  1. Yeah, losing Lawler definitely hurts if that ends up being the case. That being said, we haven’t won the Grey Cup with him the last two years either so I’m willing to try something different. it can go one of many ways, but with our front office shake up, I’m hoping maybe we can see some talent brought in for position groups we’ve struggled with for the past couple seasons (edge rusher, linebacker) … they’ve got the pedigree for it, that’s for sure
  2. What is there to explain? They are adding contracts they can afford to add.
  3. I mean, it makes sense … who was making money on that team before? Korte and Geno Lewis? they have a ton of mid pay level guys they’re moving on from … Steward, Oakman, Mayala, Kyran, Leonard, Purifoy, Moncrief, Foucault … it’s no wonder they are spending money, they had a ton of space
  4. Hatcher back to BC Feels like we’re going to be the odd man out in the receiver bidding, Geno will go to Calgary after they lose out on Lawler and we’ll end up with Rhymes or Acklin
  5. so tired of people complaining about the salary cap when they have no idea how it works we play this game literally every year “omg how can these 5? 6? teams do this does the salary cap not exist?” and then maybe 1 at most is over at the end of the season
  6. Recovered fine last year, I thought
  7. Yeah, I heard the same thing earlier today. Not surprising, but it hurts a bit. I do hope we pivot to Hatcher or Geno.
  8. Really good call by both of you, I like Nield
  9. I mean you can say this all you want, but it has lol this legal tampering period is such a farce, all the deals will be done
  10. I’m not sure why people are even remotely worried about our work in free agency … Dillon Mitchell and Jonathan Jones are both real big pieces in my eyes, Schoen brought back is a huge win, almost every valuable OL is still out there for now and we’re doing a decent job of picking up some depth where we need it.
  11. Man, Booch … I gotta say lol you’ve lost me so far this off-season You’re literally letting JT and Kyrie dictate your mood on every move we make and it’s showing BIG TIME ”for such a preferred destination we sure are missing on guys” lol you know we can’t sign everyone right? and not every signing is an “at all costs” signing … who’s to say there hasn’t been interest in some guys and then our FO says “oh, at that price? No thanks” just relax sheesh
  12. I like that Cobb signing. Good depth piece.
  13. He’s signing in Hamilton, I believe this does feel like the off-season where Booch has jumped the shark a bit though lol
  14. I couldn’t have less interest in Diontae Spencer, that would have about as much impact as the Tevaughn Campbell signing in Sask just now
  15. This feels like something you of all people are literally not allowed to be upset about You (just like me) have been shouting that we need to make room for some younger guys to have opportunities to become impact players and you’ve been talking up one in particular for quite some time This is a move to replace a fairly average player and your guy you’ve been talking up will potentially have a fair shot to fill that spot I’m not mad at all, Garbutt wasn’t anywhere near what we thought he would be
  16. He’s literally the youngest of the three between Lawler, him and Geno
  17. I think I’d rather have Hatcher
  18. I assumed as much. Kenny is his own worst enemy sometimes lol
  19. Holm to safety? Someone in there could make the move. Hopefully not Kramdi, I’d be apprehensive about that one but maybe Stubblefield or Holm could work there.
  20. Sounds like we’re in on Reggie Stubblefield with Hamilton, Calgary and Edmonton
  21. I LOVE that signing. Great piece to have.
  22. Part of me just thinks they’re feeling the pinch. They’ve got some big price tags. Rourke, McInnis, Betts are a massive chunk of change. That being said, maybe they do go for Lawler. I honestly wouldn’t mind Hatcher, he’s a dawg. I feel like he’s got Calgary or Toronto written all over him though for some reason.
  23. I’m very okay with Lofton, I like the continuity with the edges. Hardrick was meh and a repurposed castoff until he wasn’t too.
