  1. Waggoner, Hurl, Newman, Briggs, Morgan, Bucknor, Jones, Sherman ... that is a lot of talent on defense. I can't imagine we keep it all together and I doubt every single one of these guys meets the hype but it sure beats throwing Rene Bandaid and Neil McKinlay out there.
  2. I feel like to make up for this, the Bombers should hold a day of TC in each one of our backyards. Anything less and I riot.
  3. "We can't believe this player was still available with our pick, we had him rated as the best player in the draft the whole time" Things every GM everywhere says after a draft. I think it applies here too. Doing a sell job for public consumption. Obviously they like the guy enough to give up a first round pick but I'm not getting super pumped because they're blowing a ton of smoke up his ass right now. True - but they didn't say it.
  4. Would the Bombers potentially look at giving Waggoner reps at safety and moving Leggett to SAM?
  5. 6'1' 225 is small?
  6. Dominic Picard Sam Hurl Jamaal Westerman Sukh Chungh Addison Richards Garrett Waggoner has a club added so much Canadian talent in one offseason in recent memory?
  7. let's get him too. SIGN EVERYONE.
  8. He wasn't even a Canadian citizen during the draft last week, he didn't get his paperwork until a couple days ago,
  9. If the Bombers had him ahead of Ackie and Waud on their draft board then I'm on board with this.
  10. Other penis jokes.
  11. I'm going to guess top 9 on the Bombers board.
  12. This kid better be THAT good.
  13. wow we gave up our first rounder
  14. I'm sure it just means they're willing to spend a pretty reasonable pick. Or maybe they're YELLING their bids.
  15. It's a pretty quiet process, but we should know within a half hour.
  16. The more I see of Waggoner, the more interested I become. Clearly the footage he's got out there is him playing against a weaker level of competition and you can really see it based on the amount of plays he makes on poorly thrown balls but he still looks like he's got a great nose for the ball and great cover speed.
  17. I don't claim to actually know the answer to this question but how expensive could it really be to put up temporary bleachers to seat a couple hundred people for training camp? If you need to recoup the money, set up a hot dog cart. It's tradition that we get to observe training camp and it's going to really bum me out if we have to rely on the media for our TC report fix, because the content quite frankly is nowhere near as good as what we get from the fan community.
  18. "Maybe a bigger crowd on day 1" There were thousands on day 1 last year. I think that deserves a bit more credit than a "maybe"
  19. I feel like Picard is the epitome of a Grey Cup year acquisition. Bridging the gap until Goossen is ready.
  20. "we'll give details on access for fans that plan on attending in the coming days" So basically, sounds like they're not quite sure yet.
  21. There are positives and negatives to that, to be honest. I'd love it, personally - provided the stream was actually done properly. But I can see why a lot of people wouldn't.
  22. Imagine if they live streamed it.
  23. They just tweeted me that it will be "open to the public but in a different way than previous years"
  24. Closing training camp to the public would be one of the biggest mistakes this club has made in recent memory.
