  1. Nevermind, all aboard the CORNELL HYPE TRAIN!
  2. Cornell as a DT is semantics. He's probably got one scheme on D that calls for him to drop out of the DL into the flats. Seriously. He won't play much on D at all.
  3. Howard and Knapp switching. Interesting.
  4. Damn. I'm in LA next week, really wanted a way to watch it. Then again, I think I'm going to the Dodgers game and that kind of gets in the way. I'll just have to stick to updates on my phone.
  5. I think thats true with the exception of NI reciever. If you have two non import recivers starting there should be better better depth to back them up. I don't see Taylor Renaud or Brett Carter as fouth on the depth chart if there are suposed to be 2 canadian starting. Look around the league. The 4th NI receiver on teams that start 2 Canadians there isn't impressive anywhere. Edmonton's 4th NI receiver is Akeem Foster Toronto has Natey Adjei BC has Kito Poblah Saskatchewan has Scott McHenry or Alex Anthony The only guys who are anything proven are proven to be not very good. The rest, just like Brett Carter, are big question marks.
  6. That's very interesting that people want to cite a lack of depth. If anything, the team has received a great deal of support from their depth up to this point. Guys like JFG, Sherman, Fraser, Grigsby, Jake Thomas ... even Bruce Johnson if you want to really reach a bit. Those guys all started the year as depth. They've played well. No team can go down to 3rd or 4th on the depth chart and suffer no drop off.
  7. Feoli Gudino in, Aaron Kelly out, Moe Leggett in, Johnny Sears out.
  8. "Realistically" and basing things off one performance out of 4 doesn't really compute.
  9. That's not true. If he goes down, then no whistle, then gets up and starts to run again and gets smoked...he is a running back...no penalty! I have no doubt at all their will still be a penalty. You can complain about it, but it will still happen. Yet you don't seem to comprehend why people are frustrated with the refereeing
  10. Bombers too high now
  11. That's a bit of a shock, if he was willing to sit on the practice roster why didn't we keep him here? He's willing to sit on the practice roster because he got upfront money.
  12. He was visiting Winnipeg on a vacation. He's still in college.
  13. The best part of that hurdle is how he double jumps off the guy's helmet. MCGUFFIE HYPE MACHINE ENGAGE
  14. Was just wondering this myself, if Beck starts, we're whooping em. The list of "backup" QBs that we've lost to over the last 20 years is so long I'm not wasting my time trying to think of all of them. We were so thrilled to face a green and inexperienced Travis Lulay. Loss. First ever start for Bo Levi Mitchell? This will be a cakewalk! Loss. Rocky freaking Butler? Hahahahahaha. Loss. Ha, we knocked Anthony Calvillo out of the game! Adrian McPherson? This thing is over! Loss. I'm quitting now before sadness sets in. Don't underestimate or disrespect your opponent. Beat your opponent. Actually thats why I asked. I hope we play Glenn cause I feel we actually have a better chance against him rather then a fresh young moblie QB looking to get noticed! Sounds as though Glenn wasn't too banged up anyways and will make the start Beck is anything but a young mobile QB. He's 32 years old and runs like he's wearing snowshoes.
  15. I can't wait for the first time he hurdles somebody. He's like a real life version of the way I play offense in Madden. Hurdle spam.
  16. McGuffie is probably going to play receiver. It's been a while since he played tailback.
  17. The CFLPA is just as much to blame as the CFL. Suspensions have to be negotiated into the CBA and as you may have noticed, the CFLPA has a long history of not wanting to agree to player suspensions because of the wage loss.
  18. Harris is the key to that offense. Shut him down and you should be okay.
  19. Of course we would be. There's nothing wrong with what Reilly did. I'd expect him to get up if he didn't hear a whistle. The point is there should have been a whistle. This is one of those arguments where you're obviously not going to get it, so we'll just leave it at that.
  20. No. They don't. Reilly slid. The play is supposed to be dead because he's giving himself up. There's no touch required in that situation. And to be honest, considering the way they flagged both Turner and Willis for such minor contact to a QB, I'm not sure the ref doesn't throw a flag if someone tags a QB after he slides.
  21. Every issue is a disaster.
  22. They must not have been pleased with his performance yesterday.
  23. The ball never went past Stamps. It was knocked down before it got to him.
  24. I knew we were hooped as soon as they could only get the 13th man flag halfway up the pole.
