  1. Classic lol another player hurt and we’re yet again going to have no viable replacement for him on our practice roster
  2. Brady is going to easily reach 2000 yards this season
  3. Except when I’m drunk on gameday but that doesn’t count
  4. It’s kind of funny to me how you spent the first few games of the year belittling anyone who had a problem with anything, then after we had a few ugly games, you were basically acting as if our run of success was over and you had no confidence anymore, but now you’re the one talking about others going overboard. I’ve been pretty even keel with it all year. Our roster management sucks and I’m not worried about the results changing my mind. I’m worried about the fact that our results could be so much better if we did things a little differently.
  5. Our PR use is a joke and continues to be a joke. We had Deng on our neg list for over a year. You bring him in and cut him within a week? What the **** are your scouts doing if you neg list a guy and then cut him without even a training camp or a live rep?
  6. Kuony Deng is a player I’ve been excited about since I heard he was on their negotiation list. You can do a lot of things with a guy like that, he’s got good edge rushing ability but he’s also an unbelievable tackler in open space … I think his numbers his best year at Cal were like 110 tackles in 13 games or something.
  7. There are simply adjustments that aren’t being made and something needs to be done about it. We need the staff to have a long, hard look at what happens within their offices because I see so many deficiencies that are coming directly from our coaching staff. There’s not much that they’re doing right now that I care for - the preparation, execution and player management is all leaving a ton to be desired and they’re smart enough to realize it. How are they going to address it?
  8. I’m not suggesting anything. I’m genuinely curious. What am I missing because I don’t understand what he’s doing for our team that makes it better right now
  9. I mean, he doesn't call the plays, he doesn't seem to be an effective in-game tactician, he doesn't manage the roster properly, he doesn’t make solid choices with regards to taking the ball/field position, he doesn’t seem to be consistently getting the team ready to play … what DOES he do?
  10. Serious question I’d love to see discussed here: what does Mike O’Shea actually do to contribute to this team on gameday right now?
  11. Can you guys imagine how many more points we would’ve scored if we dressed Haba? hehe
  12. I think Streveler is back next year when Dru walks in free agency. Then we can move on from Prukop, have an eye towards the future when Collaros walks and get everything sorted out kind of all in one. Streveler didn’t leave as a starting caliber QB but I would not be surprised if he returned as one
  13. I would also like to go a day without complaining about the roster management. If only the coach would do something so I could stop complaining.
  14. I would be surprised if Walters (probably more so Danny Mac or Ted) aren’t maybe a little frustrated. All that work scouting in the off-season really not getting much chance to show off in season this year.
  15. No coach I’d rather have than O’Shea, but I’m with Booch … his roster management is horrendous. I’m not concerned with how good we’re doing, I’m concerned with how we could be doing so much better. It’s almost comical in a way because everything that Booch and I have been saying all year is more or less exactly what has happened, but people still want to make excuses for it. We said key injuries with improper use of the practice roster will lead to us not being able to replace guys adequately - look at Janarion Grant. We said not having a proper rotation on the DL will gas Willie/Jeffcoat - they haven’t had a sack in forever and are visibly gassed. We said rostering a bunch of special teams bodies in lieu of some actual defensive depth may cost us a game down the road - look at how gassed our D was in Ottawa, even if you want to put the blame for the L in other areas. This roster management has been atrocious all year. Do I want O’Shea fired? No. Do I want someone to tell him that he needs to wake up and start doing a better job of it? Yes please. And don’t start up with this “he knows more about football than we could ever know” stuff, there’s a reason every single head coach gets fired at some point and it’s because they’re people just like us - with weak points, biases and blind spots that affect them just as they affect other human beings.
  16. Haba to the PR is absolutely ****** brain dead
  17. O’Shea continues his spiral
  18. Parker is absolute buttcheeks on special teams
  19. Rider fans in the stadium cheering the injury to Collaros what a bunch of ******* inbred losers
  20. One of the worst Bomber halves I’ve seen in the O’Shea era and we’re only down by 6
  21. Worse today but it sounds like they anticipate it clearing up by about 7-8 pm so maybe just an ultra late start
  22. I’d be surprised if the game didn’t get pushed back to a later start or maybe postponed entirely The air quality here today is horrendous
  23. If you’re a good team, is there any kind of schedule other than a soft one right now? Two thirds of the league sucks.
  24. You say this, but other than a few emotional posts here and there, I see mostly the other side (the one telling everyone to stop complaining about the way our roster is managed) as the only side who doesn't really offer a "mid-point approach". There's nothing wrong with being critical if it's warranted and trust me, the criticism is warranted. I don't need to talk about the results, those speak for themselves and obviously we are all thrilled to be 8-2. What concerns me is the process. Even if we set aside the debate as to whether roster management can cost us a single game or not (I do think it can and already has this year, but whatever), I don't know how anyone can be pleased with the way we manage our game day roster. We dress far too many special teams players for a team that doesn't exactly stand out from the rest of the league on special teams, we have zero depth on the defensive side of the ball, we blatantly and stubbornly ignore rules that could be used to our advantage and we rely on far too many washed up and/or non-contributing players. Have the Bombers done a good job of addressing issues? I mean ... I guess so? In my opinion, it's not so cut and dry. They've addressed some blatant ones like our kicking situation and they've done a good job of building depth at certain areas like DB and OL, but they really haven't done a lot of the proactive move making they used to do in order to prepare for the unexpected situations that may come up. We have exactly zero Americans preparing to fill roles as linebackers in case of an injury ... one healthy American edge rusher if Willie or Jeffcoat go down this week ... a sort of pseudo-running back to replace Brady if he gets hurt ... our practice roster makeup genuinely makes little to no sense (why is there a 36 year old punter on it? Could we not just airlift him in if Sheahan goes down? What would genuinely have to happen for Tomoya Machino to ever get on the gameday roster? He's like our 5th string backup at any OL position) and we haven't seemed to use it as a way to develop Americans in a few years now. Despite what people seem to think, we've been a fairly healthy team for a few years now. Our depth hasn't really been tested all that much and if it does have to be, I'm not sure it's a test they'd pass. All in all, very happy with the results our team puts out. Don't love the process, not really sure why i should. We're mostly getting by on pure talent at this point (absolute testament to Walters, etc) but our gameday execution in all facets is leaving a TON to be desired.
