The designated import spot has now been replaced by the "wildlife" spot where teams will be allowed to roster either a bear, deer or moose.

Canucks losing helps. Any time any of those three teams (VAN, CAL, LA) loses outright it helps us. Huge win tonight.

lol at any of us acting like we actually know what the right number for Drew Willy is. To me, he needs to be paid as if he is in the middle tier of starting QBs. 4-5-6 range. Depending on how they view his trajectory, maybe the 3-4-5 range. If that number is 400k then it's 400k.

I wonder if he's the guy we dropped in order to add Jordan Reaves. I would be surprised if they dropped anyone they believed had a legitimate interest in being here in order to add Jordan Reaves. Bombers dropping Bonner just lends itself well to showing just how fluid the negotiation lists are in the CFL. At this time of year, it wouldn't surprise me if the Bombers were making multiple changes to their negotiation list every day.

What is most compelling about this situation to me is to see how many people jump off the Willy bandwagon and forget how difficult it can be to acquire a franchise QB. We need to keep him. Don't let him bend you over the barrel, but if you're going to overpay for a player, it should be him.

400k is more than Mitchell is making, close to what Reilly is making. They'll settle somewhere around 375k and all will be good.

Realistically? Stafford - Scheifele - Wheeler Ladd - Little - Perreault Ehlers - Lowry - Armia/Burmistrov Thorburn - O'Dell - Stempniak/free agent Enstrom - Myers Morrissey/Chiarot - Byfuglien Stuart - Trouba I don't see how on earth we keep Stafford AND Frolik.

Neg list changes on probably a daily basis, I doubt it's 100% full at all times but I agree that hopefully it is full the majority of the time.

I for one welcome back our franchise's all time leading scorer.

Pretty sure I saw him in some of the footage they showed on TSN doing 1 on 1s against Janke.

I saw an interesting stat last night - if the Jets need 11 points in 10 games (before last night) then if you do 10 game splits all year, there's only been one time (the initial 10 games of the year) they didn't meet that requirement.

This is a huge flyer. But hey, why not.

Super thrilled about the Edmonton regional ... definitely the best regional of the three Pospischil should definitely get an invite to the main combine, I'd be very surprised if he didn't. Curious to see Janke, Johnson, Tsoumpas, Lawrence and Kankolongo as well, I could see them plus a couple hogs all having a shot at being invited to the main combine.

Good point, if Bryant gets seriously injured I'm not sure this O-line will do much better than last years edition. An upgrade at Center is great but it's not going to help them much out on the wings. Bombers are very high on Jace Daniels, who would fill in at LT if Bryant got injured. Devin Tyler is another option there as well. I'd say our OL depth this year is better than it was last year. I'd still like to find a way to keep Morley around, but I understand there are some cap issues with that. Jace Daniels just filling in? Devin Tyler?? We had the worst OL in the CFL last year. Our starters were for the most part useless & our backups even worse. So, if a few of the new guys go down hey... it's... no... big... deal. The B Team can fill in & we don't miss a beat. We're solid! Yeesh. This is basically just a classic example of painting every player with the same brush. Jace Daniels didn't take a lot of snaps, but when he was in there, he was great. Just because our OL sucked as a whole doesn't mean we didn't have some capable players. Devin Tyler kinda sucks though.

Why do you constantly have to do this?
-
Don't know how we can possibly project OL picks until the combine.

There's a reason Harris left Manitoba.

This is just untrue.

Even my mom told me she's heard the Bogosian rumors. The problem is that everyone loves a story.

That's a weird arrangement that your fees don't cover internet, but they cover home phone and cable. Seems like you lose out on the ability to bundle + save. I think for everything included, your $400 is a good deal. If I get my Internet through Shaw, which I do, I still get the bundle discount. Oh okay, that's cool then that it's worked out that way.

He's got one hell of a resume.

Been looking into buying a condo recently and what I will say is that the condo that we seriously considered was brand new (built in 2014) and the condo fees were lower than that for a $279,000 condo but they didn't include all of our utilities or a gym facility (all of which you seem to be undervaluing a bit, in my opinion) The fees were $130/month. Does it cover your internet? Or just your cable TV / home phone? Gym / rec center probably isn't equivalent to a stand alone gym, but you won't get a membership at a place like Goodlife or the Y for $40 either so you've got some savings there. The other utilities are low and would likely go up if you lived in your own home. I guess what you've got to look at is, if you lived in a house would you be okay with spending $400 a month on all of that stuff and honestly, my answer would be a resounding yes. The trade off obviously is the stuff that you get when you own a home as opposed to a condo (more yard but more work, a basement but more work, it's all a balance based off preference) Also, I'm shocked what you're describing was assessed at only $220,000. If you don't mind me asking, what specific part of the south end are you located in?

Very excited for Swiston. Hoping he does well in Calgary, he's busted his ass to get healthy.
