  1. I worked in Convergys in high school on weekends. We didn't care anywhere near as much as this guy.
  2. I know what I wouldn't take. A cell phone. No reception on Randle Island.
  3. Darrelle Revis is a corner in the NFL. The space he occupies on the field was/is called "Revis Island" Randle Island. #RandleIsland
  4. You must be stuck all by your lonesome away on #NoellerIsland
  5. So, let's say Bruce wins & gets $5 million in damages that's a hit of over half a mill per team. If it's upwards of $10 to $20 mill, you do the math. More? The floodgates will open. Keep laughin', guys. Who is laughing? I'd love to actually have a serious debate with you about this because it's a very interesting discussion, but I'm not even going to bother because I know the minute I disagree with you (which I do) you're going to take it personal. I stumbled across an old CFL forum the other day and I saw posts of yours from as far back as 2002. How have you managed to make it 12+ years online without being able to figure out that just because someone disagrees with you, it doesn't mean they're attacking you personally.
  6. Based on him actually filing this lawsuit, I'm pretty sure he does have some serious brain damage. I don't think it's the CFL's fault though.
  7. Excellent. Let's all thank MBRG for a wonderful suggestion!
  8. He's 10th in the league in receiving despite being 3rd on our team. I'd say he's doing just fine so far.
  9. Randle Island it is.
  10. $125,000. If that's what he is making ... worth it.
  11. Even though it has benefited us immensely so far, I honestly have to say this PI challenge stuff is ridiculous. Doug Brown is right, you can find what you're looking for on every single throw if you really want to.
  12. He'll be on the 2 man inactive roster. Cap savings that way.
  13. Benevides is losing it. Plus he looks like the A&W Bear.
  14. Just how good is this guy? Mike O'Shea called him "spectacular" the other day in his media availability. I know he pumps everyone's tires, but spectacular is a rare description for any player. Then, reading Gary Lawless' article on Kyle Walters this morning, here is what Walters said about Randle: He's been a force on special teams AND on defense so far. I'd go as far as to say he's been the best corner in the CFL this year. 4 tackles, 2 pass knockdowns and an interception in 3 games is phenomenal. I'd love to see someone pick apart the film and see just how often quarterbacks are trying to throw at him because from what I've seen, it's rare and I don't blame them. I don't know if he'll get any media love as a CFL all star by the end of the season, because I think teams are going to quickly learn that you just shouldn't throw at him. Big difference from the Jovon Johnson era where he made a lot of big plays ... for both teams.
  15. Serious home field advantage on second last play. 5 seconds left on the TSN game clock. Ball is snapped, 2.74 seconds go by before the game clock is started. Troy Smith has just released the ball when the clock actually starts. Play ends with 1 second left on clock. Should have been game over. Thankfully Stala wasn't very sticky.
  16. I'm not saying it's part of their contract or the CFL has a strict "cooperate with the media policy" (cause I can't find that anywhere in the info on the recently signed CBA). I am saying it's a curtesy or practice that has existed for generations and brushing it off like that seems trite. Not saying Chad hasn't done all kinds of interviews here or that he didn't have a legit reason for not talking to Bob. I guess it's just the way he presented it. "Sorry Boss" seems rather like a rather disrespectful way to me to talk to someone in the media, especially a legend like Irving. Why not just say I'm tired now can we set up a different time? I guess it's a class thing, some have it, others don't. IMO Chad could learn some from Bob. Seriously? Come on man. Calling somebody out on their level of class because they said "sorry boss" ... you must have some long arms with a reach like that.
  17. How exactly did he brush him off? Maybe Bob laughed it off, not sure though. How I read it, and I could be wrong, is when you look at the tweet it seems more like confusion on Bob's part rather than light hearted "oh that Chad" type of thing. It's almost like Bob is kind of saying in a subtle way "I guess Chad thinks he is more important than the game" IMO. Why he wouldn't make himself available when everyone else who has come up here to play has, is at least curious ... Chad Johnson has made himself incredibly available. He's been interacting with fans on Twitter ever since he got here, he's been to multiple events in the Montreal area (charity functions, etc) and he's granted interviews pretty much whenever he has been asked. So he didn't grant one the day before a game. Big deal. If this wasn't Bob Irving, nobody would care.
  18. How exactly did he brush him off?
  19. Your developmental QB doesn't have to be on the 44 man gameday roster.
  20. ... Chad Johnson has been awesome ever since he joined the CFL. You had a problem with him hugging a referee? Who are you, Roger Goodell? oh, and what's wrong with declining an interview? Even Bob Irving didn't seem to have an issue with it.
  21. I wouldn't say that at all. And the only reason you would say that is because of preseason expectations. We're into the season now, we've won and we've looked very strong doing it. Throw the predictions out the window, we're in a battle now.
  22. Hey, if it's based on weight alone, let's just trade BC for Ryan Cave so he can sneak the ball.
  23. Nailed it.
