  1. Every DB gets beat a lot, there's nearly 40000 yards of passing a year in the CFL.
  2. a pop-punk band that was popular 10 years ago... that's fine if you're ok with that... I'm not... I don't pretend to be a modern pop music expert... but I honestly haven't heard these guys in the news in years... They just released a new album and are kicking off a tour. They're pretty relevant. Not my style, but I know people who will be thrilled.
  3. The number one key to success is caring about how you look on the sidelines. Right, Bill?
  4. A fan forum where we complain about the facial hair of our head coach. No wonder I can't be bothered anymore.
  5. The other part of the quote is more interesting.
  6. 3 huge turnovers and they were the reason we were even in the game.If you want a reason for the 38 minutes of Ottawa TOP, look no further than the 6 carries for 20 yards by Cam Marshall or the 6 sacks on Matt Nichols. The defense is as much to blame as the offense. Fatigue does not factor in when the defense gives up over 300 yards passing and 19 first downs in the first half. Huge chunks of real estate given up throughout the entire first two quarters including an embarrassing 75 yard td drive at the end of the half. Defense has lots of holes. Maybe, but a bunch of that came when they essentially had to play an entire quarter with maybe a break or two of a play from our O. Hard to ask our D to keep up a high level of play when they can't get off the field for more than a minute.
  7. Probably the best post you've ever had. Well written!
  8. To do things the way they're described in that blog is one thing - if that's someone's choice, that's all well and good. But to suggest that's the ONLY way as the blog does? Bullshit.
  9. Also not an answer to the question.
  10. It's not negativity, it's reality. Some guys are meant to be roleplayers and when you find GOOD roleplayers, they're very valuable. Jake Thomas is a GOOD roleplayer, but he shouldn't be starting on a team aspiring to win championships.
  11. Playoff spot or not, I think we're kidding ourselves expecting some kind of fairy tale ending to our season. I can't see anything beyond a one game foray into the postseason and at that point, big deal. It doesn't help Drew Willy any, because he likely won't play. It doesn't give our offense any momentum going into next season, because we sure as **** better be starting from scratch anyways. Maybe it gives guys like Bass or Adams some playoff experience they can learn from on the D side of things, but aside from that, I don't see much coming from it.
  12. Not something I would do, but I don't blame the guy - everyone deals with their frustrations differently. I'm doing things I never would've imagined doing before as a Bomber fan, they're just not as extreme.
  13. Would likely be overexposed in much bigger of a role than he is in right now, but he'll make a great backup to Bilukidi next year. Glad to see him extended.
  14. Added to PR and they already cut BJ Catalon lol
  15. Big Country! I like Farmer and Catalon ... both really intriguing guys. Don't know anything about Davis.
  16. Lining up Pontbriand as a wideout really says it all. Roster management, scouting and schemes (especially schemes) all bundled into one.
  17. Give me a break. There are better qbs out there that haven't been signed. Free agents. It's called RECRUITING, Mike.I've heard of recruiting once or twice. I'll try explaining once more. How can you, as a fan, say Davis is worth cutting when you're basically going off absolutely nothing? You say there are better quarterbacks out there. Obviously. But if that's your argument, we may as well just cut everyone because we're not rostering the best anything in the whole world right now.I'm asking you - how can you justifiable say with any confidence that he should (or should not) be cut when you're giving a blind opinion on the topic? We haven't seen him do anything, good or bad. Mike, this is a merry go round with you. Round & round. As usual when you start up with me it always ends this way. You're actually arguing with me over the merits of keeping a fourth string qb?? What I said was my opinion. If I could see this discussion actually going somewhere I'd be more interested in carrying on. I'm done talking to you. Buh bye. It's funny because everyone can see I've actually been trying to get your take on something for like the last 8 posts and you just keep dodging it. You can blame me for a merry-go-round if you want but I'm not the one refusing to answer a simple question.Iso's gonna IsoA different opinion doesn't mean he's wrong. A few posters ganging up on a member doesn't mean that member is wrong either. It's not about a different opinion, it's about refusing to back up his opinion and opting instead to try and pretend like people are attacking him for having an opinion as opposed for asking for that opinion to be clarified and expanded upon. I swear there is a real lack of understanding the difference here. Yes, I'm guilty as charged for the crime of having an opinion. For that I am being sentenced to death by hanging. There's the gallows. Throw the lever & drop the floor. Let me hang until dead. Yea, though I walk through the Valley Of The Shadow Of Death, I fear no evil. Thy rod & thy staff, they comfort me. I'm entitled to one last dinner of choice, prime rib on the barbecue. Also a cigarette & whiskey on the rocks before my execution. I also have but one last simple request... I have a letter in my back pocket for my family. Please make sure they get it & tell them... I loved them..

  20. You're still not answering the question. Better than what?
  21. Nobody is saying anyone is right or wrong. I'm just unsure how you even formed your opinion in the first place because there's literally nothing for us to use as evidence.
  22. Google Trevor Harris and check how many years he's with the Argos before he became a starter for them this year. And if not for Ray injury he's probably still the #2. So, you keep a guy around based on Trevor Harris? I'd also say Scott Milanovich's system is a lot better than ours seeing he won a couple of GC's & MB has won how many? And I'd also say he is a better qb coach than the guy we have here now. You keep a guy around because you shouldn't expect a 4th stringer to be anything but a project for at least the first year. And Trevor Harris is one example of ... dozens. Travis Lulay was another guy that was a 4th stringer in his first year and didn't rise up the depth chart until the following year. Hell, Bo Levi was another example. As was Collaros. There are tons. Impatience like what you're displaying is not the recipe for success. Also ... what does the system have to do with anything?
  23. Hahahaha Trevor Harris relax.
  24. I don't really understand the point of what you're saying here. You're talking about our 4th string QB being a non-factor as if that's a bad thing and the only thing anyone said in response was that it's kind of early to say get rid of the guy when you don't even have a body of work to point to in argument. If you really want to be argumentative, let's point to the fact that the ONLY body of work the guy has for us as fans to measure him by is a 9/10, 75 yard, 1 TD performance in the preseason. Would you cut him based off that? Or simply because he hasn't fulfilled your hopes of a meteoric rise up the depth chart? Of course, then in a fashion that has become so typical of you that you may want to look into trademarking the term "Isoed", you treat any statement that falls contrary to what you said as a personal beef. As far as what I saw? I saw someone say, in simpler terms, "maybe we shouldn't assume he's worth cutting, we don't really have much to go off" tl;dr? What TrueBlue said. "Classic."
