Hahahaha QB Josh Portis from Toronto for a conditional draft pick.

I'm thinking Suber to Argos because I know Burke really liked him, and he's the Argos DC now. True, but after acquiring Dwight Anderson ... how much room do they really have? I didn't see a big need at DB to begin with for them, unless Drew Willy got a couple of them fired in week 1
-
I just don't see how Suber holds value. I'll be impressed if Walters gets anything for him, it's rare anyone wants to assume a vet DB's existing contract.

Roster players rarely seem to get traded. I doubt it's roster players going BOTH ways. Could we see Mulumba or Bilukidi get traded?

CFL Power Rankings - Bombers ranked 3rd!
Mike replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I can see it now. We'll win against Edmonton on Thursday. And then be ranked fifth next week. -
... and will be announcing it in 15 minutes. Let the speculation begin.

CFL Power Rankings - Bombers ranked 3rd!
Mike replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I figured the CFL would somehow find a way to put them fourth. -
I think most fans (myself included) should just stick with "we shouldn't be satisfied with our OL" and then leave it at that.

Never understood the fascination with dealing depth as soon as we acquire it.

Checked out his game logs. Definition of inconsistency in 2013. 66% completion rate. 1 game out of 11, he completed between 60%-70% of his passes. 80.6%, 55.6%, 59.6%, 90%, 85.2%, 51.3%, 56.5%, 72.2%, 59.4%, 74.2%, 61.7%

Montreal Game - Rules and strategic implications
Mike replied to ALuCsRED's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Is that the play where Lumbala fielded the ball with his knee on the ground? Hence, he wasn't actually taking a knee? -
I could be wrong, but I don't actually think this could happen. Like ... I don't think the results could end up in a situation where this would even be a question. All 5 teams in the West finish with better records than teams 2, 3 and 4 in the East? I'm not sure either, just asking. Yeah. I don't know the rule ... I don't know if there even is a rule because I don't know if the schedule possibly allows this. It's a good question.

Why would we do that?

Both teams have been lucky (or fortunate, whatever you prefer) to win a couple of their games. Winnipeg is the only one of the two that has really put the boots to another team and I'd say the quality of their competition has been tougher as well. Mike Reilly and Drew Willy have more or less been a wash. I'd definitely give the nod to Willy so far, but it's been close. Reilly is more of a threat on the run, Willy has been a more effective passer to this point. I don't think it's going to come down to the QB so much as it's going to come down to who plays better defense and who earns better field position. Both teams have some absolute ballers in the secondary and the defensive line. Edmonton's secondary with Burnett, Grymes and Watkins matches up well and I really do think this will be a game where not having Cory Watson will hurt us. I won't be surprised to see Willy rely on JFG and Nick Moore to move the chains in the intermediate game instead of trying to stretch the field. I think this would also be a good game to get Cotton AND Grigsby involved. The big hope for me is that we contain Bowman and Stamps. Bruce Johnson and Demond Washington will have a big task ahead of them but they've done a good job to date. Bruce Johnson especially. 6 tackles in the opener as he got picked on in his debut. He hasn't been giving much up since. Teams really are picking on Bucknor a little bit so let's hope he comes to play.

I'm absolutely nailing the QB, K and DEF spots each week and can't pick any god damn skill position players to save my life. -
Comparative analysis - How bad is the Bombers OL?
Mike replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Yes obviously there's more to it than just sacks given up when evaluating an OL, but this gives a pretty good indication of a teams ability to protect the QB. And obviously a QB with a quick release and a mobile QB will make an OL look better too. The Bombers OL gets a lot of bad press, when in reality it's middle of the pack...other teams give up sacks too. Very true. One of our members, TBieber, has taken to timing the seconds from snap to QB release during some games this year. I wonder if he'd have the results saved to share here. -
Comparative analysis - How bad is the Bombers OL?
Mike replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
So much more to it than just sacks. Holding penalties, QB hurries, how they're performing in the run game, etc. I'd say just based purely on watching the games, we're middle of the pack. I'm sure if you looked in depth at all the numbers, we'd grade out similarly. -
Nope, not other team's fan bases. Just this team's. Typical crap from you, no matter how much you try and insulate it with football discussion.

As per his own Twitter account, the former Cincinnati Bengals receiver has signed with the team.

Free Parking near the stadium? Does it exist?
Mike replied to Goalie's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
There is. Giant Tiger lot. -
I doubt the futures are any kind of pick. More likely a neg lister.

Because I think Dunn is a bad player who looks better because Randle is on his side of the field. Essentially, I don't think he should even be on the team... Ok. Why?
