But it seems like once a dude hits 5+ years tenure with a club, there are certain posters who just assume that player should transition to coaching. 'Certain posters' is actually the most overused term on this forum... JoLo and Edwards seem like they would be good coaches... don't remember suggesting anyone else. So, you don't think Edwards should be transitioned to a coach/mentor type of position...? I think someone should probably ask him to see if he even wants to.

Butler, no doubt. But if we're out on him (as I suspect we are) then I would have to say the guys I'd really like to see us take a shot at would be Ted Laurent (when/if he starts listening to CFL offers), Swayze Waters and Jock Sanders.

Randle, Kohlert, Newman and Moore. Not a bad day at the office for the Bombers. I'm sure it doesn't need to be pointed out, but what are the odds Korey Banks DIDN'T have anything to do with bringing Moore here?

Curious as to why. He did everything he was asked last year considering the circumstances did he not? I don't think he's a bad receiver. I just think we can do better. I mean really, everyone talks about him like he was some legit weapon but really, his production as a whole was nothing special. He made some spectacular catches, but in terms of yards per game, his stats only projected out to a 650 yard performance over 18 games. As far as YPG goes, he wasn't even in the top 5 on our team. Edwards, Kohlert, Etienne, Watson and Denmark all outproduced him.

You think a guy that couldn't crack the worst starting OL in the league was an UPGRADE in Winnipeg? And Andrew Jones? I don't get it. I understand our OL isn't satisfactory, but this idea that you have where every lineman on any other team is an upgrade for no apparent reason baffles me.

So let's say we have Moore. What do we do? WR - Denmark SB - Moore SB - Watson SB - Kohlert WR - ??? Or do we put Denmark in, Kohlert at wideout? I don't even know what to expect. Yet another year I could see Denmark being tested in camp.

If nothing else, us bringing in Moore would show people that we're serious about being participants in free agency. He isn't a guy nobody else wanted.

I guess in one sense ... it does make sense for Winnipeg to go after a big name receiver. I'm sure it doesn't really matter but it probably helps Willy establish himself by giving him a guy who has proven he can go for 1000+

I don't know if I'd say Moore is overrated. He's a good receiver. I just don't know if you have to pay for good receivers.
