Yes, it sucks for Lucas, big time…what a huge disappointment.
*Also sucks for kicker Brett Maher…his chances just slipped lower….for now.
Why would Maher be affected at all?

Trade Hamilton for the rights to Evan Gill immediately. He'd play here.

As far as the ratio goes ... if we weren't going 4 OL before, we probably will be now. Or you swing a trade with Hamilton for a DT.

Kirk Penton @PentonKirk
Ryan Lucas is done for the year with a torn ACL. Mike O'Shea started tearing up when talking about it. #Bombers
I love O'Shea. His players are going to go to absolute war for him.

That sucks, I feel for Lucas. He worked hard to come back from his injury last year and now this?

Unburger isn't Unburger anymore.
It's Nuburger now.

CFL should bump their offer up to 5.1 mil to start with 75k bumps every year, taking it to 5.4 mil in the 4th year of the deal. Move down the revenue protection number from 27 mil to 25 mil. Get to the table with those numbers, hash out the remaining issues, and be done with it. At this point the CFLPA will likely accept any positive movement from the CFL.
When the players are ready to cave the CFL will throw in one last bone - that way the players can take a positive talking point to the press rather than just admit they lost.
I'm not getting the whole neurologist thing. If we had catscan machines on the sidelines that would be one thing, but there is nothing a neurologist is going to do that a non-crappy doctor can't also do. Emergency sideline brain surgery?
Symptoms present? Don't go back in the game. I know the NFL has it but that isn't anything more than a multi-billion dollar industry protecting it's butt from lawsuits.
Might have helped Tim Burke last year.

Cibo on Waterfront was really good, really great prices too for what you got. Only thing that was weird ... I don't know if we went in the middle of a shift change but there were more staff than customers in the building and only like 2 or 3 of them actually appeared to be working, which is awkward when the whole thing is open concept.
*FINALLY* going to Myers Deli on the weekend. Will report back.
Other than that, I usually don't frequent unique places so that's it for me.

Yeah, for me personally, instead of having the negative first reaction of "everyone's a jerk", I'd probably assume that there's a fair and logical reason for why they wanted people in a certain area....
I wasn't trying to jump over the security sash. Or sit anywhere I didn't sit two days ago. Wasn't wandering around, off exploring. Wanted sunlight. No construction in the area. Just stopping in for 20 minutes on a beautiful summer day, the only 20 minutes I'll spend outside until I get home from work. Didn't want to sit in the cold shadows. Sun on my face, feeling happy for 20 minutes. That's all. I get it, you're posting from 2 provinces away and aren't familiar with the setup at the new stadium. I would have been sitting right by security. If I caused any trouble they wouldn't even have to move to tackle me, just lean forward and let gravity do the work.
Was there last summer...very familiar. Point is, instead of assuming the world is out to get you, why not assume that there's a fair and logical reason for their actions?
I think what he's implying is that whatever their logical reason is for doing that doesn't seem to be all that logical.

Day 4 kicks off ... anyone in attendance?

I don't hate him, I just don't think he's what you hope for out of an import receiver. A new scouting staff should be able to produce better than that.Kelly is a good player, Mike just has a hate on for the guy for no real reason.
Any reports from Riderville on how Jade Etienne is doing.
And from the reports in which we can take with a grain of salt it appears Kelly is excelling over most of the new guys.
Should we be pleased that Kelly is stepping up or do we look at this as a red flag at our recruiting ability?
Could be any number of things. Maybe he got better. Maybe he's not actually doing as well as fans think. It'll take us game action to know for sure.

What's the current average number of padded practices per week?
Like 1.5 a week I think.

They should get that dude they had on the panel on the night of the CFL Draft

Have to say, I'm a little disappointed in Penton.
Sean Oleksewycz @seanoleksewycz
@PentonKirk @mike_wpg i know that bama head coach nick saban does that same thing at bama... Cant argue with that guy
Kirk Penton @PentonKirk
@seanoleksewycz We're talking about professional sports organizations
MIKE @mike_wpg
@PentonKirk @seanoleksewycz NCAA coaches are professionals and that's what you're talking about - coaches. No difference.
Kirk Penton @PentonKirk
@mike_wpg No, I'm talking about pro sports versus college sports. They're big boys who can handle themselves
MIKE @mike_wpg
@PentonKirk @seanoleksewycz so you're implying NCAA coaches aren't "big league" compared to CFL? and they can't handle themselves?

Does anyone know which other CFL teams employ this method of communication?
Huff in Calgary...
Milo in Tor? (suspected)
Jones in Edm? (suspected)
I would guess Austin is the same way in Hammy
Penton is trying to claim NOBODY does it.

Funny that the only negative stories about Miller and O'Shea were both written by Friesen. The Bombers under Miller, Walters and O'Shea have bent over backwards for the media but that hasn't had any effect on how Friesen writes about the team.
Exactly. The team has become far more friendly and Friesen is still shitting on them for adopting a policy that is used by almost half the league.
I'd have a lot more respect for him if he said he didn't like the policy as opposed to acting as if it's an incredible mistake.

I have to be honest, this doesn't really surprise me. I'd love for them to take the approach that you can make all Canadian talent fit but I think if there were a player who was the definition of anti-Etcheverry, Ted Laurent would be close to it. I don't agree with the decision to not go after him, but I'm not really surprised.
