I get the whole "we need to pay our debt back" thing but couldn't these be exempt from the game plan of plastering ads all over everything? The ads are bigger than the pictures of the players for god sakes.

Meh, injuries are ALWAYS going to happen in camp.
Doesn't seem like a big deal, nothing serious (other than Dicroce) yet.
Edmonton, on the other hand, already lost their starting RT (and nominee for MOL in 2012) for the year.
-
I think so too.. Come to think of it.. It seems like every TC I expect one or two of Mack's cuts to end up making a roster and sticking.. I didn't think it was too common when Taman was around (not a slam on taman, more so a kudos to Mack)
It's not much of a kudos to Mack when all you do is THINK it's going to happen.
It's not like it's happened yet, really. Rene Paredes is the only one that comes to mind and that's more luck of the draw than anything.

I could be wrong but Carter COULD practice with us during the season without taking up a PR spot because he can still play for the Rifles.
-
I still don't like the idea of McGee at nickel, I'd much rather see Washington on the field in some capacity.
-
Matthews finished for the day with back spasms.
Burke says neither he or Muamba have "life threatening" injuries.
lol
-
-- Henoc Muamba and Isaac Anderson both on the field today, but not participating in drills. Seems minor.
-- No fights ........ yet
-
I still have to say I think it's going to be Simpson+Ford on the 42.

Just regarding the change to blue and gold ...
It wouldn't be any different than what you see now except the blue bars would be more "Bomber blue" and the grey bars would be gold. The white text boxe, etc would still remain the same.

I remember Johnny Aprile making a bunch of picks at safety during camp last year too.

Other Day 4 news:
- The Bombers have added import linebacker Chad Faulcon (6-0, 190, Montclair State). The 23-year-old Cranford, N.J. product was a two-year starter for the Red Hawks and named the New Jersey Athletic Conference and D3 Football.com East Regions’ Defensive player of the Year. He was also named a Division III third-team All-American. All those accolades earned him a tryout with the Atlanta Falcons, but he was released prior to their main training camp. He’ll battle for work at the WILL (weak side) linebacker position
- Burke, who called out his veteran defensive backs on Tuesday, was happy with their response since the public shot.
"The effort level has picked up," he said. "I was really happy with it yesterday, it looked like a bunch of pirhanas out there with a piece of meat. That’s the kind of defence we want. We want guys flying to the football and you won’t do it in a game if you haven’t developed the habit in practice and that’s why we harp on it so much. Yesterday and today our effort has been much better."
- RB Chris Garrett was back in action after missing the afternoon session on Tuesday, but SB Rory Kohlert pulled up lame Wednesday with a bad hamstring that will sideline him for a couple of weeks.
-
Yeah I mean, the thing about Hefney is that Burke is right, he IS our best SAM / nickel back / whatever.
But he's also our best HB. The team is better with Hefney at HB even if the SAM position is strongest when he's lined up there.

from DCM again...
So far two fights, one appeared to be Suber and Pencer, but there were so many bodies involved. McCree and Massey went at it good. Punches appeared in both.
Markett and West both picked Hall today. Poblah had a couple nice catches. Receivers have had the better hand today.
Haven't seen Kohlert return to the field. Not sure what his injury could be or what happened.
-
-
Only news I've seen come out so far is that Kohlert got dinged up and left the field early.
-
Looks like a SAM candidate.
-
Only one practice today, gets going in 20 minutes.
Post any updates / reports you may have.

Got a few bites over at the official forum last night, so hopefully we'll have some newcomers to fill the spots!
-
If they can get him for free when he's cut then they don't have to give anything up. That's the key. Heff's trade value would go up I believe if he was a starter...
I think you missed my point.
If you wait until he's cut, you run the risk that you may not be able to sign him because there's a strong market for his services.
If you give up an asset, you can secure him before other teams get a chance to make him an offer as a free agent.
-
If Huff thinks Heff could help the Stamps he'd go after him. But teams aren't stupid... if they think Hefney is going to get cut they'll just wait.
Not necessarily. If he's in demand, it might be easier to give up an asset for him as opposed to getting in a bidding war on the open market.
-
Hefney would be a starter on every team in this league.

Lots of people are going to bring up this "you have to offer a 1+1" thing but the fact of the matter is it means nothing unless it is NOT offered. If you simply forget to offer it, then you're in trouble. But there's nothing to stop you from offering it under terms that a player would be idiotic to agree to.
Teams will simply offer a reduced salary option for a 1+1 as opposed to a 2+1

I just wish certain things were off limits when it comes to generating revenue.
This is more or less the closest thing we have to a physical hall of fame or "wall of honor" or whatever you want to call it. It should be exempt, imo
