No, it's essentially a new contract but it's deemed an extension because technically, his existing contract was overwritten seen as how it didn't expire until Monday.

Hall really isn't that bad, he definitely appeals to me as a backup.

I'm not really that high on him, I just think that if they're going to go 3 NI receivers, even if a guy like that is semi useful, you can put him at the boundary WR and put those rebounding skills to use.

I know they want to bring Alli into camp. Could be Poblah 2.0 but could also be a starting NI receiver right out of the gate.

If that's how he thinks business is done, he'll quickly develop a reputation that is just as bad as the one we have now. We're trying to rebuild our image as an appealing football club to join up with. Signing guys only to cut them a year later for no reason other than money troubles is not how you establish that.

BS you can only subtract from your roster at this time of year... Esks lost Krausnick to Ottawa and then signed Baboulas just a few days ago to shore up their depth at Centre. Plus Dublanko as an ST addition. I'd certainly take Baboulas over Kowalczuk. Nothing wrong with taking a look at where we stand this year as opposed to this time last year... see where we stand with FA coming. Sorry, I stand corrected. You can make acquisitions of spare parts that were discarded by the rest of the league too.

It's kind of a strange time to start a ratio discussion. This is literally the worst time of year to look at a roster. All you can do is subtract from your roster at this point, you can't add any new certainties to it until a week from now.

The best way to get a player to return to your franchise after an NFL stint is to alienate them and make them feel as unwanted as possible on their way out.

There's really no contradiction. Giving up a second round pick in a draft that isn't very deep doesn't mean he should just throw away the 2nd overall pick. The draft isn't deep, that doesn't mean there is ONE good player.

That sounds like a real pain in the butt.

Anyone saying the Burris deal could be a bargain when the cap goes up is forgetting that there's about a 99.9% chance he's got a stipulation in his deal that the value goes up if the cap goes up.
