  1. Glenn was NOT why they lost. He was absolutely outstanding yesterday having the best performance of any QB so far this season with almost 500 yards. Also, that interception was on Taj Smith. Instead of actually running towards the ball, he basically stood there. One of the main reason we lost was defence. Couldn't make a tackle to save their lives and allowed too many big plays. Considering just how close the game was, less big plays may have given us the win. Glenn will be a great leader for us going forward. If we don't finish well this year, it will be because of defence, not quarterbacking, and this would have been a problem even if Durant hadn't gotten injured. That performance was not even close to the best performance of the year by a QB. Drew Willy and Trevor Harris both played far better in Week 1 and I would argue Trevor Harris played better than Glenn did yesterday as well, you could even argue Cato did against Calgary as well.
  2. Yep, read that book before. Had the game ready for the tie and then throws a brutal pass to a wide open Getz.
  3. lol as if I picked Montreal.
  4. That scoreboard irritates me to no end.
  5. I would imagine Cronk sits out with Tyler this week.
  6. I'm going to go with Andrew Harris as well. strike that, I'm going with Cotton.
  7. Veltung, Marshall, Shell and one of the DL. Tyler and a NI will sit, probably Brown or Morgan. Both the DL - 8 Canadians means 5 backup Americans
  8. It's not Sanders or Toston.
  9. You could argue all day about the exact rankings, which is why I'd rather do tiers. Tier 1 Calgary Tier 2 Hamilton Toronto Tier 3 Winnipeg Edmonton BC Saskatchewan Tier 4 Ottawa Montreal
  10. TSN has some of the worst rankings I've seen. BC 2nd?!
  11. what you think about Nate Collins?
  12. Agreed. I'm willing to give Veltung more time at receiver before passing judgement but he seems to be more suited to a DI role at PR/KR. This will make two years of swings and misses at receiver recruitment. That's not good. Jhomo Gordon says hello - he's an incredibly impressive prospect for his age.
  13. Surprised at Unamba being released, only because I didn't think they actually would even though I thought they should. Really REALLY like this Davis signing.
  14. Really no tricky roster moves required. They'll just hide someone on the IR.
  15. Fans were great at the stadium on Saturday. We sat in section 57 and nobody mouthed off to us at all. One guy mockingly tossed an empty beer can at me as a joke and we had a laugh about it, other than that nobody had much of anything to say. Rider fans looked pretty defeated, no point rubbing it in. The only thing I will mention is that if I hear any of them saying the Durant injury is why they lost ... well ... good for them. If that's what they need to get through the day, more power to them I guess. But the Bombers didn't get handed a victory. They took it.
  16. It was only two end zone sections,
  17. It was right in front of us and it definitely looked like the right call.
  18. - No Dressler - No Brack - No Taj - Messam starting at tailback - Dan Clark starting at center - A late round rookie Canadian starting at DT - Jamel Richardson starting in the slot ... they have more questions than we do personnel wise, for sure.
  19. Our group just touched base with Wayne earlier today - Wayne's World is a go.
  20. Personally, I'm glad they're starting Messam. I really hope they're being naïve enough to think he's going to have the same success against Richie Hall that he did against Etcheverry.
  21. Kicker isn't a starter, FB isn't a starter when you have a 5 receiver set. Chick won't line up against Bryant. They'll move him around.
  22. Shell over Unamba? That's a surprise but I actually really like it.
  23. JFG following the career path of Chris Getzlaf thus far - let's see if he makes the next step.
