I think it's high time Chris Schultz started getting the opportunity to interview players during the week leading up to the game. "So Drew, I bet you'd agree from your time in the CFL that the best way to win a game is to put the ball in the end zone more than your opponent does, right?"

I'll go on the record and state I just don't like Romby Bryant and it has nothing to do with what football ability he may or may not have left. If Romby Bryant had told Mike Kelly to go fork himself in the locker room, I would've been suggesting we throw him a parade. But he quit on the field. Visibly gave up. I don't pay to watch guys living out their personal vendettas on the field. I also don't think it's fair to his teammates. If he wears the uniform again, I won't boo him but I won't be sad if he doesn't pan out and if he does, when he's replaced either.

I bet if you were to ask most of them what question they were planning on asking Willy, they'd give you a blank stare. "We don't know why we want him to be available but let's raise hell if he's not!"

Improving fan experience & traffic flow after games

We've been on the receiving end of too many fast shuffles between other teams (ie: Reilly, Collaros, Ray etc) to play nice. The other teams can go pleasure themselves. That's all well and good except for one thing ... we have first year Canadians on our practice roster too. If what another team has on their practice roster is significantly better than what we have, I say go for it. We've been eating dirt for too long- nice guys and all that. I don't think that's been the case at all, Joe Mack never really went after PR guys cuz he thought he could find better players on his own. You need a place to put these guys too, right now we don't have many openings if any actually. I'm sure Mack plucked someone off a PR and the other GM was p.o'ed about it.... can't remember who offhand wasn't that Dubuisson-Hyphenated? And didn't he try to claim somebody else too, a different time?

Roster spot is probably the least of our concerns. We're likely going to have 2 import OL on the 46 this week, so we could easily just take one of them off. But I think gbill hit on a salient point, the player has to agree to come here (or go to another team as well) .. and let's face it .. Winnipeg isn't the most attractive location league wide at the moment .. yes .. there are some positive things going on but .. when you are part of a perenial contender like Calgary .. Winnipeg is a hard sell. As for managing relationships amongst member teams .. it's a business .. and I wouldn't be in the business of offering up assets for a player I could potentially get for "free". It's a very good point but at the same time ... if you're a young OL, I'm selling you on three things in Winnipeg - game cheque, brand new facility, Bob Wylie.

Peach is a second year player, I'd say he's fair game. I'll be really surprised if nobody puts in a claim.

Bombers add national LB Kyle Norris to PR

3rd round draft pick last year. Not a bad choice. -
It's kind of an unwritten rule in the CFL that you don't pluck first year Canadians off a practice roster.
-
They're going to be in Winnipeg for the season opener too ... that's pretty sweet
-
It's Sunday, league offices are closed I believe. Besides that, PR claims aren't a fast process.

Silly complaint, who cares what the roster on a website says. Unamba and Dunn have been linebackers all throughout camp. 3 of those guys are Canadian special teamers. Suddenly 11 is 6, right where it should be.And neither guy should be lining up at LB but with that logic, any DB on the roster could play LB'er which is what this defence is being constructed around, never mind that our only Nat DE isn't and weighs less than Kuale. Gotta love the smaller faster theme which has been taken to a whole new level. Says who? You? Dunn has never played anything but LB in this league. But because a roster that means nothing says that's what he is, that's what he is?
-
You mean aside from DT...? And one backup for two NI REC spots... Sure, according to some, we should disregard what the roster is telling us and just assume that guys can play any position. No what you should do is stop pretending a roster for fan consumption is some kind of end all be all determining factor on where guys are capable of playing.
-
I sure as hell wouldn't.
-
Also I'm going to go out on a limb. Bruce Johnson is going to take Suber's spot permanently
-
Apparently Ford is going to play. Looking at that roster, I see a lot of potential. Few holes. Few question marks. Really don't like Dunn or Kuale. Other than that, I'm optimistic.

On defense maybe. On offense? Not so much.
-
I'd look at Lawrence. Competition for Dunn maybe.
-
My preference ... Leggett at nickel, Sears at safety, Johnson at half.
