  1. Or you could just, you know ... not be such a whiner when someone replies to your strongly worded opinion with strong words. Whiner? Whatever you think, dude, You don't reply. Look in a mirror before you criticize anyone else. Not sure what you're getting at. All I'm saying is your opinions come across as very matter of fact and concrete, but whenever anyone replies to you with the same tone, you go off on this tangent like the one that starts this string of quotes. I don't know why you choose to get all up in arms about it, I'm not attacking you, I'm just replying to you in the exact same tone. At the end of the day, this is the internet. You need to just relax a smidge.
  2. Garrett runs angry. Simpson runs angry. Ford does not run angry.

  4. Let's not all forget that we got a 3rd rounder in exchange for a 5th rounder in that trade.
  5. Why? Because you say so? lol I don't get why you feel like when someone else has a point they're making, you're the first one to demand source materials or some kind of proof but you just think it's okay that your argument can be "because I say so" Burris isn't hitting free agency because he's a hot commodity that will instigate a bidding war. If he hits free agency, it's because the team that had him doesn't want him. It's the same as with any player who is declined an offer by their old team. They don't hit the open market with much, if any, leverage to command whatever they want.
  6. I don't necessarily think that's true. Where's his leverage?
  7. Must still be in the hunt for Bob Wylie, as disappointing as that is.
  8. I don't know. Not a big deal or whatever, but I certainly wouldn't say it's likely. It's probably a realistic option, but I don't see anything in there that would make me think it's necessarily the primary or likely one. EDIT: just for the record, I don't doubt that maybe it IS the primary option. I just don't get that from the tone of this article.
  9. I would assume the plan would include trying to go after Drew Willy too or bring in a prospect of our own, but I still want Collaros. How are we going to win a late season home game in frigid Winnipeg with Burris as our QB? By the way, I don't think this thread title is that accurate. Penton says a source told him three people think Burris goes to Winnipeg. What three people? Are those three people more in the know than the people who form the group that allows Penton to make the statement that "the thinking is Collaros will head to Winnipeg"? This article just seems like another attempt by Penton to stir things up. I'll wait until February 15.
  10. I'd like to see Gilmore back just because I'm convinced he'd turn into a beast if he actually got some PT.
  11. I realize that. My question was did he re-sign during the season, or originally sign for 3 years? Dude, get over it. He's not a pending free agent. pretty sure he signed for 3.
  12. Hard to disagree, but every team needs those guys.
  13. slow clap.
  14. My biggest knock is that he's got a silly last name.
  15. I know not everyone will be a fan of this, but I am. Good resigning.
  16. This logic doesn't fly with me. We should be worried about the prospect of a player going to the NFL in 2-3 years? What are the odds he makes it? And on the flip side of your proposal, what's to say Drew Willy doesn't get a NFL look if he's successful with our club?
  17. 2014 season slogan?
  18. And that's the real sticking point isn't it .. as much as the fans deserve and need a winner .. we also need to look for sustainability .. to have a long term view of what to do at that position .. are we patient enough to see any plan through to fruition? We as in management? or we as in the fans. Because I think each question has a different answer.
  19. Upper deck 55 yard line
  20. We have a couple things to attract a QB.... namely a starting job and an open checkbook. this defeatist attitude is crazy. "what do we have to attract a QB" Gimme a break.
  21. What number is above first?
  22. We shouldn't be basing our decision off who will be better today behind our OL (which, btw, is NOT as bad as many think) We should be basing our decision off who will be the best QB for us long term.
  23. ??? Nothing wrong except that he could have at least tried to play the field. Anyway, with what we now know about Mack, I don't think it would have mattered anyway, Seleepy Joe wouldn't have got the job done anyway, even if Reilly had given us a shot at signing him in FA. I think that players need to look at all options and do what is best for them. In that regard I will be sad if Collaros signs with someone else, but I'll understand that he and his agent weighed all options and did what was best. I didn't get that feeling with Reilly, I think he had tunnel vision for Edmonton, and look how that worked out, the guy is lucky to be alive right now. Of course, so is Max Hall. I'm sure he did decide to do what is best for him. I just don't think he needed to hear a formal offer from Winnipeg (or any other club) to decide.
  24. Nothing wrong with Reilly doing that. Would you be calling Reilly stupid if we were the only team he looked at? Doubtful.
