Well, thats odd.. Why we mining where we already stuck out? Did walters think moll was a bad judge of talent or were they planning on being out that way anyway... Strange. It was at a combine where they performed drills in front of a number of teams, including the Bombers. But hey, you gotta look everywhere.

Bombers trade for QB Brian Brohm; cut Justin Goltz

Pretty much, Alex Hall and a 2nd round pick for Neufeld and Brohm... ... not really. -

so you are blaming Walters for Mack's mistake? What were we supposed to do? Wait for Hamilton to cut him and go into TC with only two QB's? Nope, not at all... just wondering what we had to give up... Besides, I'm a Taman apologist... Walters is acting just like Taman, can't really criticize him too much Probably ranges anywhere from a 7th rounder to a 3rd. Scratch that -- bottom end is a 4th, all depending on playing time. -

Don't know about that, but Joe Mack was eyeing him. He was on our negotiation list as recently as April 2013 but we opted to sign Chase Clement instead. We even worked him out once or twice. -
as per Darren Cameron's twitter account. Hamilton receives conditional 2015 draft pick.

The CFL B List? Then why do you watch? No one is forcing you. Find another sport you can grumble about salaries while calling the CFL bush. Who needs you? Hey the North American Lacrosse League needs fans & they pay their players peanuts so it's right up your alley. Go follow it. Why does acknowledging that the CFL doesn't have the best football players in the world mean he shouldn't watch it? It's not what Atomic said it's how he said it. Big difference. The CFL is the one league in the ******* world that the players are in the community interacting with fans in all kinds of different ways. Most basically play for the love of the game & he's bitching about salaries? And advocating that owners should get tough with the players to the lpoint of shutting down the season in 2014?? Hell, 3 teams DON'T EVEN HAVE ANY OWNERS as they're community owned.... Nope, I don't take back what I said. I know the NFL has better players but at the same time if you are a true fan you appreciate what you have which is still pretty damned good. I don't see how you can possibly get annoyed with the way I talk to you sometimes and then still think you're justified in talking to Atomic the way you did in this string of quotes. He's not exactly saying anything that's untrue. Nor is he saying anything that should be offending you to the point that you're telling him he shouldn't watch the CFL. To a certain extent, a lot of these guys are replaceable. Some of them aren't, but most are. The owners have a good chance to make the league financially stable and while I definitely think that the players deserve their fair share of the new revenue, it shouldn't be an overwhelming amount.

CJ Tarver and Austin Coleman ... they're short little return guys from middle of nowhere colleges. Intriguing but let's keep in mind, the CFL would be the highest level of football this guy has played by a mile. Oddly enough, Tarver and the QB they worked out ... AJ McKenna ... both of them were worked out by Ken Moll last year and didn't get a contract offer.

Are you actually going to contribute something to this thread or just crack jokes in and among all the serious posts being made? Just wondering. It's borderline offensive.

Weird thread.

Eskimos release Alexander (Now Signed with the Bombers)

Who? How come they were not outraged by him being traded. Is that really the basis for your argument or are you just playing silly bugger? -
Eskimos release Alexander (Now Signed with the Bombers)

Because Friday. Because offseason. -

^^ general discussion sub-forum, Terry. I'm not even sure which way I lean on this. I feel like it's ridiculous that someone who beheads a guy and eats parts of them could ever be released. But without fully understanding the finer points of mental health and what kind of effect it can have on people, I think it's impossible for me to say I take a 100% stance on either side of the fence.

He chose to not take his meds? I didn't know that, I thought he was just undiagnosed prior to the crime.

As long... Can you guarantee he'll stay on his meds? In 1988, I was a Unit Assistant at the Health Sciences Centre. I came on duty at 0600. I was assigned to the Emergency Dept for my shift. There was a guy in restraints tied to a bed down the hallway from the nursing station. He had come in a few hours earlier that night. He was schizophrenic. Apparently his dumb ass girlfriend convinced him he didn't need to take his meds anymore & now he was supposedly hearing voices & seeing things. He created a ruckus in Emergency & injured 2 security guards before he was overpowered & put into restraints. My job was to stay with him that room all by myself & make sure he wasn't able to do any more harm. I wanted the guy to sleep through my whole shift. Pretty scary scenario if he ever got out of his restraints. They were in the midst of transferring him to the Psych Ward at St Boniface Hospital when I came on duty. I watched him for about 4 hours before he was taken away. That was a schizophrenic who was off his meds & injured 2 security guards, one pretty severely who needed to be hospitalized. What if Li does the same thing & goes off his meds? At first I had a reaction similar to yours. But now I don't agree. He committed a horrible crime, but he was found not responsible. If he's found not responsible and by all accounts, he's been a model patient within the hospital and someone with a ton of remorse for what has happened ... I say as long as he's in care, he's welcome to certain freedoms.

Kohlert goes to the WR spot problem solved. He played there last year.
-
Maybe he wants to have more kids? lol his wife is actually pregnant again. Saw both of them at Buck's wedding social on Saturday.
-
I'm sure he has a bright future ahead of him. He will make a road construction company very happy one day when they hire him as an orange cone.

I'd rather drive a Ferrari than a Corolla.

You really think Andrew Jones or Myddelton would be an improvement here? I don't.
-
I'm not excited, because it doesn't necessarily mean we landed Wylie. Makes me a bit nervous, to be honest.
-
Arland Bruce? No thank you. I'd love it from a nostalgia standpoint but other than that, I'm good.

Same thing every time with you. Why aren't you ripping BC? They struck out on every player they wanted. Rip Saskatchewan for losing Sanders, Butler and Schmitt. Every time someone signs in this league, another team or more loess out. Get used to it. No team gets everybody they want. Rip Wally? Winningest coach in CFL history & uber successful GM? Walters & O'Shea only hope to win half as many games as Buono has the past 25 years. Sask built their team to win a GC at home & now they're up against the cap. Their 1 year gamble paid off. Somehow I knew you'd come after me even though everyone else kept the discussion civil. Why don't you just hit ignore if you find peoples comments not to your liking all the time? I won't miss you. You won't miss me. So,please, go ahead.. You're always getting PO'd about something. Not uncivil at it. Just suggesting you would benefit by tempering your expectations. The thing people often forget when free agency comes up is that the teams don't decide who they sign. The players do. It's not up to us. You could have a free agent that 6 teams want and they all handle everything properly with the negotations. He's still only going to sign one contract. The players decide where they sign, but the teams decide what they are offering. ISO's simply suggesting that we offer more, because we have to, to get more of the players we want. Personally, McCune isn't where I'd spend a lot. I'd save it for the Laurent sweepstakes, but ISO's point remains. To get players to ignore the 3-15 season and the rookie GM/HC and the poor O line and the first time starting QB, we are going to have to pay them more than other teams. And when we offer that, but they still elect to go somewhere else because of a million other factors -- compatibility with coaches, location, role on the team, etc -- then what? I agree with you and Iso when you say we need to offer more money. It's obvious that's what Walters thinks too because we outbid anybody on Nick Moore AND Craig Butler. But as you can see, it's just not all about the money.

A Look at the Blue Bombers Offensive Line
Mike replied to JuranBoldenRules's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I posted it on Twitter yesterday through our site account and I plan to do the same thing every time he posts a new entry. CFL_News is a good account to spread the word too, they have over 10k followers.
