  1. And apparently I'm not the only one. It's pretty easy to tell just by looking around the stadium on game days that the away jersey sells like **** and the royal blue is the most popular. But if you still can't tell, a quick viewing of the Bomber Store website confirms it. 34 items in the jersey section. 18 of them are royal blue. 11 of them are the standard current blue jersey. Only 3 of the beige abomination, followed by 2 of last year's Signature Look. It's pretty obvious that the royal blue is the most popular. Not to mention it's not linked to an era of futility. Just make the change already.
  2. Boudreax is still a free agent I believe. He isn't signed as far as I've heard. He'll be announced in Calgary shortly.
  3. Yes, the team does listen to the fans. And yes, we do monitor forums, mostly to make sure we can dispel false information that's being spoken about as fact. However, first off, it's not a decision made by the "Marketing department" to change the uniform colors. Secondly, yes, we are well aware that a segment of fans wants the team to go back to royal blue full time. Thirdly, it's not as easy as just "deciding" to make a change and then doing it. There are far more factors that would go into a move like that than just making a decision a couple of months before the season and swapping jerseys. It would have to be approved at a variety of levels, and then there would be a substantial cost to switching over all of the team gear, down to the most minute pieces of equipment. If a color scheme switch is going to happen, it's a decision that's made thoughtfully and carefully at higher levels than just the "Marketing department", with consideration given to all of those factors and many, many more. Yes, the royal blues are gorgeous and we know a lot of fans love them. But to suggest the team isn't listening to its fans, or that we "know best" as you put it, just because the royal blues haven't been brought back as the primary jersey is a terribly unfair characterization of the situation when there is substantially more to it than that. But thanks for your input! I'm sure we all appreciate the explanation, but if the club was really paying attention, you wouldn't be talking about a decision that had to be made a couple months before the season started. The fans have been calling for the royal blues ever since you first released them. Personally, I'm just tired of being the Beige Bombers on the road.
  4. The Bombers did pursue Alex Hall. They also are apparently interested in Justin Hickman, who may be asking for a bit too much. Riders and Calgary were both also interested in Hickman, but they went with Hall/Boudreaux instead.
  5. Swain to the NFL? Fat chance. Alex Hall is an astute move by Taman. We wanted him too. We could still be in on Hickman.
  6. Why would we see that? It's not necessary.
  7. Yeah i wonder how he feels. Thats about the worst place to go if you want to be in a big hip city. But I guess its closer to home. We'll see how he matures in three years. He will have every opportunity there with some talented players (coming). If he still goes to UFA in three years then it says everything about it. We shall see. Jets end up with a ton of cap space for next season. Time to look at a map lol
  8. I really doubt we get rid of Myers. Everyone wants to **** on him for being awful but let's face it. He's logging HEAVY minutes in a defensive black hole. Buffalo fully intends to be terrible. I'm sure once you put Myers in our system, he's going to look a lot more like what he did before Buffalo went in the shitter.
  9. Joel Armia has legit top 6 potential. He's very highly skilled, 30+ goal potential in a full time role. Near NHL ready too. Brenden Lemieux is Claude's son. Plays like him too. Very much a pest, but he's only 20 and nowhere near NHL ready. Yet. Current comparable seems to be Andrew Shaw.
  10. Byfuglien will clearly go back to D at this point, would he not? Armia is near NHL ready.
  11. If Myers and Kane are traded in the same deal, I can't see it not being a three way trade. I think. I don't know. THIS IS CRAZY.
  12. We're getting to the point where we're probably at one or two more pieces then we call it a free agency. Like I said two days ago, I still feel we need to leave enough room on our roster to allow our scouting to pay dividends as well. We shouldn't be filling every hole in free agency. I'd like to see us get two of Curran, Peters and Sears. At most.
  13. Buffalo has a unique ability to help us today and in the future. Their prospect pool is insane. I'd take any one of Zadorov, Armia or Grigorenko. In that order.
  14. There was never a Canadian DT available.
  15. Why does that have any bearing on draft needs? We're not going to draft a tackle capable of starting this year.
  16. 2.7% of your annual cap limit for Hurl. I'm not even mad. Especially considering if he earns all of that (which I highly doubt he will) then it means we had a Canadian starting linebacker all year.
  17. Ellingson has apparently signed with Ottawa.
  18. I think the comparison to Edwards was more related to the path he traveled to wind up here.
  19. Gbill said in the chat that Bauming mentioned he heard Sears coming back as a possibility on the radio today.
  20. Jackson got an average of 135k a year. So much for that 200k prediction.
  21. The draft is in May.
  22. Except you missed the part about an impact OT, which would be the Christmas equivalent of a new car. I'd take a new car and some socks.
  23. We might have been better off staying with January if he's who we end up with.I don't know much about him other than he's youngish at 28 years old and played a full season at RT. Is he no good? He's actually 28. But you were partially right, he used to be 25. Other than that, I don't know anything about him either other than Hamilton really didn't seem interested in bringing him back.
