BC cut T-Dre Player, 2nd round pick in 2014, who started 9 games for them at right guard last year.
24 years old, born in Winnipeg ... is there any reason this kid doesn't immediately join the Bombers? This is exactly the stroke of luck we needed if we can bring him in.
Makes sense - Butcher will develop a lot more by taking care of the prep program they'll send him off with and getting the opportunity to take CIS reps.;
Teravainen and Drouin are equal on what planet?
Drouin just had his coming out party in Tampa Bay and figures into their roster for the foreseeable future. Teravainen doesn't even have a role in Chicago that suits him.
If this is the kind of entertainment we get from the mandatory assistant interviews, I'm ALL for it.
It's about time somebody tore into some of the stupidity that gets peddled by our local media. Notice how when Wylie asks a football related question, NOBODY in that scrum has an answer for it? They can look at numbers all they want on a piece of paper but ask them to actually talk about what goes on down at field level and they're speechless.
What I don't quite understand is that after continually having your proposals critiqued on not only this forum, but another Jets forum as well, you still have difficulty grasping the idea that most of the suggestions you come up with are incredibly far-fetched.
Yzerman's reaction if Chevy ever pitched this trade?
Not entirely sure how our old national scout (which people seem to be confusing as scouting for "national" players) got a promotion to the NFL but hey, I'm not about to jump on the new guy quite yet.
Seems like yet again, we've scouted a pretty poor crop of players so maybe some new blood is necessary.
You can talk about the great Chris Jones all you want, his defense last year had 3 more sacks than Winnipeg and we produced a grand total of 3 sacks from the end position opposite of Westerman. For all the disguised blitzing and different looks a Chris Jones defense gives, his elite linebackers in Edmonton put together 5 less sacks than our "awful" ones here in Winnipeg.
We've since added the #1 and #2 ranked DTs in quarterback sacks last year.
Getting to the QB shouldn't be a problem for us.
That's not what he said. He said our problem last year was our DL couldn't do a damn thing to create pressure, which was largely why we struggled so much. Gave the QB way too much time to throw. We fixed that this year.
