Meh, Miles doesn't have the best reputation with Rider fans. With Knox here as a DB coach, I'm not sure where Miles really fits in. Could he land here as a defensive assistant? Maybe. (Don't get me wrong, I still want him here. I just don't know if it will happen and I don't know if he's really as good as we think he is.)

Or you know what else works great? Reporting him if you think it's a duplicate account, so we can look into it without having to also go and crop out the dozen posts of complaining about it.

What figures are you using? I would think the Bombers would be closer to $800,000 for those four. Does anyone know how much money was moved to 2014 from 2015 when Moore restructured his contract? Either way, if we use your estimate, there's a big difference between $900,000 and about $1.1M that is the estimated salaries of Durant, Labatte, Getzlaf and Dressler.Well, I said "close to", but these are the figures I'm using:Willy: $300,000 Picard: $195,000 Moore: $185,000 Denmark: $170,000 That's a total of $855,000. Not hard to argue that those 4 Riders are simply worth more. I was just wondering. It was reported that Willy's base was $250,000 when he signed. I think you're low on Denmark. When he signed an extension it was reported he was one of the highest paid receivers in the league. The wild card is how much of Moore's salary was moved to 2014. My guess for a total was around $820,000 so we weren't too far apart.Personally I think Getzlaf is overpaid. We'll have to see if Durant is worth $400,000 this season. He wasn't playing very well before he was hurt last season. I didn't see any reports on Denmark being one of the highest paid WRs in the league and I believe Penton reported Denmarks contract is worth less than Moore's AAV of $185,000. I can't remember if it was top 5 or top 10, but it's one of those two. Prior to the Green / Dressler signings, of course.

There is no way we get Heenan. We would have to GROSSLY overpay for SK to let him go -- he's a local boy, old man is a Riderdouche, blah blah. He wants to go to the NFL. Or play in SK. I would like to say take a huge run at him to get SK to burn a bunch of cap money to keep him, but they dont follow the cap anyway so whats the point? I love the CFL and defend it up and down. But the way the cap is treated makes me think it needs a serious cleansing "IF" the CFL is serious about their salary cap rules they should occasionally conduct an official audit of suspicious accounting to keep teams in line. I nominate Mr. Taman and his "numbers-by-napkins" system as a likely benefactor of this program. The sickening smell of fudge is beginning to waft across the prairies and it's only February. That's a good point. Does the CFL conduct audits or is it all based on the honor system? Of course they do audits. Every year.

So do we have the 20th pick or no? I'm confused.

Bombers release Ian Wild
Could be they just opted to go in another direction after a change of heart. Either way, super unfortunate to hear about Ian. But if this means he ends up back in the CFL, I sure hope he wants to be back here!

Don't mean to run down your post, because I'm not saying you are wrong. But how does that quote indicate Walters has a good grasp on Kris Bastien? I mean, of course he does. He should have a good grasp on every national player between the ages of 16-40. But how does a complimentary quote about him after they JUST traded for him prove that?

Bombers trade Cory Watson to Saskatchewan
I asked Darren Cameron if they could name that guy and he said league policy prevents them from it, but he said if they ever signed him, it'd be mentioned that he was acquired in this deal.

It's funny ... I remember over the past few months, we've all been talking about maybe trading Watson. So many of us (myself especially) were shooting down the hope of ever being able to get a 2nd rounder for Watson. Thank you Taman!

Unloading salary before it gets you in a crunch is what prevents other general managers from leaning on you in negotiations. This is exactly the type of stuff everyone loves about Wally Buono as a GM.

I really don't see us going OL in the first round now, if we have 4 picks in the top 20. You could go skill position at 2nd overall and draft 2 OL with the 11/15/20th picks and still come out with a great haul. Really depends on how things shake down at the combine, though.- Bombers trade Cory Watson to Saskatchewan
He was making "I'm a starting Canadian receiver on my 3rd CFL contract" money. AKA a lot.- Bombers trade Cory Watson to Saskatchewan
Cory Watson and the 26th overall draft pick in 2015 for 15th overall in 2015 and Kris Bastien. I like it.- 2 Weeks to FA - Atomic Top 5 NI Free Agents
Watt would be good. I'd say Sinopoli over Watt but I feel like him going to Ottawa is just a foregone conclusion.- How Many Starts

I'd describe myself as a casual observer. I spend a decent amount of time each week reading dirtsheets and results, just in case ... but I don't watch much anymore. Here's what I felt was wrong with the Rumble. - Awful storytelling. When the Wyatt Family reunited in the ring, it was kind of a cool moment. Until they had Bray and Harper turn on Rowan after like what ... 10 seconds? What was the point? Build that a bit more, use Rowan to do your bidding a bit (since you so easily manipulated him) and THEN turn on him. Pointless. - They sandbagged Ziggler, Cesaro, Ryback and Ambrose. Just awful booking. Made them look incredibly weak. - Incredibly predictable final 3 (or 4, whatever) and in 2015 if Kane / Big Show are in the final four of a Rumble ... you're doing it wrong. How are we supposed to believe either of them had even a minute chance? - Daniel Bryan. It's like they purposely made him look weak just to piss off the crowd. Eliminate him early, go ahead. I even get the idea of not having him in there very long if he's still not 100% health wise. But at least make his elimination more memorable. Yep, can't disagree with any of that. Except the Wyatt stuff. I don't think it was intended to be a reunion. I thought Rowan was coming down to fight them both. I thought so too. Then it looked like for a moment, they were going to reunite. Then it looked like Harper and Rowan were going to go after Bray. Then they attacked Rowan instead. It just made no sense. Total cluster****- CM Punk Signs with UFC
