  1. a) Buck hasn't been better calling someone a "dipshit" isn't going to fly, so let's not let that happen again please. c) Even if Buck had been better, I'd certainly hope that isn't the ceiling he's expected to reach as a 7 year CFL veteran.
  2. WHY OH WHY do we keep accepting mediocrity from guys like Morley, Boatman and Denmark when the defense is a freakin revolving door if you aren't in top form.
  3. As much as I want to disagree, I can't. Our team sucks and while I don't know what the answer is, I'm sure not going to enjoy watching these guys try and figure it out.
  4. How baked are you this afternoon?
  5. why the hell are you teasing me? Consider this a written warning. Next time, I'll ban you. (just kidding)
  6. Had me worried. Feels weird that the game is late on a holiday though. I expected a 2 PM start.
  7. What is depleted about BC's offensive line? Isn't it just Fabien out of the lineup?
  8. If you do and you're willing to sell ... I'm interested. Men's M/L I'd prefer a blank but I'd consider anything I can get my hands on.
  9. Here's what I don't understand. Would January-Greaves-Sorenson-Swiston-Pencer really be any worse at this point than January-Greaves-Sorenson-Morley-Boatman? Throw Swiston and Pencer into the fire like Calgary has done with Brett Jones or Edmonton has done with Matt O'Donnell and hey, maybe they surprise you. And if not, it's not like the guys we don't have in their spots currently are doing much better.
  10. Let's go with ... Matthews and Sheets
  11. Just saw that. They look nice. Maybe I'll pick one up before Labour Day.
  12. I'm at the point where I'd probably let Belt Loops run our team if it meant a better chance at a Grey Cup.
  13. It's a vote of confidence for Goltz, which he deserves. This is the proper way to develop a QB. He's had time to develop in our system and now they feel he's earned the job without having to deal with the same **** guys like Brink and Elliott did on a weekly basis. This is really the proper way to do it. Saying he's the starting QB for the rest of the year gives him a chance to work through issues without feeling like he is at risk.
  14. A number of them. lol
  15. I don't expect Goltz to do anything. But he shouldn't have to. Buck should be a better teammate. I'll be honest though ... the locker room is tired of this sideshow. The team as a whole has been ready to move on for a while.
  16. agreed. There were plenty of games that Buck got hurt in where you could have easily justified pulling him for not performing.
  17. Exactly. Like it or not, Pierce is basically telling people he thinks he is better than Goltz.
  18. That part is professional. This part is not. Neither was the quote I can't track down right now where he said last week that he "disagreed" with them not playing him vs. Calgary.
  19. But the stance he's taking on it is just not professional. I don't expect him to be happy. I do expect him to take it like a professional, not like an entitled brat who doesn't realize he doesn't have it anymore.
  20. Bull. If anything, it's the other way around.
  21. I find this very interesting. If he knew about the decision ... why didn't he understand what the role was? Is he clueless? Does he not understand the duties of a veteran third-string quarterback?
  22. In Pierce's last 18 games (so a full season of appearances) here are his numbers: And let's not discount the fact that we have to go all the way back to September of 2011 to total up 18 appearances. 240/395 (60.7%) for 3125 yards, 9 TD and 21 INT In the same time frame (for fair comparison) here are the combined numbers of every other Bomber QB 394/662 (59.5%) for 4638 yards, 19 TD and 23 INT For the record, here are some more numbers to chew on over that time frame. Pierce is throwing an INT every 18.8 passes, while the other QBs averaged an INT every 28.7 passes Pierce averaged 7.95 passing yards per attempt, while the other QBs averaged 7 passing yards per attempt. Pierce averaged a TD pass every 43.8 (!!!) passes, while the other QBs averaged a TD pass every 34.8 (still horrible) In that time frame, Pierce had one 300 yard passing game and three games where he threw more touchdowns than interceptions. That is absolutely horrible. In comparison, the other QBs we've trotted out have pieced together five 300 yard games (including a 400 yard game) and eleven games with more passing touchdowns than interceptions. The last time Buck Pierce had a game with 2+ TD and 0 INT? August 26, 2011. He's only done it three times in four years with the Bombers. Joey Elliott and Alex Brink matched that number in 2012 combined.
