  1. Not in the CFL. So the girls that appear at community events get paid nothing? That's not what I heard... Not only do they get paid nothing, they have to complete a minimum amount of hours per season.
  2. What I'd do ... pick Foucault What I think they'll do ... pick Foucault or Smith If Lavertu is available, pick him 100% If neither Foucault or Lavertu are available, pick Smith
  3. Remember Jason Vega is back with the Bombers this season too. He'll be a mainstay on the DL as well... Vega is an end.
  4. January is a B- guy for an import, B if he was Canuck. Greaves is still learning - should be a B+ canuck but in current dismal system he's only a B, Morley is reallly bad (too slow), a C- canadian at best, Pencer & Swiston remain un-graded due to lack of action - if only one of them could be a solid B to B+ starter. Neufeld was seen as a B to B+ guy in waiting in Sask'n but injuries have riddled him. If he's all healed up and top shape lets hope he's better than C+, perhaps B to B+ starter. Biggest problem for O'Shea - we ain't got no A o-linemen; not even an A- guy. I can't possibly understand someone being able to give out grades on offensive linemen they've never seen play. You can't expect anyone to believe you're able to form an accurate opinion on an offensive lineman from a television.
  5. If Petan was 6 feet tall, he would've been a top 10 pick.
  6. I'm curious to see what comes of this because Kevin Smith is ULTRA talented. But injury issues is putting it lightly. The guy has a reputation for getting hurt by a stiff wind.
  7. The thing about Quinn Smith ... and I'm just going off secondhand information ... is that he was always hovering in that 15-20 range of the rankings, it's not like he was off the radar completely. The problem he had is that he was playing on an absolutely awful team.
  8. ^^ agreed
  9. Don't like that comment at all. No pressure kid.
  10. Only posted my mock draft yesterday and I'm already starting to doubt it. It could be a giant smokescreen but the interest Ottawa has in Quinn Smith seems to be very real. Could they take him 1st overall?
  11. James Franklin and Jamies Winston are two of them.
  12. Bold predictions, better be careful putting yourself out there like that, it's a long fall if you're wrong. I like to live dangerously.
  13. I predict that CFL teams will have as many wins as they do losses, the league will have some new faces making an impact, there will certainly be a few guys who get hurt and lots of players will either exceed or fail to live up to expectations. Other than that, I have no idea.
  14. It's a different Jason Barnes.
  15. I don't know what to do with Goossen. I don't like him, but the need for OL prospects has him going high in my mock draft. I wouldn't personally touch him in the first round, but I just can't see him getting by Edmonton or at worst, Hamilton.
  16. Quite frankly, as much as you'll see movement that mirrors the thoughts of executives, trying to make pinpoint rankings off this list is pointless. The list is full of smoke and mirrors. Probably but what about all the complaining in the past few years about our supposed off the board picks then? The draft ratings don't count that much in your opinion? Put it this way ... how accurate is the list when you're essentially asking 9 teams to rank the players they're going to be fighting over in less than a month?
  17. You can never have enough non import tackle prospects. If Lavertu is off the board, Foucault should be the guy. Neither guy would start right away. They wouldn't even be asked to do so. Meaningful reps? Sure. Full time reps? Not a chance. That'd be a big reach. "Off the board" is some term people throw around and I never quite get why. They don't like Goossen but what if they did? If they had him ranked as the second best player, would they pass on him just because some bullshit list says he is ninth? Executives should have some self respect and not let their actions be dictated by the opinions around them.

  19. A lot of what I expected to see did end up happening ... Landry, Caron and Goosen were three guys I was expecting to see drop and I figured Pruneau and Ainsworth were in for a stock boost, but I have to admit I didn't expect to see Foucault go over Lavertu, Menard to show up in the top 15 and I certainly didn't expect to see Quinn Smith jump THAT high. Maybe he will go that high, I have to admit I didn't see much of him at Concordia so it's hard for me to have much of an opinion. I just didn't expect a combine performance that seemed like it came out of nowhere to have so much bearing. But if his game film got a closer look after that performance, maybe he's worthy of the jump.
  20. Glad to see Goosen dropping, it's something that was bound to happen. Personally, I don't see him in the discussion for the 2nd overall.
  21. That's actually why I picked Coombs... Maybe a bit far-fetched, but he gives us at least the option to start with a line of January-Greaves-Saulsberry-Pencer-Jones The content on our OL looks so bad right now, that I would sacrifice a bit of the run game (although Coombs is no slouch) Picking Coombs give us someone to contribute mainingfully right away while buying us time for Pencer et al to develop Then again, if they pick Goossen, I'm not going to flip out. If you think Coombs is going to step in to the CFL and become a feature back as a rookie Canadian, you are going to be sorely disappointed. I really like Coombs and he's got some solid potential, but he's not going to be a precedent setter at the Canadian RB spot.
  22. It's incredibly unreasonable. And I'm a Kane fan.
  23. But who's going to coach the quarterbacks?
  24. You sure do love jumping the gun.
