  1. Can't fault Buck for a crappy Oline, crappy play calling and dropsies by the receivers. He was always positive and I assume brought a lot to the community. It is a good decision for the Blue to trade him vs his out right release, but to dump on the guy because he was getting hammered on almost every play is just sad. Maybe we should be trading all our running backs as well. They rarely get 100 yard games, so dump the bums. Oh wait, the Oline hasn't opened a hole big enough for a fart to get through, but that's ok, it's the QBs fault and the running backs fault.

Put the blame where the blame belongs.

    And...Flame away!

I'm not ragging on Buck for any of that.

I'm ragging on him because despite all of that, he was still a shitty QB.

  2.

No, Jacquie. Ask any Rider fan how their defense played. You'll get quite a different take from what  you are saying. They were just okay.

And some of those Rider fans will also say their offense and play calling sucked while begrudgingly giving the Bombers D some credit.

Go on Riderfans & see what they are saying. Very little credit  to us.

That's not what I've been reading at all.

  3. Disappointed in all the glee here. Buck wore his heart and on his sleeve and would go to war if need be for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He deserves some respect and gratitude.

Having said that the trade had to happen. As long as buck was here the other guys would be looking over their shoulders. Great move by Walters.

I wonder about the timeline though. The "undisclosed" injury, Elliott being released last week. Etc

    So what's Foster's story....

Why should I be disappointed to see Buck go?

He'll still live here in the offseason, he's a homeowner with a Winnipeg business and a Winnipeg girlfriend. All the good stuff he brings to Winnipeg will still be here.

And now he's gone from our football team.

    That's a win-win in my books.

  4.

Too many issues on the team, not a good environment for him. Chose to leave.

Where'd you hear this?  Official line is that he had another NFL opportunity

Same person that told me he signed.

I hope it's not true, but I don't see how suddenly a day into the NFL season there's interest in a 29 year old pensioned, high min salary guy who's been out of the league for two years.

  5. Glad they finally announced this, although I didn't know they would be adjusting the CIS eligibility as well.

That's very interesting, although it makes this draft year confusing because they're essentially going to be combining 2 years of CIS eligibility into 1 in the 2014 draft if I understand things correctly.

  6.

While I like the fact that Walters and co. are being proactive, something Mack wasn't known for, I don't like the idea of signing/bringing in guys just to say you are.

Bomber fans deserve a proven winner, someone that has the odds in favour of creating a winning tradition. No more unknowns or future's until the ship is righted.

With each passing week it looks more and more likely that Miller will stay on as C.E.O, Walters as the permenant G.M and Burke as the HC, which IMO is depressing.

Why with each passing week? What is happening here that is making you think this way?

    That's what I didn't quite get either.

What were people expecting? A weekly presser to update fans on the goings-on of their GM hunt?
