OL on the roster. Maybe not both picks, but it'd be a tough pill to swallow if we can't get one. This weekend should give us a better idea of the OL talent available.
  7. Are people really worried that there aren't going to be tickets available? 33000 seats at $600 a pop on average? I don't see the sellout coming as quickly as a lot of folks.
  8. That would be one really awful team. We need way more of a veteran presence than that.
  9. Why do you choose to deal in such absolutes when you admit you really have no clue?
  10. Zhamnov and Housley would be good.
  11. FWIW Jennings doesn't even make close to what most 3rd string QBs make, never mind starters. He's incredibly underpaid.
  12. You're not going to get much budge from a GM on an entry deal into the CFL.
  13. It's not really all on Jennings at all. I'm on the fence in regards to holdouts in pro football. Contracts, unlike in the NBA, MLB and NHL, aren't guaranteed in pro football and the career length is much shorter. Because of those factors, I'm a little less inclined to criticize a player for holding out when they clearly deserve more. Let's be realistic here. Jennings is the starter, not Lulay. Why should he risk injury for minimum salary? He went lights out as a rookie and now he deserves to be paid. I don't think you bump him to 300-400k right away but I think the fair and right thing to do is at least give the guy an incentivized deal where he earns more if he's starting. It's just good business.
  14. lol what the heck Pirri for a 6th? So much for that market.
  15. Zero chance Edmonton deals their first round pick in any deal.
  16. She didn't write it. DC did.
  17. Congratulations on your lack of reading comprehension.
  18. I know most people won't because of the on-field performance, but there's a lot to be taken from that article. The main thing is that while for the moment it's easy to argue the decisions that are being made, the process behind those decisions is a good one. Players want to be here - now we just have to improve on choosing the ones we want here. The morale inside the office, the locker room, the entirety of the stadium ... it's as high as it's been for a long time and that's 100% because of the culture Miller, Walters and O'Shea have instilled. People like going to work while they're here and that matters. Now just get the on-field stuff right.
  19. And what team would that be?
  20. Good group of receivers out there this year ... Josh Stanford really should be in the top 20 prospects. Mike Jones is a super interesting prospect to me, although I have no idea how he's Canadian. He'll probably be the fastest receiver at the combine and he's going to be an interesting Canadian deep threat burner for whoever drafts him.
  21. Surprised Topolinski and Lalama weren't invited right to the main combine.
  22. ... OR Stoudermire IS our back up import RB!
  23. One catch - every single one of those trades gets turned down.
