No idea what you're trying to imply here?

Envisioning Glenn in November is envisioning the worst case scenario. If we're dealing with the worst case scenario, we're likely ****ed anyways. The upside to Glenn? Being able to stay in the playoff race if let's say, for example, DW got hurt in July and was out until Labour Day.
-
Would love to see us sign Kevin Glenn just to watch the fans react so negatively to a move that would actually be a very wise addition.
-
So I'm assuming Knox = LB? Nice.

No doubt the Riders have gotten worse, though, in my mind. Their Canadian situation is a bit questionable. But so is ours and we think we have a good team, so let's just wait and see I suppose.

Meh, I'd say moving from Foley and Kilgore (or whoever they had at MLB) to Emry and Hall is a big upgrade. Other than that, they've retained depth similar to what we've brought in because we didn't have it in the first place. Let's see how things keep unfolding, though.

Love how Grigsby is getting zero attention in the media.

Federkeil cracks me up. He's giving Calgary an amazing deal on his salary because he's got all that NFL pension money rolling in. Must be nice for Hufnagel to operate within a budget where he's got an all-star Canadian RT for the price that most teams have to pay special teamers.

Good for Miles, always liked him.

super happy for the guy. I know he's busted his ass to get ready to play again.

The reality is that we don't have a single Canadian worth being a full time starter on defense right now. What we have is a stockpile of Canadians who can take a limited and controlled amount of reps in order to manage the ratio via committee. I'm sure we'll see Newman at WILL, Hurl at MAC, Thomas at DT, Sherman at S, Bucknor and Jones at the corner all taking meaningful reps this year. But not a single one of them will likely be asked (outside of MAYBE Bucknor) to be an every down player.
-
He didn't. He said the best two Canadians out of the group of talent they have will be the ones that start.
-
DE - Anderson - Turner - DE Hurl/Newman - MLB - OLB Bucknor - Johnson - Leggett - Washington - Randle Would be my current guess.

How does this work for someone like Armia? What years are we burning? Sorry I'm a noob at NHL contract stuff.

And apparently I'm not the only one. It's pretty easy to tell just by looking around the stadium on game days that the away jersey sells like **** and the royal blue is the most popular. But if you still can't tell, a quick viewing of the Bomber Store website confirms it. 34 items in the jersey section. 18 of them are royal blue. 11 of them are the standard current blue jersey. Only 3 of the beige abomination, followed by 2 of last year's Signature Look. It's pretty obvious that the royal blue is the most popular. Not to mention it's not linked to an era of futility. Just make the change already.

Boudreax is still a free agent I believe. He isn't signed as far as I've heard. He'll be announced in Calgary shortly.

Yes, the team does listen to the fans. And yes, we do monitor forums, mostly to make sure we can dispel false information that's being spoken about as fact. However, first off, it's not a decision made by the "Marketing department" to change the uniform colors. Secondly, yes, we are well aware that a segment of fans wants the team to go back to royal blue full time. Thirdly, it's not as easy as just "deciding" to make a change and then doing it. There are far more factors that would go into a move like that than just making a decision a couple of months before the season and swapping jerseys. It would have to be approved at a variety of levels, and then there would be a substantial cost to switching over all of the team gear, down to the most minute pieces of equipment. If a color scheme switch is going to happen, it's a decision that's made thoughtfully and carefully at higher levels than just the "Marketing department", with consideration given to all of those factors and many, many more. Yes, the royal blues are gorgeous and we know a lot of fans love them. But to suggest the team isn't listening to its fans, or that we "know best" as you put it, just because the royal blues haven't been brought back as the primary jersey is a terribly unfair characterization of the situation when there is substantially more to it than that. But thanks for your input! I'm sure we all appreciate the explanation, but if the club was really paying attention, you wouldn't be talking about a decision that had to be made a couple months before the season started. The fans have been calling for the royal blues ever since you first released them. Personally, I'm just tired of being the Beige Bombers on the road.

The Bombers did pursue Alex Hall. They also are apparently interested in Justin Hickman, who may be asking for a bit too much. Riders and Calgary were both also interested in Hickman, but they went with Hall/Boudreaux instead.

Bombers sign LB Hurl, WR Adams, OL Bryant & Dile, DL Brown
Mike replied to Mike's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Swain to the NFL? Fat chance. Alex Hall is an astute move by Taman. We wanted him too. We could still be in on Hickman. -
Why would we see that? It's not necessary.
-
Yeah i wonder how he feels. Thats about the worst place to go if you want to be in a big hip city. But I guess its closer to home. We'll see how he matures in three years. He will have every opportunity there with some talented players (coming). If he still goes to UFA in three years then it says everything about it. We shall see. Jets end up with a ton of cap space for next season. Time to look at a map lol

I really doubt we get rid of Myers. Everyone wants to **** on him for being awful but let's face it. He's logging HEAVY minutes in a defensive black hole. Buffalo fully intends to be terrible. I'm sure once you put Myers in our system, he's going to look a lot more like what he did before Buffalo went in the shitter.

Joel Armia has legit top 6 potential. He's very highly skilled, 30+ goal potential in a full time role. Near NHL ready too. Brenden Lemieux is Claude's son. Plays like him too. Very much a pest, but he's only 20 and nowhere near NHL ready. Yet. Current comparable seems to be Andrew Shaw.
-
Byfuglien will clearly go back to D at this point, would he not? Armia is near NHL ready.
-
If Myers and Kane are traded in the same deal, I can't see it not being a three way trade. I think. I don't know. THIS IS CRAZY.
