  1. Look at the reaction to what I’ve said compared to the reaction to what you’ve said. I don’t really care whether you value my opinion or not. It wasn’t my opinion. It was me telling you to stop being an idiot and getting on Bluto’s case for literally no reason.
  2. Or you could just stop being an idiot. Not that difficult. Literally no reason to go after Bluto, he doesn’t deserve it. You’re smart enough to know the difference between someone who has earned the heat and someone who hasn’t. Act like it.
  3. Speaking of his own team’s forum posters being embarrassed, going at Bluto like this for suggesting you debate the guy instead of just screaming bloody murder because he’s making a very debatable argument is quite embarrassing. Literally no reason to take shots at Bluto. He’s right.
  4. I know it’s not a glamorous area for most guys but our already mediocre special teams depth got absolutely pillaged today. We’re going to have to hope guys like Jake Kelly, Bret McDougal and a few others are ready for those roles.
  5. I think there’s probably still some cash available to make some moves, but it doesn’t have to come 4 hours into free agency. I do have concerns with going into the season with so many question marks on D and special teams, so I hope we clean up there a bit.
  6. I’m not necessarily disagreeing with you, but my counter point would be to ask if you’re paying as close attention to the pieces those other teams have lost as well
  7. Oh god Colin, just leave the arguing to the adults
  8. Why are you guys even keeping this guy engaged in a conversation? You’re keeping him from his sister, let him live.
  9. The best way for me to try and think of the Ouelette money is through a lens of “would I have been happy if the Bombers paid him that money” and if we lost Brady, I think my answer would’ve been yes
  10. He might argue differently. Not a bad dollar amount for a guy who isn’t a bellcow. This is one of those “sounds about right” deals to me.
  11. 160k a year for Ouelette. Not great, not terrible.
  12. The agent wouldn’t be keeping that quiet
  13. Chances are if you’re not being told, it’s because SSK got themselves a deal.
  14. Walker sounds like he’s leaving football behind
  15. Players are coming to the CFL because it beats getting a 9-5. Do you think everyone who enters the league makes responsible choices in every aspect of their life? There are absolutely guys who sign contracts thinking “wow this sure beats having to apply for full time jobs, I’ll **** around for now and figure it out later”
  16. Dalton Schoen (which is what I was asking about earlier) not being named one in 2022 should tell you everything you need to know.
  17. Did you see his interview this year on the first day of training camp? 😂
  18. Don’t tell him then
  19. I’m sure he loves basketball and just hates most of the work that goes into it outside of the 48 minutes of game time lol
  20. Lots of guys just play because they’re good at it, not because they enjoy it. Most of them just won’t say it out loud because of the fan reaction lol it’s just the reality of things, I’m sure lots of lawyers/doctors/whatever else don’t love their job either. To suggest otherwise is just oblivious. Just because pro sports gets glamorized doesn’t mean everyone who participates enjoys it. Hell, I have a good job that pays me on par with all but the high end CFL players but I’m not excited to be the best at it and I sure as hell wouldn’t do it for free. It’s just a job.
  21. I mean, yeah … you’re meeting them at coaching clinics. Do the math, those aren’t typically the guys who just view football as a job and nothing more. You don’t think it’s a reality for players? Look at Nikola Jokic in the NBA. 2 time MVP, defending champ. Hates basketball.
  22. Let’s not forget the age difference, which is massive when you’re discussing an introduction to pro football. Haba played most of his games before he turned 24 years old. I’d expect him (and Garbutt who I don’t think is much different) to take a little more time to acclimate than a guy like Fox (obviously not a direct positional comparison) who just turned 27. I personally like Jamal Woods to beat out Fox in camp.
