  1. I'm so frustrated by this because while I know it had to happen, it's also becoming evident that nothing is going to get fixed as long as Tim Burke is still head coach.
  2. The fact that they would consider going back to Buck ... just shows how incredibly ****** up our organization is at pretty much every level. It also shows you how incredibly stupid Tim Burke is. Let's look at the state of our franchise right now. -- We have a GM who is about to be fired, but hasn't been yet. But everyone knows it's happening. -- Our board of directors leaks to the media who uses it to write a story, then writes another story the next day criticizing that person for sharing the information. -- Our offensive coordinator is about to have his playcalling privileges removed. -- Our head coach, who already admitted he doesn't know much about our offense, is going to put his trust back in our broken down old vet QB. So basically, we have a GM but not really. An OC who does nothing. A QB carousel with zero results from any of them. A HC who doesn't know our offense but still can't help himself from meddling in it. And on top of that, if Buck goes back in now that Mack goes, it shows you that it wasn't Mack who wanted Buck back to begin with YET he's the one taking the bullet for that god awful decision. What the **** is wrong with this team???????
  3. Lawless says with Mack gone, Buck likely becomes an option at QB again. Second string at the very least.
  4. What it boils down to is this ... Whether it was meant to be or not, Mack is going to get fired and it's only a matter of time now. This leak is absolute horseshit and it makes our front office look even more bush league than normal.
  5. Another guy I'm interested in is actually John Murphy. Mainly because I like who his choice for a head coach would be. He still strikes me as more of a scout than anything. But I like the idea of Dickenson+Dickenson on our sideline and that's what JM would want.
  6. Mack 2.0 would look awful good if he would be less stubborn about the QB position. Mike Murphy understands the importance of Canadian talent, that much is certain. He's got a background as an offensive coach. I'm interested.
  7. If Higgins was a realistic option, I'd be in favor. I don't think he's interested, though.
  8. Well, firstly ... I've known he's been a consideration if they ever replaced Mack for about a year now. What should scare you, if anything, is that the same people who came up with Mack are coming up with Mike Murphy. He's got a strong football IQ though and obviously, he's learned from one of the best. Oddly enough, he used to work for the Bombers as an assistant in the player personnel department during the 1989 season.
  9. Mike Murphy ... long time NFL scout. He'd be my first choice for the job if available.
  10. Respectfully, they're sending a message that they have no respect for proper process and no clue how to be professional and handle things in an appropriate fashion.
  11. As much as I've supported Mack in the past ... and I do feel like a lot of the criticism he receives is unwarranted ... I can only be so patient with the one glaring thing he's failed to address. If he can't get it together and piece together a capable offense after four years, it's time for him to go.
  12. I'm not going to say Goltz deserves credit for four rushing touchdowns because a couple of those were in goal line situations Pierce led them to, but Pierce is still an awful quarterback. I know we're splitting hairs here but really, Goltz is better now and likely in the future. That being said, I still think Max Hall is the end-game here and I still think we're just keeping him from being thrown to the wolves before Gary figures his **** out.
  13. He's also throwing an interception almost once every 20 pass attempts compared to a touchdown once every 50+, which is absolutely horrendous for a QB of any level.

  15. No kidding. I think it's funny when people pull the Labatte thing out like it's a major point for some kind of strong argument. "Look at how Taman went out and got him." Newsflash -- the same thing happened to Taman at the exact same time with Andy Fantuz going in the other direction. It had nothing to do with who the GM was. I could have signed Labatte if I was in charge of Saskatchewan. Just like I could have signed Fantuz if I was running the Ticats. Those guys were the two biggest free agents in recent memory. They both went home. Ho hum. I don't blame Taman for losing Fantuz, I don't blame Mack (or Lapolice) for losing Labatte. You're not going to win a bidding war against geography.
  16. Instead of picking coaches for each position, let's focus on getting a quality head guy who knows how to surround himself with the people that fit his mantra. Burke is not that guy. Especially because, in my opinion, Burke doesn't even have a mantra. He is the epitome of a coach who seems to just be wingin it
  17. No kidding. If they turn things around, they're more than welcome to stay. It IS quite possible, while not probable, that a switch will go on for our offense.
