  1. I think that he's making a lot of reasonable decisions that will probably appear as conflicts of interest, but that doesn't necessarily make them bad choices. If Buchko brought in Worman or Fisher, I wouldn't be complaining. So why would I complain if Miller does it? As long as he's capable of making both kinds of hires, I'm fine.
  2. Here's Burke effectively throwing every player we don't retain this offseason under the bus So what he's saying is that he's not going to name names and now people are just free to assume that anyone who doesn't return could be because of poor work ethic.
  3. Well that'd be awfully ironiclol touche.. but burkes only been a hc for how long? mistakes are to be expected unfortunately.. Burke's been a head coach for longer than the majority of our roster have been pro football players. i dunno, guys who go thru big colleges are trained to be "pros" living by certain restrictions and acting a certain way.. you pull the same stuff as a pro in college, you get the boot.. i get you despise burke and his HC ability thus far but you gotta admit, he is (was?) not in the best position for success.. he would have to been an outstanding head coach to have any.success with the bullshit that has gone on here in the the last 2 seasons.. rarely. As for Burke, he has himself to blame for a strong majority of this team's issues.
  4. false. No kidding lol 1 out of 3 seasons and it was his first
  5. Just thought this was worth mentioning ... For all this talk about how bad our team is and if we're really right for assuming the staff is the issue, all that discussion as to whether the problem is the staff or the players ... There are now three players on other rosters in the CFL who were originally on our negotiation list but refused to play for this franchise because of apprehension due to the current staff that is in place. DE Eric Norwood on Hamilton, good rotational guy in his first CFL season. Very Kenny Mainor-esque. WR Jeff Fuller on Calgary, I'm sure we'd love to have a 6'4" receiver going across the middle like this guy has so far DE Aaron Maybin on Toronto, waited almost two years for this guy to show an interest in the CFL and then when he finally did, he said "sure, but not in Winnipeg" and now the former first round NFL pick is in Toronto
  6. So you really have no idea, you just don't think the optics are right?
  7. I'm actually pretty pumped for this. Good for the club and the city. Hopefully we're fielding a CFL team by then.
  8. I found a copy of his shit list. Found here: http://bluebombers.com/roster/index/team/5
  9. Denmark, no. Max Hall, yes. Muamba and Jade ... those are raw first round picks who start with a base of what is basically zero. Of COURSE they're going to improve. What about our imports?
  10. Please name one player who has improved under Burke's watch.
  11. If Burke gets to stay on with the club ... I don't even know how I'd react. Probably ... followed by followed by
  12. I'd be more than happy to see them all go. And why is Cameron necessarily a good member of the board? Because he booted footballs for us? I have no idea whether he's a valuable member of the board or not but his resume as a carpenter and a punter doesn't mean he's a lock to keep around.
  13. Well that should give immunity to exactly 0 of them.
  14. I honestly would have gone Calgary - Jones Saskatchewan - Heenan Edmonton - no clue BC - Olafioye Winnipeg - Greaves (maybe January) Montreal - LBJ Hamilton - Wojt Toronto - Van Zeyl
  15. it's a really, really weird list of nominees this year at MOL
  16. PS .. what really blows me away is that he was the unanimous choice for all 3 awards. As for the overall winners, I'm going ... MOP Cornish MOC Cornish MODP Hughes MOL Labatte MOSTP Paredes MOR Jones
  17. Good for Muamba. I think he has a good shot at winning the eastern nod for MOC and MODP
  18. To sum up Burke ... -- he's got a big mouth -- he's not a coach who wants to work WITH players, he wants them to work FOR him -- no problem throwing any/everyone under the bus -- lack of in-game strategic ability -- lack of roster management ability -- incapable of handling the media properly -- has a doghouse bigger than the new stadium -- puts his own personal vendettas ahead of the team culture see ya later Burke.
  19. Well that'd be awfully ironic lol touche.. but burkes only been a hc for how long? mistakes are to be expected unfortunately.. Burke's been a head coach for longer than the majority of our roster have been pro football players.
  20. Well that'd be awfully ironic
  21. It's not a no brainer at all because if anything thinks these guys are worth evaluating for next year, they're nuts. Guaranteed Boltus, Brown and Goltz are not back. QB1 - the one we acquire QB2 - Max Hall QB3 - new GM recruit QB4 - new GM recruit No room for any of those 3.
  22. I think it's hilarious that we're so desperate for anything to pull us out of our hole that we're actually looking at a guy who is a GOD at playing .500 football seriously.
  23. Pickles or briefs?
