  1. That's not true. If he goes down, then no whistle, then gets up and starts to run again and gets smoked...he is a running back...no penalty! I have no doubt at all their will still be a penalty. You can complain about it, but it will still happen. Yet you don't seem to comprehend why people are frustrated with the refereeing
  2. Bombers too high now
  3. That's a bit of a shock, if he was willing to sit on the practice roster why didn't we keep him here? He's willing to sit on the practice roster because he got upfront money.
  4. He was visiting Winnipeg on a vacation. He's still in college.
  5. The best part of that hurdle is how he double jumps off the guy's helmet. MCGUFFIE HYPE MACHINE ENGAGE
  6. Was just wondering this myself, if Beck starts, we're whooping em. The list of "backup" QBs that we've lost to over the last 20 years is so long I'm not wasting my time trying to think of all of them. We were so thrilled to face a green and inexperienced Travis Lulay. Loss. First ever start for Bo Levi Mitchell? This will be a cakewalk! Loss. Rocky freaking Butler? Hahahahahaha. Loss. Ha, we knocked Anthony Calvillo out of the game! Adrian McPherson? This thing is over! Loss. I'm quitting now before sadness sets in. Don't underestimate or disrespect your opponent. Beat your opponent. Actually thats why I asked. I hope we play Glenn cause I feel we actually have a better chance against him rather then a fresh young moblie QB looking to get noticed! Sounds as though Glenn wasn't too banged up anyways and will make the start Beck is anything but a young mobile QB. He's 32 years old and runs like he's wearing snowshoes.
  7. I can't wait for the first time he hurdles somebody. He's like a real life version of the way I play offense in Madden. Hurdle spam.
  8. McGuffie is probably going to play receiver. It's been a while since he played tailback.
  9. The CFLPA is just as much to blame as the CFL. Suspensions have to be negotiated into the CBA and as you may have noticed, the CFLPA has a long history of not wanting to agree to player suspensions because of the wage loss.
  10. Harris is the key to that offense. Shut him down and you should be okay.
  11. Of course we would be. There's nothing wrong with what Reilly did. I'd expect him to get up if he didn't hear a whistle. The point is there should have been a whistle. This is one of those arguments where you're obviously not going to get it, so we'll just leave it at that.
  12. No. They don't. Reilly slid. The play is supposed to be dead because he's giving himself up. There's no touch required in that situation. And to be honest, considering the way they flagged both Turner and Willis for such minor contact to a QB, I'm not sure the ref doesn't throw a flag if someone tags a QB after he slides.
  13. Every issue is a disaster.
  14. They must not have been pleased with his performance yesterday.
  15. The ball never went past Stamps. It was knocked down before it got to him.
  16. I knew we were hooped as soon as they could only get the 13th man flag halfway up the pole.
  17. He got the job because of injury and he's a very capable backup tailback but it's time to get Cotton a look.
  18. lol here we go. Willy has been exposed. As what? A quarterback who won't go undefeated?
  19. This. Especially the stutter steps. Just run straight ahead. You don't need to be dropping your shoulder to fake out a defender that is 5 yards away from you.
  20. Thought Sherman did a good job he just needs pointers. Flush your target inside, not out. He's getting better every game. I'd bench Grigsby.
  21. Apparently the "rule" is that he didn't give himself up because he didn't slide feet first. I don't know how it's written, but to me a slide is a slide and I guarantee you if someone had buried him, it would've been a 15. Definitely not the stupidest call by an official tonight though, which belonged to the guy who flagged Washington for belting Stamps in the end zone. Flag the play, not the result. Thought Odell Willis got tagged for one lame one too on Drew Willy. You can't hit a guy low, that doesn't mean you can't pull him down by his leg.
  22. I'd make some changes. Starting with Grigsby. Romby Bryant gave about as much effort tonight as I thought he would. Wouldn't change much else, aside from trading our offensive line for an offensive line that knows how to pass protect.
  23. That was definitely a bad call although I imagine you'll hear some people who think it was called right.
  24. If Randle picks one off today, my Twitter feed is going to explode.
