  1. Oh boy another post by TBURGESS who cannot restrain himself from ignoring these threads. Quite simply, if you don't like the discussions about the media, stop reading them.
  2. Give. Me. A. ****ing. Break.
  3. Agreed. Our complaining is what raised his game. He actually came over to my house with some freshly baked muffins and apologized to me for not playing the way I wanted him to. What did he bring you?
  4. Durant is still a junior and is part of the 2016 Draft Class. Who are the three guys Duane Forde was referring to yesterday then that haven't declared for eligibility but will be top 10 guys when they do? I figured one would be Durant. Can't a junior opt into the draft from the NCAA if he is in his 4th year? He redshirted a year if I remember correctly.
  5. I know I've already posted in this thread acknowledging I know what you really meant by your thread title. But I'm going to pretend I haven't. "How much taller did they make him?" There, that's my new post in this thread.
  6. Underrated receiver.
  7. Grigsby has been winning me over and I think eventually he'll make a believer out of other people too. Let's consider this for a second - he is on pace to total 1577 yards per scrimmage. The only two guys who would have out totaled him last year would have been Cornish and Sheets. Not Gable. Not Harris. And this guy is a rookie. Also, consider this ... his average in the first half of the season per rushing carry was 4.2 yards. Nothing too impressive. Since then? His last 5 games, including the 10 carry for 7 yard abomination, he has averaged 5.5 yards per carry. He's improved by over a yard per carry. His blocking has improved ten fold. He has yet to turn the ball over this year. He's no longer dancing around in the backfield and getting caught for losses. Grigsby is legit.
  8. Few surprises on this list, expected to see a few names that didn't show up. Also, Varga is super talented, but I'm not sure if he'll be a CFL player. He seems to be interested in pursuing a medical career so it will be interesting to see what choices he makes going forward with football.
  9. So apparently Lemar Durant is NOT eligible for this year's draft. Thought he would be.
  10. 10. Dillon Guy, OL, Buffalo 9. Mehdi Abdesmad, DL, Boston College 8. Sukh Chungh, OL, Calgary 7. Jacob Ruby, OL, Richmond 6. Alex Mateas, OL, UConn 5. Daryl Waud, DL, Western 4. Danny Groulx, OL, Laval 3. Nic Demski, REC, Manitoba 2. Tyler Varga, RB, Yale 1. Brett Boyko, OL, UNLV
  11. 20. Rory Connop, DL, Western 19. Jake Harty, REC, Calgary 18. Tevaughn Campbell, DB, Regina 17. Ese Mrabure-Ajufo, DL, Laurier 16. Karl Lavoie, OL, Laval 15. Nicholas Shortill, LB, McMaster 14. Sean McEwen, OL, Calgary 13. Brandon Tennant, DL, Laval 12. Chris Ackie, DB, Laurier 11. Addison Richards, REC, Regina
  12. He's a freak of nature. I think one of the most overlooked things about the new facility is what it is going to do for the Bisons program. We are going to have the ability to see a LOT of future CFL players in Bison colors.
  13. The CSB list is expanding to a top 20 as well. Comes out in an hour.
  14. Depending on what the NFL thinks of some of these guys, it very well may be possible. But I think when it all shakes down, there are a LOT of skill position guys who could make an impact in this draft class.
  15. I certainly wouldn't. Makes no sense, we can't constantly be recycling talent for potential assets in the Canadian talent pool.
  16. Brohm will be a 4th rounder based on where we are in the season (was a 2-4 round pick based on games started). And yes I stated Portis was a conditional pick. I'm aware. I was clarifying for everyone else. Don't worry, we all know you said it first. Thanks for clarifying my message that was already clear. Please just get over yourself already, not every interjection or addition to information you are providing is meant to be a slight on you. You're one of the members on this site who contributes the most as far as information goes but the way you seek credit and want to be acknowledged for it is so tiring to deal with.

  18. The Brohm and Portis deals are both conditional picks.
  19. And just for the record this is a top 10 not top 15 Touche. Used to the list being top 15. lol
  20. Just for the record, these aren't the top 15 prospects in the CIS. These are the top 15 prospects to watch, which is a bit different. Either way, the Canadian Scouting Bureau list comes out today and I'm pretty curious about it. I'm expecting there to be a bunch of NCAA guys on there. Really REALLY deep draft class until the NFL starts sifting through it.
  21. Not worried about the end spot but the interior is troubling. Surprised we don't have a single DT on the PR.
  22. What big names is everyone talking about? Guaranteed the fans have a way different perception of what consitutes a big name than GMs do. Outside of Alex Hall and Chris Matthews, who is there? Phillip Hunt? ACL surgery ... hasn't been here in four years. Nearly 29 years old. Not really a big name anymore. Garrett McIntyre is almost 30 and hasn't been here in four years. Good luck getting him here to be a rotational guy. More cost efficient to bring in a fresh name. Damaso Munoz ... linebacking talent in the CFL is at a recent high right now, I doubt there's much interest. Who else is there? Israel Idonije? I get far more excited by additions like Greg Childs to Toronto than I would with the retreads we love to toss around here.
  23. Kromah forced both fumbles, I believe.
  24. The "unwritten rule" really only pertains to rookie Canadians. As for the rest of the practice roster, you make it sound far more simple than it actually is. You can't simply pluck somebody off a practice roster as you see fit. You essentially have to sign them to a new contract, which means negotiating with them. If they don't want to leave their current situation (and a lot of players don't) then they don't have to. On top of that, it's not just Winnipeg that needs Canadians. Every team needs Canadians. If these guys are stuck on a practice roster and not worth playing in a game, why would anybody else want them? Most teams are in the same desperate state at this point.
